Hyderabad, November 26 - The record will be in sight as the pre-sales of the highly-anticipated Pan India movie Pushpa 2 - The Rule starring superstar Allu Arjun begins next week. The buzz for this Sukumar's directorial is at an all-time high and the stage is set to make the most of it. ## Scheduled to be released on December 5, the pre-sales of Pushpa 2 is expected to open on November 30, Saturday which is 5 days before the release in India. As said, the movie will be targeting the biggest opening day as well as the weekend pre-sales in India, especially in Hindi. ## The current opening day pre-sales record is with superstar Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter which scored around 40 crores gross (with block seats) for the opening day. Without block seats, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan scored the biggest advance booking sales in Hindi with 36 crores gross for the opening day. (Note - with tracked shows only) ## The on-ground buzz of Pushpa 2 seems to be extraordinary and it is expected to wreak havoc at the box office in mass belts. The trade is anticipating record booking once the full-fledged pre-sales open on November 30 and if things go as expected, it will create a new record of sales for the opening day. ## Pushpa 2 will have a solo release as Maddock Films' Chhaava, which was supposed to be released on December 6, has been postponed. Hyderabad, November 26 - In less than 2 weeks, superstar Allu Arjun's highly-anticipated action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule hits the big screen and expectations are that it will be among the biggest Indian openers, and possibly the biggest opener at the box office. ## Over the last couple of years, Indian cinema has seen some of the biggest blockbusters which exceeded theatrical runtime of 3 hours. And now, Pushpa 2 can be among those as the rumoured runtime of the same is almost the same as Ranbir Kapoor's A-rated mega-blockbuster Animal. ## According to the reports, the theatrical runtime of Pushpa 2 is approximately 3 hours and 21 minutes which is almost 22 minutes more than the first movie, Pushpa - The Rise. Normally, action films can give the feel of being stretched with this much runtime but the reports indicate that the film is coming out very well as the final edit is being locked. ## Pushpa - The Rule is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. It is the second part of Pushpa - The Rise which was released in December 2021 and emerged as a box office success. Los Angeles, November 26—Last year, the Barbenheimer (Barbie and Oppenheimer) phenomenon stormed the box office from its record-breaking start to its historic finish. Both movies collectively grossed over $2.4 billion worldwide and were two of the year's highest-grossing films, with Barbie finishing at the top with $1.44 billion. ## More than a year later, another box office clash called Glicked (Gladiator II and Wicked) is making waves. It is not exactly as big as Barbenheimer but powerful enough to keep the trade excited going forward where Wicked is behaving like Barbie while Gladiator II can be the Oppenheimer. ## The Ridley Scott's directorial R-rated epic historical action drama, Gladiator 2 has already surpassed $200 million globally after debuting internationally on November 13. Through Sunday (November 24), G2 has made $165.5 million at the overseas box office while it debuted domestically (North America) on November 22 and grossed $55 million in the opening weekend for a worldwide cume of $220 million. ## Wicked, which is a musical fantasy film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, had a strong debut domestically with a huge $112.5 million opening weekend. Internationally, the movie grossed $50 million the first weekend after releasing a day early on November 21 as the worldwide opening weekend of the film is $162.5 million. ## Both films have collectively earned over $380 million worldwide through Sunday and with solid audience reception, the trade is expecting long legs for both movies at the domestic and international box office. ## Stay tuned...

Chennai, November 25 - Tamil star Suriya's most ambitious film Kanguva has crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office. While this could have been a major milestone of any other film of Suriya, the same is not with Kanguva which is facing outright rejection from audiences after a promising yet underwhelming start. ## Directed by Siva, Kanguva was a film keenly awaited by audiences and was seen as a potential big blockbuster at the box office. But all the hype around the film faded immediately after it got a disastrous reception from the moviegoers and critics upon release and there was no relief since then. ## The film crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office on its 10th day. Domestically, Kanguva has grossed approximately 78 crores, including around 32 crores gross in Tamil Nadu. Overseas, the movie has minted an estimated approximately 23 crore gross for 101 crores worldwide gross in 10 days. ## As said, Kanguva's performance at the box office has been a shocker and it is nowhere near the tall claims made by the makers before the release. Hyderabad, November 25 - Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's prestigious devotional action drama Kannappa is one of the keenly-awaited Telugu movies with big actors featuring in it. The movie is directed by Mahabharata fame Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. ## Kannappa has been in the making since last year and the makers have now confirmed its release date. On Monday, Vishnu Manchu took to social media to announce that the film would be hitting worldwide cinemas on April 25, 2025, in multiple languages. The team unveiled a poster showcasing a trident to reveal the release date. ## The film was initially planned for a December 2024 release but the makers are taking extra time in the production to make sure the best output is ready. Mumbai, November 25 - Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta-starrer two-decade-old romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho continued to impress in its re-release run at the box office amid the few other choices available. ## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie was re-released on November 15 and scored approximately 2.40 crores gross collection in the first week. It remained the number 1 choice in the second weekend among the re-release titles and grossed solid around 1.30 crores. ## After 10 days, the total re-release collection of KHNH is around 3.70 crores gross (3.15 crores net), making it already one of the biggest