'Spider-Man 4' Gets A New Release Date

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Los Angeles, February 22 - Last year, it was confirmed officially that Tom Holland would return to lead Spider-Man 4 and it was also revealed that Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton would take on the directing duties. ## Sony Pictures had scheduled this Marvel superhero movie for July 24, 2026, with filming to take place in the summer of this year. However, with the shoot yet to commence, the studio has pushed back the release date of the next Spider-Man movie by a week. ## The film will now be released on July 31, 2026. This change gives the film extra distance from the release of director Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which also stars Holland and hits theatres on July 17, 2026. The gap between the two movies is still not big enough, hence, the trade is expecting another change in the release plans of Spider-Man 4. ## Spider-Man 4 will be the second Marvel Cinematic Universe release of 2026 after Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released two months earlier on May 1st. Spider-Man 4 will clash with Paramount's animated feature Paw Patrol 3, slated for the July 31 launch. No other films are currently booked for this date. ## This is also not the first time a Spider-Man movie is releasing shortly after the Avengers film. Previously, Tom Holland-led Spider-Man: Far From Home was released just two months after Avengers: Endgame and it went on to gross over a billion dollars at the worldwide box office.## The yet untitled Spider-Man 4 is the 4th Spidey movie featuring Holland in the titular role. The third film, Spider-Man: No Way Home was released in December 2021 and nearly made $2 billion globally as one of the highest-grossing films post the Covid-19 pandemic.## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Chhaava' Second Friday (Day 8) Early Estimates

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, February 21 - After the excellent first week, Vicky Kaushal-fronted historical action drama Chhaava is all set for the explosive second weekend at the domestic box office. ## The movie has shown growth on the second Friday and has again crossed the 20+ crores mark which is fantastic. It began the day with a drop as compared to yesterday but got jumped during the evening and night shows as early estimates suggest 22.50-23.50 crores net day. ## There have been only three films in the past to score 20+ crores net collection on the second Friday, so this is phenomenal for Chhaava to do that. This second Friday hold has set the tone for 80+ crores net weekend which will be among the biggest ever in Hindi. ## To further understand the domination of Chhaava, it has the lowest drop among the films to collect 20+ crores net on the second Friday from the first Friday. The total collection of Chhaava is 241+ crores net after 8 days and it will be entering the 300 crores club on the second Sunday already. ## Stay tuned...

A Hat-Trick of Blockbusters For Rashmika Mandanna With Chhaava, Pushpa 2, And Animal

BY SUNIT JANGIR

Mumbai, February 21 - It is not an exaggeration if I say that Rashmika Mandanna is the most-in-demand female actor in Indian cinema at present. She is full of films all the time and her ability to switch from one film to another in no time makes her the absolute darling of the filmmakers and her co-stars. Apart from doing content-driven cinema, Rashmika's almost pinpoint accuracy when it comes to choosing mass-appealing films is something that makes her one of the most successful stars of the country.## As we speak, the actress has indeed achieved a remarkable feat at the box office with a hat-trick of blockbusters, cementing her status as one of the leading actresses in Indian cinema. Her latest film, Chhaava, released on February 14, has taken the box office by storm, joining the ranks of her previous mega-hits, Animal (2023) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024). These three films have not only showcased her versatility but also her ability to draw massive audiences across different languages and genres.## Animal - Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this Bollywood action drama featured Rashmika alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Released on December 1, 2023, it became the highest-grossing A-rated Indian film in history, collecting approximately 915 crore worldwide. Rashmika's portrayal of Geetanjali, a strong and emotional character, resonated with audiences and contributed significantly to the film's success.## Pushpa 2: The Rule - Released on December 5 last year, this Telugu-origin Pan India blockbuster sequel saw Rashmika reprising her role as Srivalli opposite Icon Star Allu Arjun. Directed by Sukumar, the film shattered box office records, grossing around 1750 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. It broke every record in Hindi domestically and emerged as the biggest grosser with over 1000 crores worldwide. The actress's intense performance and the character's expanded arc further solidified her pan-India appeal.## Chhaava - A historical action drama directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava stars Rashmika as Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale alongside Vicky Kaushal, who plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Released on February 14 the film crossed 100 crore in India within its opening weekend and has continued its strong run, topping 200 crore net in its first week and 300 crores gross worldwide. This success highlights Rashmika’s ability to shine in a period drama, adding another dimension to her repertoire.## This hat-trick underscores Rashmika Mandanna's incredible run at the box office, with each film crossing significant milestones - Animal with over 500 crore in India, Pushpa 2 as an all-time grosser, and Chhaava emerging as a Bollywood blockbuster in 2025. Her consistent delivery of hits across Telugu and Hindi cinema, combined with her growing fan base, positions her as a powerhouse performer. With upcoming projects like Sikandar alongside Salman Khan, Rashmika's streak of success shows no signs of slowing down.## Stay tuned...
