Los Angeles, September 12 - Warner Bros. Pictures' sequel to the 2019 psychological thriller Joker is hitting theatres this October and it seems the hype is fading away after the recent screening where the movie received average reviews. ## As for the box office, the Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga-led Joker: Folie à Deux is tracking to open less than its predecessor at the domestic box office. According to Deadline, the blockbuster sequel is projected to open with $70 million - $80 million in its domestic (North America) opening weekend. ## If Joker 2 opens to the projected lines, it would be $26 million less than Joker which scored $96.2 million in the domestic weekend, as per Box Office Mojo. A couple of weeks ago, the movie was projected to open with $100+ million, which is now looking difficult, per the latest projection. ## Joker 2 currently has a 62% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, which, interestingly, is similar to the original movie after its Venice and TIFF premiere. So there is a possibility the sequel might follow the same path at the box office as well, but as of now, it looks a far cry. ## Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker was a monster hit for Warner Bros. with $1.08 billion at the worldwide box office, including $335.5 million domestically. The studio is hoping for a similar turnaround with the sequel as well. ## Set two years after the events of Joker (2019), Arthur Fleck, now a patient at Arkham State Hospital, falls in love with fellow inmate Lee. The film is directed by Atlee and also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Deepika Padukone, among others. ## Jawan was announced for November 29, 2024, release in Japan, and now, Shah Rukh Khan has re-confirmed the same on social media with the official poster for the Japanese audiences. Mumbai, September 12 - After the blockbuster success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, actor Kartik Aaryan and director Anees Bazmee reunited for the third instalment of this horror-comedy franchise. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is produced by T-Series in association with Cine1 Studios. ## The film was announced for Diwali 2024 release which sets up its clash with Ajay Devgn-fronted Singham Again. The makers have now announced the exact date of the film's arrival. ## During the trailer launch event of Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video on September 12, producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will be released on November 1st, on the day of Diwali/Laxmi Puja.## The team is gearing up to launch the teaser/trailer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 soon to kickstart the promotion. Hyderabad, September 12 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's much-awaited action drama film Devara: Part 1 is set to be another lengthy film with a theatrical runtime of close to 3 hours. The movie is directed by Koratala Siva and also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in prominent roles. ## As the movie is gearing up for its grand release on September 27, the makers have completed the censor process more than two weeks before its big screen debut. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has passed the film with the 'U/A' certificate with an approved runtime of 178 minutes (2 hours and 58 minutes). ## It is said that the CBFC had asked makers to make some changes which led to 4 modifications, including 3 changes related to the violent scenes in the film. After the changes were made, the certificate was given to the makers for the September 27 release. ## Devara marks Jr. NTR's second film in a row to clock the theatrical runtime of nearly 3 hours. The actor's last film, RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and co-starring Ram Charan, clocked a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 2 minutes. ## Devara is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Mumbai, September 12 - The fifth instalment of the blockbuster Housefull franchise is one of the most-awaited and biggest Bollywood films in the making. Akshay Kumar returns to headline this comic caper for the fifth time in a row and the movie is gearing up to commence filming on September 15 in London. ## As the movie is about to commence the shoot, the makers have locked the entire star cast which features over a dozen actors involving male and female leads. As reported earlier, the male cast of the film, led by Akshay, includes Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, and Dinoo Morea among others. ## Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and the team have locked in 5 female leads to complete the ensemble. It is said that Housefull 5 will star Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, and Soundarya Sharma as the female leads. ## Most of the cast of Housefull 5 has been part of the franchise at some point in time with a couple of new faces who are expected to bring a laughter riot on the big screen. This is the biggest ensemble cast pulled off by the makers in the Indian cinema and the report states that every character is a part of the film for a reason. Mumbai, September 12 - One of the most trending songs of 2023, Jhoome Jo Pathaan from last year's mega-blockbuster film Pathaan has completed a billion views on YouTube, becoming the second song of a Shah Rukh Khan film to achieve the milestone. ## Sung by Arijit Singh, Sukriti Kakar, Vishal and Sheykhar who also composed it from the lyrics by Kumaar, Jhoome Jo Pathaan was premiered on 22 December 2022 on Yash Raj Films' YouTube channel. It became an instant chartbuster across social media and music platforms. ## The song featured superstar Shah Rukh Khan with Deepika Padukone, and Bosco-Caesar choreographed it. Mumbai, September 11 - Sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, is one of the biggest hits of the year in the Hindi language. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie scored approximately 294 crores net collection in the dubbed version and is currently the second biggest of 2024. ## Kalki 2898 AD was sold to Netflix for the post-theatrical streaming of the Hindi version at a handsome price. Given the fantastic box office performance, it was expected to be a big success for the streamer, however, the response so far has been underwhelming as far as the Hindi version is concerned. ## The movie debuted on Netflix with a promising viewership of 4.5 million views in the opening weekend. However, due to mixed reception on OTT, the viewership dipped in the second week to 2.6 million views and in the third week, it was down to just 900K views which is lower than the third-week viewership of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1.6 million) which was a box office disaster.## The total views of the Kalki Hindi version on Netflix are 8 million after 17 days and it will probably be out of the top 10 chart by the next week, keeping it under 10 million views which is poor viewership for a movie that was reportedly sold for a whopping 175 crores in the dubbed version. ## The viewership of Kalki 2898 AD on Netflix is one of the lowest for a major blockbuster since the platform introduced the Top 10 chart.## Produced by C.
