Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Alia Bhatt's highly-anticipated action thriller Jigra has been postponed to avert a clash with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie will now be released on October 11 in theatres worldwide. ## Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Jigra was originally announced to release on September 27 but has now been postponed by two weeks after Devara confirmed to hit the screens during Gandhi Jayanti week. ## Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with The Archies last year, will be making his big-screen debut with Jigra opposite Alia Bhatt who is also co-producing the movie under her banner Eternal Sunshine. Hyderabad, June 13 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1 has officially confirmed to hit screens on September 27 after getting preponed from October 10, 2024. Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has confirmed the rumours about the postponement of the highly-anticipated action drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor said that the shoot of the movie is still pending and the team is not eyeing the already announced date. ## Ajay Devgn was speaking at the trailer launch event of his upcoming romantic thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is scheduled to release on July 5. When asked about the status of Singham 3, the actor said that he doesn't think the movie will be ready by August 15. ## "I am not sure (about the release date). The work on the film, which kicked off earlier, has not been completed yet and a few portions of the shoot are pending as well. We do not want to release the film in a hurry because that often ruins it. So when it is read, we will release it then", the actor said. ## Even though the makers haven't made the official announcement of Singham 3 postponement, the news was almost confirmed with other movies occupying the Independence Day weekend date. John Abraham's Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein have been confirmed to hit screens on August 15, and with this, Allu Arjun's most-awaited Pan India movie, Pushpa 2, which was supposed to release on the same day, has also been postponed as the shoot is pending. ## Singham Again is the 5th movie in director Rohit Shetty's cop universe and the third film in the Singham franchise. Los Angeles, June 13 - The advance booking of superstar Prabhas-led Kalki 2898 AD is on fire in North America with two weeks for the release. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki is aiming to score the biggest opening for an Indian movie there. ## The pre-sales of the sci-fi epic have crossed $1 million in North America for the premiere which is slated on June 26. Mumbai, June 13 - Filmmaker J. P. Dutta has joined hands with producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series to announce the sequel to War epic Border. The movie was announced on the 27th anniversary of the first movie which is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever. ## Sunny Deol, who scored a mega-blockbuster with Gadar 2 last year, will be returning to reprise his role as Maj. Hyderabad, June 12 - Telugu superstar turned politician, Pawan Kalyan scored a historic win as Jana Sena party chief in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections where his party was in the NDA alliance which secured the win on 164 out of 175 seats.## On Wednesday (June 12), Pawan Kalyan took oath as one of Andhra Pradesh's cabinet ministers as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu will hold the Chief Ministerial post. As per reports, Pawan Kalyan will be the deputy chief minister of the state. ## Kalyan was elected from the Pithapuram assembly constituency in the East Godavari district while his party won 21 out of 21 seats in the Assembly elections along with both seats it contested for Lok Sabha elections with a 100% strike rate. ## Pawan Kalyan founded a political party named Jana Sena Party on 14 March 2014 and he finally broke through the state's assembly a decade later as one of the most powerful leaders of the Andhra politics. ## Meanwhile, apart from politics, PK is also active in cinema as he has multiple films in the pipeline.
