Los Angeles, June 14 - Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine is about to storm the box office and bring the studio back to old glory as the early box office projection of the third Deadpool movie revealed a monstrous start. ## According to Deadline, which quoted The Quorum's projection, Deadpool 3 is looking to open $200 million - $239 million at the domestic (North America) opening weekend. The tracking service is projecting these figures as conservative. ## Deadpool 3 is the first ever R-rated movie to be released by Disney. As said, there has never been an R-rated movie to open over $200 million, so it would be a monumental achievement for the threequel if it manages to do that. ## The current record for an R-rated opening at the North American box office is owned by the original Deadpool which scored $132.4 million in February 2016. As reported recently, the pre-sales of Deadpool 3 broke the first-day record of 2024 and probably has the highest so far for any movie of the year. ## Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Mumbai, June 14 - Kartik Aaryan-fronted biographical sports drama Chandu Champion has taken a slow start at the domestic box office as the movie couldn't generate much pre-release excitement among the moviegoers. ## The movie had low pre-sales which confirmed a low opening but there were hopes that things would improve with positive word-of-mouth which wasn't the case at least on the first day as early estimates suggest opening in around 4.50-5 crores net. The makers did try to lure the audience by keeping the ticket prices low for the first day only but it had less impact. ## The good thing for the movie is that the reception is seemingly positive among the general audiences so box office prospects may improve over the weekend which is a must. The movie will also enjoy the holiday on account of Bakrid on Monday. ## Chandu Champion will be aiming to score around 20 crores net 3-day opening weekend and around 25 crores extended weekend which will still be below expectations. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, June 14 - Actor Kartik Aaryan's biographical sports drama Chandu Champion has been released today and the critics are calling it the actor's finest film to date. Mumbai, June 14 - On the 27th anniversary of the epic war drama Border, filmmaker JP Dutta joined hands with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series to announce its sequel with Sunny Deol returning to reprise the role from the first movie.## Kersari fame Anurag Singh will direct Border 2 which begins filming by the end of this year or early 2025. There have been reports that the movie will be released on Republic Day 2026 and now, the makers have officially confirmed the same. ## It has been revealed that India's biggest war movie will be released on January 23 (Friday), 2026, during the Republic Day weekend. It will enjoy the 4-day extended weekend during which it will look to shatter box office records left, right, and centre. ## The makers haven't announced the rest of the cast but it is said that Ayushmann Khurrana will play one of the prominent roles. Mumbai, June 13 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy Munjya ends the opening week with a fantastic collection of over 35 crores net after the miraculous trend during the weekdays with almost no drop from Monday - Thursday. ## The Aditya Sarpotdar's directorial movie cleared the 35 crores mark after scoring an estimated 3.75-4 crores net on its first Thursday. Interestingly, or rather incredibly, the collection of Munjya remained in the range of the 4 crores mark which indicates a long run for the movie at the domestic box office. ## The opening week collection of Munjya is the 7th biggest first week total for a Bollywood movie of 2024. It is expected to remain strong in the second week despite the arrival of Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion and will aim to reach 50 crores mark by the second weekend itself. ## Munjya is the 4th movie in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe after Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya and is currently the third highest-grosser in the series. The movie has a good chance of beating Bhediya in the long run to become the second-biggest film in the series after Stree. ## Stay tuned...
