Hyderabad, July 21 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's political action thriller Game Changer with director S. Shankar has finally locked its release date after being in production for nearly 3 years. It is the actor's first film since the epic blockbuster RRR in March 2022.## Producer Dil Raju, during the Telugu pre-release event of Dhanush's Raayan, delighted the fans by announcing the Game Changer will be hitting the big screen on Christmas 2024, however, the exact date is not yet revealed.## The Christmas 2024 weekend already has a couple of big movies in the lineup in the form of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's Sitare Zameen Par and Hollywood biggie, Mufasa: The Lion King along with Varun Dhawan's Baby John and Nithiin's Robinhood. ## Game Changer has been in production since October 2021 but due to director Shankar's other commitments, the shoot of the movie was delayed on many occasions before it finally concluded in July this year. Hyderabad, July 21 - 7 years after scripting box office history with Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion, Pan India superstar Prabhas has done it again as his Kalki 2898 AD has become the 7th Indian movie and the second for the actor to enter the 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office. ## The sci-fi epic, directed by Nag Ashwin, has done what it was expected to achieve before its release on June 27. It took just 25 days for Kalki to breach the milestone of 1000 crores worldwide gross, making it the 3rd Telugu-origin title and 4th South Indian film to do so. ## Kalki 2898 AD scored an estimated 990 crores gross globally in the first 24 days and on its 4th Sunday (25th day), the movie added another estimated 12 crores gross, taking its worldwide cume to over the magical figure of the thousand crores gross. ## Including the 5th Sunday collection, the epic blockbuster has minted an estimated 733 crores gross in India and 270 crores overseas. Mumbai, July 21 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has become the third highest-grossing South Indian movie at the Hindi box office after beating SS Rajamouli's action drama RRR on its 25th day. ## The Prabhas-fronted blockbuster scored approximately 4.85 crores net collection on its 4th Sunday which took its total cume to approximately 276 crores net in 25 days to become the third biggest South Indian movie in the dubbed version.## SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 remains the top South Indian grosser in Hindi with approximately 511 crores net, followed by Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 with 435 crores approx. Kalki 2898 AD is only the third South Indian movie to enter the 200 crores net club in Hindi.## Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki has had an excellent run in the dubbed Hindi version which is heading towards finishing around 300 crores. Hyderabad, July 21 - Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's action comedy-drama Mr Bachchan has been confirmed to release on August 15, Independence Day. The movie is directed by Harish Shankar and also stars Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.## Produced by People Media Factory, Mr Bachchan will clash at the box office with Ram Pothineni's Double iSmart, directed by Puri Jagannadh. In addition, several other films are releasing on the same day in Telugu, including 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu, Thangalaan (Telugu dub), and Aay.## Mr Bachchan will have a special premiere on August 14, which is probably the first time of major Telugu movie in recent tiles which shows the the confidence makers have in the movie. Mumbai, July 21 - The hugely-anticipated comedy entertainer Son of Sardaar 2, starring Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, has commenced filming on July 20 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The movie is being directed by Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn in association with Jio Studios.## It was recently reported that actress Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the original movie. Sanjay Dutt also joins the returning cast from the first movie with Pankaj Tripathi and Kubbra Sait reportedly joining the cast as new members. ## SOS2 is the sequel to 2012's Son of Sardaar which itself was a remake of the 2010 Telugu film Maryada Ramanna, directed by SS Rajamouli. SOS was a big box-office success with a worldwide gross collection of 150 crores as one of the 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year.## According to the reports, it is not yet clear whether Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt will reprise their roles as Jassi and Balwinder Singh Sandhu aka Billu as the story of SOS2 is said to be fresh and doesn't pick up where the original ended.## The movie will be released in 2025.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, July 20 - After taking the career-best start for Vicky Kaushal with 8.30 crores net, comedy-drama Bad Newz is seeing a jump of around 20% on its second day with collection around to the double-digit score. ## On its first Saturday, the Anand Tiwari's directorial venture scored an estimated 9.75-10.25 crores net collection, taking the total to around 18+ crores in two days. The 3-day opening weekend is expected to be around 30 crores net which is a fantastic result for the movie. ## The film's biz is being driven by Delhi NCR while other areas are performing decently. Bad Newz is more of an urban so the mass centres are on the lower side which is expected. The opening weekend is looking in a much better position than 2-3 weeks back but it will eventually come down to Monday to see where the movie will go. ## The word of mouth for the film is on