Los Angeles, March 5 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are fast approaching their releases. Doomsday will be the first to release in 2026, followed by Secret Wars in 2027, and the Russo Brothers, who are set to direct both, have revealed the estimated runtime of both films. ## Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub for their upcoming film, The Electric State, the director duo teased the runtime of their high-profile Marvel blockbusters. Both films will be longer than most of the Marvel movies. The longest-running film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Endgame (182 minutes), was directed by Russos and it was their last MCU film.## Well, the upcoming Avengers movies may not necessarily be the longest films in the MCU but they are surely going to be the closest to the longest film as according to the directors, the first one (Doomsday) is two and a half, and the second one (Secret Wars) is three hours long.## Doomsday, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 1, 2026, will start filming this summer. As per Russos, it will be the most radical Marvel movie to date and the audience will be shocked to see it. It will revolve around Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom and will also involve the new Fantastic Four — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach along with other MCU stars.## The follow-up to Doomsday will be Secret Wars which begins filming next year and be released on May 7, 2027. The comeback of Russos in the MCU as director along with Downey Jr. in a different role has already raised the hype for both movies. There are rumours that Chris Evans, the OG Captain America, might also return though he has been denying his entry. ## Meanwhile, ahead of the Avengers movies, there will be two MCU releases in the form of most-waited Thunderbolts (2nd May 2025), and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2 July 2025).## Stay tuned...

Kochi, March 5 - Malayalam star Unni Mukundan's box office blockbuster Marco has reportedly been halted for the television premiere and is also likely to be stopped from OTT release due to the violent content. The movie is directed by Haneef Adeni. ## Touted as the most violent film, Marco was censored with an A rating (18+) for the big screen release by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) but the body has denied the permission to screen the movie on television. CBFC has also reportedly asked the government to ban the movie from streaming on OTT platforms.## It is to be noted that to premiere the film on television, it has to obtain a U/A or U certificate from the board. In the case of Marco, the central board accepted the recommendation of the regional examination committee and based on that, it was found that the movie contained too much violence to be changed to a U/A or U-category film. ## If the makers want, they can re-submit for permission by cutting more scenes but they are unlikely to do so as it will make the film irrelevant. It is probably the first movie in recent times to get banned from TV premiere and the decision is not surprising given the scrutiny CBFC has been under recently.## Marco, despite its huge box office success with a 100+ crore gross collection, has faced criticism for showing too much violence, and so has the CBFC for allowing its release in theatres. Meanwhile, the producer of the film has said that he will not make films like Marco in future, though their intention was not to promote violence. Nonetheless, the right decision has been made to halt its premiere on television, a medium where all age groups watch the content.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, March 5 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has announced the re-release of the cult romantic-comedy Namastey London, starring Katrina Kaif as the female lead. Originally released in 2007, this Vipul Amrutlal Shah's directorial has been one of the iconic films in Akshay's filmography. ## Namastey London is an absolute favourite of fans of this genre and due to its popular songs, iconic dialogues and evergreen romantic chemistry between the lead pair, the movie has aged well among the masses. The makers have announced its re-release after 17 years, continuing the ongoing trend of re-releasing the old classic Bollywood films. ## Akshay Kumar took to social media to confirm that Namastey London will hit the big screens on March 14, on the occasion of Holi. Mumbai, March 5 - The rumours around director Atlee's big-budgeted film with superstar Salman Khan refuse to die except for the fact that it has been shelved, as per industry sources. The mega 2-hero film was supposed to set the box office on fire but not anymore. ## There have been many rumours regarding the shelving of Atlee's film with Salman. Since the movie was supposed to be a 2-hero epic, superstar Rajinikanth was reportedly in talks to come on board to join Salman. The temptation was also made to bring Kamal Haasan on board but nothing made to the cut.## Amid the reports that the film got shelved due to budget issues, the latest report by Pinkvilla revealed that it has been put on the back burner due to the unavailability of Rajinikanth because of the date issues. Kamal Haasan too wasn't sure about playing the second lead role, which, as per the report, was the role of the father of Salman's character.## Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie and he will next start Nelson's Jailer 2 soon, so was difficult to secure his dates for A6 in the immediate future. Since the project was supposed to have cost over 600 crores, the movie needed a big South superstar to justify this huge cost but things didn't fall in place.