Chandigarh, June 6 - Actress turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) woman constable at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday, according to a report by NDTV. ## Kangana Ranaut was elected as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh on the Bhartiya Janata Party ticket. The actress was about to board a flight to Delhi from Chandigarh airport when the incident happened at around 3 PM today. ## It is alleged that Kangana was moving towards the boarding area at the airport to travel to Delhi when the CISF official, Kulwinder Kaur, allegedly argued with her and slapped her. The constable has been identified as Kulwinder Kaur. The CISF Commandant has taken note of the incident and is questioning the constable, per NDTV. ## Kangana won the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh when the results were declared on June 4. Hyderabad, June 6 - Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has been confirmed to release in the IMAX North America and the UK. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. ## Kalki 2898 AD will be distributed by Prathyangira Cinemas in the USA and Canada. The studio confirmed that the movie will be released in IMAX format across the USA (Telugu version) and Canada (Hindi version) for premieres and one show on Day 1. ## The movie has also been confirmed to be released in India and worldwide on IMAX as the official confirmation regarding the same was made on June 11 by IMAX. It will also be released in 3D, apart from 2D format. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film's music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Mumbai, June 6 - Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan's biographical sports drama Chandu Champion will have a special screening for the Army in Delhi today. The screening will be held for high-ranking army officers and dignitaries will also felicitate Murlikant Petkar, on whom the film is made. ## The screening, spearheaded by producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Kabir Khan, will witness the presence of distinguished Army dignitaries, including the Chief of India, who will join in felicitating and celebrating the achievements of Murlikant Petkar.## Chandu Champion is a prestigious project for Kartik Aaryan who plays the role of India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, who faced one adversary after another with an undying spirit. Mumbai, June 6 - A sequel to Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo is reportedly in the early development at Dharma Productions with Raj Mehta is expected to return as the director. ## According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, after teasing a sequel for a long time, Karan Johar and Raj Mehta are officially working on JugJugg Jeeyo, however, the report suggests the makers may change the title and it is more likely to be a spiritual sequel. ## It is said that Raj Mehta has begun writing the sequel with his team of writers and is looking to take it in on floors by the end of this year or early 2025. No cast has been attached to the sequel yet, but Varun is expected to return to headline it. ## Released in June 2022, Jug Jug Jeeyo starred Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor as two couples of different generations on the verge of divorce. Mumbai, June 6 - The shooting of Ajay Devgn-fronted Raid 2 has reportedly been completed and it has now entered the post-production stage. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the movie also stars Vaani Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in prominent roles and is gearing up for release soon. ## Raid 2 is the sequel to 2018's hit crime thriller Raid which was based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. Ajay Devgn played the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik and has reprised in the sequel. ## The sequel is also reportedly based on real-life events of a businessman fooling the Income Tax Department for Rs. 100 crore. Kochi, June 5 - Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph's comedy-drama Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil becomes the 10th highest-grossing Malayalam film of all-time at the worldwide box office.## Directed by Vipin Das, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil has grossed approximately 85 crores in 21 days. In India, the movie has minted approximately 51.75 crores while the overseas collection is an estimated 33.25 crores so far, to become the 10th biggest Malayalam grosser ever. ## The movie has crossed RDX (82.75 crores) and will next beat Neru (85.60 crores) in the next couple of days and will be looking to top Bheeshma Parvam (88.20 crores) in the coming days to become the 8th biggest Mollywood title at the worldwide box office. ## In 2024, Malayalam cinema has been on the rise and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is one of the reasons for it. Mumbai, June 5 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon is turning out to be a big success on Netflix after emerging as one of the biggest box office successes of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, taking one of the best starts of the year for an Indian title. ## The movie's viewership shot up in the second week (May 27 - June 2) as it scored 8.9 million views. In 10 days so far, Crew has generated 14.3 million views and become the third most-watched Indian movie of the year on Netflix. By next week, it is expected to become the most-watched title by topping Laapataa Ladies.## Crew was the second most-watched non-English film worldwide on Netflix during the week of May 27 - June 2. Mumbai, June 4 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced his maiden Marathi movie back in 2022 when he was confirmed to play a cameo appearance in the historical drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. The actor was assigned to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.## Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Veer Daudle Saat was announced to release on Diwali 2023 but it was reported in September last year that the movie was postponed and since then, there have been no concrete updates about the same. ## Now, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film's shoot has been halted due to budget issues.