the positive side so one can expect Bad Newz to hold well on Monday and going forward. Los Angeles, July 20 - Universal Pictures' Twisters, starring Glen Powell, is set to overcome the industry projection to score the record opening for a natural disaster film at the domestic (North American) box office. ## The movie, directed by Lee Isaac Chung, scored an estimated $80.50 million (675 crores) in the opening weekend, the third biggest of the year. With this, it has become the top opening domestically for a natural disaster film, beating the 2004 movie The Day After Tomorrow's $66.70 million (not adjusted for inflation). ## Twisters was projected to take the domestic opening of around $50 million. It is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister which bowed to $41 million 3-day domestic opening weekend. The sequel has scored almost 2X the opening of its predecessor. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twisters is playing evenly among females and males, as well as appealing to both younger and older adults in what could lead to a new franchise. Hyderabad, July 20 - Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for an ambitious socio-fantasy action entertainer Vishwambhara which is being directed by Bimbisara fame Mallidi Vashishta. It marks the duo's maiden collaboration which is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of 2025. ## Produced by UV Creations, Vishwambhara is scheduled to be released on January 10, 2025, during the Sankranthi festival weekend. With under 6 months left for the release, the makers are gearing up to release the first asset of the movie on Chiranjeevi's birthday on August 22. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, a first-look glimpse teaser of Vishwambhara will be released on August 22 on the megastar's 69th birthday. Mumbai, July 20 - The Independence Day 2024 weekend is shaping up to be the most important weekend for the filmmakers who are busy blocking the slot for their respective films. There are nearly a dozen films already lined up to release on August 15 and some of them are potential big-money spinners.## The Hindi box office can see one of the biggest weekends of the year starting on Independence Day. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy Stree 2 is easily the most anticipated movie to release during the period, however, it won't have a smooth ride at the box office as there 5 other major films ready to compete with it. ## The biggest competitor of Stree 2 will be Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein, which also stars Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, and Pragya Jaiswal, among others. Though Akshay's last few films haven't worked at the box office, Khel Khel Mein can spring a major surprise. ## John Abraham's action drama Vedaa another Bollywood film scheduled to be released on August 15. Even though Vedaa is not as hyped as the other two Bollywood films, its genre can attract the masses during the holiday period, if it manages to get a positive reception. ## Apart from the aforementioned Bollywood films, there are two South Indian movies, Vikram's period action drama Thangalaan and Ram Pothineni's action thriller Double iSmart, which have also confirmed August 15 release and will be trying their luck at the Hindi box office. ## The buzz for the two South Indian movies is not something which is gonna scare the Bollywood titles, the presence of Sanjay Dutt in Double iSmart, will surely attract the Hindi audience to some capacity along with Thangalaan which features a richly talented star cast with acclaimed director Pa. Ranjith.## Apart from the Indian films, there is 20th Century Studios' science fiction horror film, Alien: Romulus is slated to hit the Indian cinemas this Independence Day. It is the seventh instalment in the Alien franchise and serves as a standalone interquel set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). Mumbai, July 20 - Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who was last seen in Dharma Productions' Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in July 2023, is teaming up with URI director Aditya Dhar for his next film, set against the backdrop of Indian Intelligence Agencies. It marks the duo's first collaboration.## Recently, it was revealed that Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna had joined Ranveer to play key roles. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, Aditya Dhar and his team are gearing up to kickstart the filming on July 25. ## The first schedule of the yet-untitled film will take place in Thailand, where most of the intel network interacts with each other. This will be followed by the next schedules in India and UAE. Mumbai, July 20 - The third season of Amazon Prime Video's rural comedy-drama Panchayat emerged as the most-watched Hindi show in the first half of 2024, beating big-budgeted shows like Heeramandi, and Indian Police Force.## According to Ormax Media, Panchyat Season 3 has generated 28.20 million views, becoming the most-watched Hindi language web series across streaming platforms in the first six months of 2024. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix show, Heeramandi and Rohit Shetty's Prime Video series, Indian Police Force, were the next two most-watched titles with 20.30 million and 19.50 million views, respectively. ## Disney Plus Hotstar, however, ruled the list of the top 10 most-watched Hindi shows in the first half of the year with five titles, which include The Legend of Hanuman (14.8 million), Showtime (12.5 million), Karma Calling (9.1 million), Baahubali: Crown of Blood (8 million), and Lootere (8 million).## Ormax Media estimates viewership using primary research conducted among audiences across India on a weekly basis.
