Mumbai, October 19 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar teamed up with producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films for the first time for an aerial action thriller Sky Force. The movie was supposed to be released in October during Gandhi Jayanti weekend but was pushed back. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Maddock Films and the team have now locked the Republic Day weekend 2025 release for Sky Force. It is directed by Sandeep Kewlani, and Abhishek Anil Kapur and also stars Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur in prominent roles. ## Sky Force is set against the backdrop of India's first-ever air strike on Pakistan. It is said to be a perfect fit for a Republic Day weekend release due to its patriotic flavour and is high on action, drama, emotions, and thrills to keep the audience excited. ## The VFX of Sky Force is done by the National and Oscar Award-winning company - DNEG. It has breathtaking aerial visuals. The report further says that the movie has shaped very well and Maddock is confident it will hit the bull's eye just like its previous few films. ## Sky Force may not be a solo release, as reports say that Sunny Deol's action drama Jatt, directed by Gopichand Malineni, is also eyeing the same slot for its release. Mumbai, October 18 - Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures high-awaited Venom: The Last Dance is set to hit the Indian theatres a day earlier than its domestic release. It is directed by Kelly Marcel and is the last film in the Venom franchise. ## Starring Tom Hardy in the title role, Venom 3 has been confirmed to be released on October 24 in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. The pre-sales for the same opened on October 18, almost a week before its big screen debut. ## Venom: The Last Dance is a sequel to Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), and the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). In the movie, set after the events of Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), Eddie Brock and the symbiote Venom go on the run when they are hunted by both of their worlds.## Marvel movies have historically done well at the Indian box office. Mumbai, October 18 - After the historic blockbuster success of Gadar 2, Bollywood star Sunny Deol teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for the first time for an action drama film, tentatively titled Jatt while simultaneously doing Rajkumar Santoshi's period action drama Lahore 1947. ## It was reported that Lahore 1947 would be Sunny's next release after Gadar 2 during the Republic Day 2025 weekend, however, the latest reports suggest it has been pushed back and the slot has now reportedly been taken by Jatt which is nearing its compilation.## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the makers are eyeing the Republic Day 2025 weekend release of Jatt and the official announcement is expected to be made soon. It is said that Mythri Movie Makers and the team are considering the date a perfect release for this action-packed entertainer. ## "Jatt is a big-budget action entertainer with a strong emotional core and has a patriotic flavour – a genre that Sunny has excelled at in his career. Mumbai, October 18 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's yet-untitled biographical drama film about lawyer C. Sankaran Nair is set to release on Holi 2025. The movie also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in prominent roles. ## Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the movie will be released on March 14, 2025. It is produced by Dharma Productions in association with Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Company. The movie is inspired by real-life events and adapted from the book "The Case That Shook The Empire" written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. ## C. Hyderabad, October 17 - Director Prasanth Varma created a sensation earlier this year with his superhero movie Hanuman which emerged as a surprise big blockbuster at the box office, grossing close to 300 crores worldwide. The movie, which kicked off Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, was headlined by Teja Sajja. ## After the mega success of Hanuman, the makers officially confirmed its sequel Jai Hanuman and the pre-production on the same started recently. Mumbai, October 17 - Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited biographical drama Emergency has finally received the censor certificate after a long delay, the national award-winning actress confirmed the same on X. ## "We are glad to announce we have received the censor certificate for our movie Emergency, we will be announcing the release date soon. Los Angeles, October 17 - The post-credit scene of the second Venom movie teased a potential Spider-Man and Venom crossover in future Venom films. Since Venom: The Last Dance has been confirmed to be the last movie in the franchise, the chatter regarding the crossover has picked up. ## Since Venom belongs to the Spider-Man Universe, there have been rumours that Marvel Studios was planning to include Tom Holland's cameo in Venom 3 as it is the last film of this anti-superhero franchise. ## Amid the strong speculations, Venom star Tom Hardy has broken his silence and might have possibly confirmed the Spider-Man appearance. At an event for Venom: The Last Dance in Mexico (via The Direct), Hardy said that "there are always possibilities" when asked about the rumoured appearance. ## "Will we ever meet Spider-Man?... You know... See, there are always possibilities. Mumbai, October 17 - Varun Dhawan's much-anticipated action drama Baby John teaser is getting ready to launch this Diwali before its December 25 release during the Christmas weekend. The film marks Tamil filmmaker Atlee's maiden Bollywood production which is directed by Kalees.## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Atlee and Varun Dhawan are set to unveil the teaser of Baby John on Diwali, November 1st. The promo will also be attached with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn's highly-awaited Singham Again which is scheduled to be released on the same day.## It is said that the makers have cut a massy, action-packed 1-minute and 30-second teaser. Chennai, October 16 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Vettaiyan has entered the 200 crores club at the worldwide box office in just 6 days, becoming the second Tamil movie of 2024 to achieve the feat after Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest of All Time.## After the good extended first weekend with 189 crores worldwide gross, Vettaiyan, however, has dropped heavily in the first 2 working days. On Monday, the collection dropped by around 75% followed by another around 25% drop on Tuesday for approximately 14 crores worldwide gross in 2 days. ## The total worldwide collection of the film after 6 days stands at approximately 203 crores gross, including 134 crores in India and 69 crores overseas. The domestic collection of 134 crores includes 81 crores in the home state, Tamil Nadu as it is marching towards 100 crores gross in the state. ## It is the 7th movie of Rajinikanth to top 200 crores worldwide gross, after 2.0, Jailer, Enthiran, Kabali, Petta, and Darbar. After the Covid-19 pandemic, Vettaiyan is the second film of the superstar to enter this box office club after Jailer.## Despite the good first weekend, the overall collection of Vettaiyan is underwhelming due to the weak trend during the weekdays.
