Los Angeles, March 28 - Marvel Studios' decision to live stream the cast announcement of its next Avengers movies Avengers: Doomsday has been a huge blockbuster with the record viewership. The studio announced the cast on Wednesday during a nearly five-and-a-half-hour live stream. ## The cast announcement drew the biggest live stream viewership of Marvel Studios ever, with 275 million digital views and 3.1 million social mentions, according to Deadline. Marvel also confirmed the viewership data on its X account and thanked Marvel fans for the massive response. ## Deadline also reported that the number is more than five times the social volume of Deadpool and Wolverine's Super Bowl trailer from last year. Deadpool & Wolverine is currently the most viewed trailer of all time.## The event yielded over 55 distinct trending terms on X throughout the day, with #AvengersDoomsday holding the #1 trending spot on the platform for over 7 hours. Los Angeles, March 27 - The Avengers have assembled once again, 6 years after Avengers Endgame emerged as one of the biggest grossers in history, as the filming of Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday has begun. ## On Wednesday, Marvel Studios surprised everyone when it announced the cast of the upcoming film during a nearly five-and-a-half-hour live stream. The cast of Doomsday has some surprising names, consisting of a mix of Marvel Cinematic Universe mainstays as well as actors from 20th Century Fox's now-defunct X-Men universe and upcoming stars of Fantastic Four: First Steps. ## The studio announced 26 actors who would feature in the upcoming film, and among the returning cast members from Endgame are Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Winston Duke as M'Baku. As previously announced, Robert Downey Jr. will be back as the villain Doctor Doom instead of Iron Man.## The cast of Marvel's upcoming May release, Thunderbolts*, was also confirmed with Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), and Lewis Pullman. Mumbai, March 27 - The highest-grossing animated movie of all time and the biggest grosser ever in a single market, China's mega box office blockbuster Ne Zha 2 is all set to hit the Indian cinemas this April via Warner Bros. Pictures. ## The animated fantasy action adventure film will be released on April 25, almost three months after the original release on January 29. Directed by Jiaozi, Ne Zha 2 has been a box office storm ever since its release to become the first animated title to gross $2+ billion globally. ## Ne Zha 2 has grossed $2.10+ billion at the worldwide box office so far, including $2.07 billion in China alone. Kochi, March 26 — The Malayalam film industry is on the verge of joining only four other Indian film industries in scoring a 50 crore opening at the worldwide box office as superstar Mohanlal's highly-anticipated action thriller L2: Empuraan has created history for it. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan is all set to storm the box office after scoring sensational advance sales in India and worldwide. The film's opening day pre-sales have crossed 50 crores gross globally, making it the first Mollywood title to do so. ## Ever since the advance booking of Empuraan was opened, it has been breaking records with each passing day, and to be able to score more than 2x of the previous biggest Malayalam opener Marakkar (20 crores gross), in pre-sales only, is a remarkable feat no one saw coming. ## Previously, Bollywood ("Chennai Express"), Tollywood ("Baahubali"), Kollywood ("Kabali"), and Sandalwood ("KGF 2") were able to score a 50 crore opening. Mumbai, March 25 - Dharma Productions' biographical drama Kesari Chapter 2 first teaser was launched on March 24 and it has been met with a unanimous positive reception all around. It stars superstar Akshay Kumar in the lead role alongside R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday. ## Kesari 2 is based on the life of C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who fought for the truth behind the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The teaser tragically reflects on the painful historical incident and shows the bravery of a man who shook the British empire.## The reception to the teaser has been blockbuster and according to the makers, it generated 40+ million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. Kochi, March 25 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan has become the first Malayalam film ever to sell 1 million tickets in advance on the online ticketing platform, Book My Show with 2 days still left for the release. ## The advance booking of Empuraan was opened on Friday (March 21) and since then, it has been selling tickets like hotcakes. On the first day, the movie sold a record-breaking 628K tickets on BMS, 163K on the second day, 110K on the third day and 100K+ tickets on 4th day. ## Of all the tickets sold, around 70%-80% have been sold in the home state, Kerala. On the opening day, the movie sold tickets worth approximately 15 crore gross in India, including around 10 crore gross in Kerala. It has already shattered the opening day to opening weekend record for a Mollywood title, be it in pre-sales or box office opening. ## Empuraan has guaranteed to score 50+ crores on the first day and 100+ crores at the opening weekend at the worldwide box office.