Bollywood re-release grossers of the year. It comfortably beat Karan Arjun and Pushpa - The Rise which got re-released this past weekend and minuted around 1 crore and 70 lakh gross, respectively in the opening weekend. ## With new releases slowing down, KHNH should run steadily until December 5, when the highly anticipated Pushpa 2—The Rule will be released. Mumbai, November 24 - There were a couple of re-releases this weekend at the Hindi box office in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan-fronted cult classic Karan Arjun and Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa - The Rise of which the sequel is gearing up for December 5 release worldwide. ## Karan Arjun, directed by Rakesh Roshan, had a wide re-release with over 2000 shows scheduled daily during the opening weekend. However, the movie couldn't replicate the success of the recent Bollywood re-releases and ended with the opening of around 1 crore gross collection. ## There wasn't much movement in the collection after the opening day of around 30 lakh gross as Saturday figures were almost similar to Friday and on Sunday, the movie is expected to gross around 40 lakh. With a not-so-encouraging opening weekend after a wide re-release, Karan Arjun is unlikely to have much impact during the weekdays. ## Allu Arjun's Pushpa - The Rise also had a wide re-release this weekend in Hindi and managed to gross around 70 lakh in the opening weekend. There wasn't much awareness about the re-release of the film among the audiences so whatever it has earned is a bonus. ## The Sukumar's directorial, which was originally released in 2021, grossed around 20 lakh on its first day of re-release, followed by 25 lakh each on Saturday and Sunday. Hyderabad, November 24 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of 2024 with over 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. The movie, directed by Nag Ashwin, is the first instalment in a planned Kalki Cinematic Universe in which some details are revealed. ## During a recent media interaction, producer Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies revealed that they have already shot around 30-35% of Kalki 2 during the filming of the first part. The pre-production for the second part is in progress. ## The filmmaker also confirmed that Deepika Padukone will continue to play the role of mother in the second part as well. The film's story basically revolves around Deepika, a pregnant lab subject of Project K and the prophesied mother of Kalki who is the tenth and final incarnation of the lord Vishnu. ## Meanwhile, the makers are planning the international rollout of Kalki 2898 AD in some of the remaining key markets. The movie has already been confirmed to be released in Japan on January 3, 2025, while talks are on for other country releases.## Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world in the year 2898 AD and follows a select group who are on a mission to save lab subject SUM-80's unborn child, Kalki. Mumbai, November 23 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's two cult classics, romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho and reincarnation action drama Karan Arjun which also has superstar Salman Khan, got re-released recently but there seems to be not much interest for the letter. ## Karan Arjun (1995), directed by Rakesh Roshan, got one of the widest re-releases for a Bollywood movie, however, the anticipation seems isn't that much the makers hoped for as it is not getting much audience in theatres. ## The film grossed approximately 30 lakh on its opening day which is, even though among the top openings for a Bollywood re-release, is nowhere near the expected start considering the wide release. It is not showing much improvement on Saturday with collection expected to be in the same range as Friday. ## Meanwhile, Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), which was re-launched on November 15, looks like will be winning the re-release race against Karan Arjun despite a much smaller release. After grossing approximately 2.40 crores in the first week, the film started the second weekend with around 20 lakh gross collection on the second Friday (8th day). ## The Nikkhil Advani's directorial has taken a lead over Karan Arjun on Saturday as it is expected to gross over 50 lakh. The second weekend of KHNH could be 1.25+ crores gross wherein Karan Arjun might end up with around 1 crore gross opening weekend despite having more than 4X showcasing daily. ## Both the aforementioned films were big hits in their original run but it is KHNH which continues to attract the moviegoers ever after two decades. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, November 23 - With franchises making waves at the Bollywood box office, more and more standalone films are getting sequels and the latest to join this trend is 2012's romantic comedy Cocktail which was headlined by Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. ## Directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Maddock Films with others, Cocktail was a box office hit with over 120 crores gross collection worldwide. Now, more than a decade later when franchises are succeeding at the box office, Maddock Films has put Cocktail 2 in the making. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Dinesh Vijan has been working idea of the sequel with director Homi Adajania and they've now crafted a storyline that they believe matches the magic of the first film. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is in talks to headline the project. ## Shahid has not yet signed on the dotted line but has reportedly verbally committed to this film, which would mark his second collaboration with Maddock following this year's robotic romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The report further states that the talks are on with young actresses to come on board. ## The film is expected to start rolling by the middle of 2025 after Shahid completes Vishal Bhardwaj's action thriller which goes on the floor this December. Mumbai, November 23 - The sequel to Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal's comedy entertainer Bhagam Bhag has officially been confirmed after the news first broke out recently. The OG trio will return to headline the second instalment. ## It was reported that rights for the sequel were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who has also been simultaneously working on the film's script. It will be co-produced by Shemaroo. ## The producer stated that Bhagam Bhag 2 will be funnier and madder than before and added, "A special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge".