## Pinkvilla has denied the rumours of the project getting shelved due to budget. It is said that Salman Khan and Atlee were confident of getting either Rajini or Kamal Haasan to join the film which was also a demand of Sun Pictures and once that didn't happen, the duo decided to not proceed with the film for now and they might join hands in future for a different script. ## Meanwhile, A6 will now be made with superstar Allu Arjun who is fresh from the all-time blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule. Mumbai, March 3 - Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster Chhaava continues to merry the box office with the excellent collection. In 17 days so far, the historical action drama has grossed approximately 625 crores worldwide, including 548 crores gross in India. ## Chhaava has sold 2.17+ crores of tickets at the box office in 17 days which is the highest for an Indian film of 2025 so far. Meanwhile, on the online ticketing platform, BookMyShow, the movie has crossed 10+ million (1+ crore) tickets, making it the first movie of the year to do so. ## Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is already the highest-grossing film of the director along with actor Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna and the third biggest grosser for Rashmika Mandanna. It is heading towards finishing its run with over 500+ crores net in India and 700+ crores gross worldwide. ## The movie, produced by Maddock Films, is based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. Hyderabad, March 3 - Superstar Jr. NTR has teamed up with director Prashanth Neel for a big-budgeted Pan India movie which recently commenced filming in Hyderabad. The movie is being produced by industry giant Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts on a huge budget. ## NTR-Neel's is one of the most anticipated Indian films in the making and as had been reported in the media, the movie's title has been confirmed as Dragon by the makers. During the success celebration of Tamil blockbuster Dragon, which is distributed by Mythri Movie Makers in Nizam and Ceded Area, the makers confirmed the title and also revealed a few more details. ## Producer Ravi Shankar confirmed that NTRNeel is titled Dragon and it is a unique script that hasn't been seen in Indian cinema before. He also said that it will be released in international languages and showed confidence in the movie's box office performance, saying "sky is the limit". ## Dragon was announced for Sankranthi 2026 release and producer Ravi Shankar reiterated the commitment of the team to bring the film as scheduled. The movie reportedly features Rukmani Vasanth as the female lead alongside Tovino Thomas in a prominent role. The first look of the film is expected to be out on May 20.## Meanwhile, Jr. NTR is expected to join the shoot of Dragon by April this year. He is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller War 2, co-starring Hrithik Roshan in the parallel lead. Hyderabad, March 3 - Natural star Nani has reunited with director Srikanth Odela for an action thriller film The Paradise. The film is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner of SLV Cinemas and also stars Sonali Kulkarni in the prominent role. ## The Paradise has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced and the makers, on March 3rd, released the first look glimpse which shows why it is one of the most hyped Telugu films. Chennai, March 3 - Actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan is taking giant steps towards becoming the next big thing in Tamil cinema after scoring his maiden 100 crores grosser in the form of Dragon which is his only second film as a lead actor. The first film, Love Today (2022) was also a huge blockbuster but missed out on 100 crores gross by a small margin. ## Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the coming-of-age comedy-drama has been a box-office triumph since the day it was released on February 21. On the back of positive reviews and reception from the audience, Dragon scored a big opening and showed a stronghold during weekdays. ## The film entered the second weekend after one of the biggest first-week collections for a young hero and on its 10th day, it entered the 100 crores club at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie has grossed approximately 84 crores, including around 57 crores in Tamil Naud while overseas collection is approximately 25 crores for the global 10 days' total of 109 crores gross. ## Dragon is only the second Tamil movie after Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi (136 crores gross) and the 7th Indian title of 2025 to enter the 100 crores club. The film's incredible box office performance is set to take it past Vidaamuyarchi in the coming days to make it the biggest Tamil grosser of the year so far. ## Produced by AGS Entertainment, Dragon also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, George Maryan, K. Mumbai, March 2 - Chinese mega-blockbuster Ne Zha 2 has done the unthinkable by topping $2 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming the first animated title of all time to achieve this milestone.## The fantasy adventure has taken just 33 days since its release in China on January 29 to hit the $2 billion mark, joining six other films in this prestigious box office club. Of $2 billion, the sequel has grossed $1.96 billion in China alone which is already the biggest total ever in a single market.## In its box office journey so far, Ne Zha 2 has consistently delivered the biggest single-day collections of all time. Made on a budget of $80 million, the film is showing no sign of slowing down and is very much on course to break more records in days to come. ## Ne Zha 2 is certain to finish among the top 5 biggest grossers in the worldwide box office history. It will next outgross Avengers: Infinity War ($2.04 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06 billion) in the next few days, and then, will need to see how far it can go. ## As said, Ne Zha 2 is only the seventh film to cross the $2 billion mark globally.
