Mumbai, July 19 - It's good news for the industry as director Anand Tiwari's comedy-drama Bad Newz has taken a good start at the domestic box office, surpassing expectations to score one of the biggest openings for a Vicky Kaushal-starrer. ## Also starring Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk, Bad Newz has come as a breeze of the fresh air for Bollywood which has struggled to take a good start for most of the film. As per the early estimates, Bad Newz has scored in the range of 8.50-9 crores net collection which would be the 5th biggest opening of the year for a Bollywood title. ## Bad Newz scored good pre-sales which indicated the opening in the range of 9 crores net and the positive word of mouth ensured the walk-ups also remained strong to help the movie start on the projected lines. Mumbai, July 19 - Ahead of its global opening next weekend, Marvel Studios has unveiled the final trailer of the highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles. ## Directed by Shawn Levy, the third Deadpool instalment unveiled the full look at Lady Deadpool who is rumoured to be played by Taylor Swift or Blake Lively or someone else that only Marvel knows till the movie finally hits the big screens on July 26. ## The hype shooter trailer also confirmed the appearance of Dafne Keen, who memorably played the child mutant X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman in 2017's Logan, which was supposed to be Jackman's final outing as his iconic X-Men character, until he agreed to play Wolverine once again in the Deadpool 3 which is now Deadpool & Wolverine. ## Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Mumbai, July 19 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor's action thriller Deva has been postponed to Valentine's Day 2025. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Roshhan Andrrews in his Hindi debut, the movie has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. ## Deva was supposed to be released on October 11 this year but due to the packed schedule, it has now been postponed to February 14, 2025. Among the biggest third weeks in Hindi for all movies, Kalki is in the 14th spot and when it comes to South Indian movies, it has the 4th biggest third week in the dubbed version.## SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion remains the biggest third-week grosser (for all movies) in Hindi with approximately 70 crores net. Mumbai, July 18 - The Hindi box office may have another surprise winner this weekend in Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles. The movie is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Leo Media Collective. ## The film's advance booking opened a couple of days ago and unlike its title, the booking trend has been good news for the industry and the makers in particular. In comparison to previous movies, the pre-sales of Bad Newz are much better than most of them and it even topped Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon's Crew after the superb jump in the last hours. ## Crew although opened to 9.25 crores net is still one of the biggest openers of the year and Bad Newz will look to come close to these numbers. Depending on how the spot booking fares, Bad Newz, which is expected to be released on over 2000 screens, should open in the range of 9 crores (+/-) net collection while a double-digit start also can not be ruled out (optimistic). ## As can be guessed in the pre-sales, the buzz for Bad Newz has been good thanks to the trailer which was well received and the songs which have set the tone. Hyderabad, July 18 - Vyjayanthi Movies' epic sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is marching towards 1000 crores club at the worldwide box office and before reaching the milestone, it has created a new milestone of selling the highest number of tickets on Book My Show. ## The Prabhas-fronted tentpole has so far sold around 12.50 million (1.25 crores) tickets for all days, which is the highest for any movie since the platform started updating hourly trends on its app. It has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which sold approximately 1.24 crores of tickets on BMS. ## Including Book My Show sold tickets, Nag Ashwin's directorial movie has sold an estimated 3.30 crores (33 million) tickets in 21 days so far. It has grossed an estimated 708 crores (596 crores net) at the domestic box office so far and is heading towards finishing around 750 crores gross final. ## Kalki 2898 AD is the fifth highest-grossing film in India and the 7th highest-grossing Indian title at the worldwide box office with 970+ crores gross so far.
