Mumbai, June 4 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar announced his maiden Marathi movie back in 2022 when he was confirmed to play a cameo appearance in the historical drama Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat. The actor was assigned to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.## Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, Veer Daudle Saat was announced to release on Diwali 2023 but it was reported in September last year that the movie was postponed and since then, there have been no concrete updates about the same. ## Now, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film's shoot has been halted due to budget issues. It is said that the producer Vaseem Qureshi is facing budget problems. Around 50% of the shoot has been completed and the remaining shoot will resume once things are sorted out. ## Mahesh Manjrekar directs Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat which also stars his son Satya along with Pravin Tarde, Jay Dudhane, Hardik Joshi, Vishal Nikam, Utkarsh Shinde and Virat Madke. Mumbai, June 4 - Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal were blessed with a daughter on Monday, June 3. Varun Dhawan shared the news on social media to announce the birth of Baby Dhawan. ## Taking to Instagram, Varun Dhawan wrote, "Our baby girl is here 💞 Thank u for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby". Varun and Natasha tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2021. Mumbai, June 3 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi passes the Monday test with a decent hold with a drop of around 60% from Sunday collection of 5.50 crores net approx.## According to the early estimates, the sports romantic drama scored around 2-2.25 crores net collection on its first Monday/fourth day. The drop from the opening day is around 65% but the first day collection was boosted by cinema lovers day. In real value, the drop from Friday is around 40% which is decent hold. ## The positive word of mouth and the lack of major competition helped the movie to hold well and it now needs this momentum to continue throughout the week. The total collection of the movie after 4 days is approximately 19 crores net and the full week is looking to around 24 crores. ## There will be a horror comedy Munjya released on June 7 which is expected to pause some challenges to Mr and Mrs Mahi due to its connection with Maddock Films' horror comedy universe. Mumbai, June 3 - Tom Hardy is ready to wreak havoc one last time as Marvel anti-hero Venom in the third film of the franchise Venom: The Last Dance. The first trailer of the film was released on Monday to unleash hell. ## Venom 3 has been confirmed to be the last film in the franchise by Sony Pictures, something fans speculated at the time when the title of the movie was announced in 2023. It is the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU) and the sequel to Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). ## Directed by Kelly Marcel, the movie was officially confirmed at CinemaCon 2022. The first two movies, released in 2018 and 2021, were box office successes, grossing over $1.3 billion worldwide. Venom 3 is touted to be the best film in the franchise. ## Starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom, alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham, Venom 3 will be released on October 25, 2024. Kochi, June 3 - Actor Fahadh Faasil's action comedy Aavesham has completed its box office run with an excellent collection in India and worldwide despite missing a couple of milestones due to premature digital release.## Released on April 11, Aavesham scored the second-biggest opening week domestically for a Malayalam movie of 2024 with a collection of 35.45 crores gross, before showing an incredible hold in the second week for 29.10 crores, followed by another solid hold in the third with 21.70 crores gross. ## Aavesham was well on track to enter the 100 crores gross club in India but due to the early digital release after the 4th week, the collection dropped heavily in the following weeks which kept it under the 100 crores mark. Overall, the movie missed the 100 crore gross collection by just above 1 crore. ## Overseas, Jithu Madhavan's directorial has been one of the biggest hits with an estimated 56 crores gross collection, pushing the total worldwide to approximately 155 crores. Chennai, June 3 - After the big success of Aranmanai 4, the Tamil film industry has another movie doing well at the box office in the form of actor Soori's action thriller Garudan, directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar. ## Released on May 31st, Garudan had a very good opening weekend at the domestic box office with a gross collection of approximately 17 crores in 3 days. It scored the third biggest opening weekend for a Tamil movie of 2023, behind Captain Miller and Aranmanai 4. ## Garudan opened to a good collection of approximately 4 crores gross, before showing a jump of around 38% on its second day for approx. 5.60 crores gross, followed by another jump of 29% on Sunday for approx. 7.25 crores. The movie is expected to perform well in the coming days. ## The last few weeks have been good for the Tamil film industry with the success of Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli re-release and Aranmanai 4, otherwise, this has been a poor year for the industry. Mumbai, June 2 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr and Mrs Mahi has a good opening weekend at the domestic box office with a collection of around 17 crores net. ## The romantic sports drama witnessed a jump of around 20% on Sunday for an estimated 5.25-5.75 crores net collection, pushing the total collection to around 17 crores in the first 3-day weekend which is on the expected lines. ## Mr and Mrs Mahi got a cinema day boost on its opening day so the weekend collection is probably around 3 crores higher than what it could have been with the regular prices. The positive word of mouth also played its part as the movie held decently on Saturday before seeing a good jump on Sunday. ## The overall fate of the movie will be determined by how it performs during weekdays and for consistent collection, Mr and Mrs Mahi will need to hold well on Sunday with a collection of 2-2.50 crores net. Mumbai, June 2 - One of the biggest Tamil hits of 2022, romantic-comedy Love Today is getting its Hindi remake with Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the lead roles while Advait Chandan, who directed Secret Superstar (2017) and Lal Singh Chaddha (2022), is directing it. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, the Hindi remake of Love Today has been titled Loveyapa, named after a term that can be used to describe the combination of love and siyappa. Junaid and Khushi play a deeply-in-love young couple in this quirky love story. ## Produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, the shoot of Loveyapa reportedly commenced on May 27 and is currently being shot at Mira Road in Mumbai. The makers are looking to complete the outdoor shoot two weeks before the arrival of the monsoon, as per the report. ## Meanwhile, Junaid Khan is making his debut with YRF's Maharaj which is scheduled to release on Netflix on June 14. He also has Ek Din, a remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day in the pipeline. On the other hand, Khushi Kapoor made her debut with Netflix's Archies and reportedly finished shooting for her second movie Naadaniyaan. ## The original Love Today was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, who also played the male lead alongside Ivana. Mumbai, June 2 - American YouTuber James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, famously known as MrBeast, has outnumbered India's music and production company T-Series to become the most subscribed YouTube channel in the world. ## MrBeast now has over 267 million subscribers on YouTube, against T-Series' 266+ million. The Bhushan Kumar-led company became the most subscribed channel after surpassing PewDiePie in 2019. MrBeast has made significant gains over the last year to dethrone the T-Series. ## At the start of 2023, MrBeast vowed to become the number 1 YouTube channel. It looked like a far cry at that moment as it had only 123 million subscribers, but 1 and a half years later, MrBeast is the new king of YouTube. PewDiePie is currently the 8th most subscribed channel with 111 million subscribers. ## MrBeast and T-Series are the only 2 accounts with over 200 million subscribers on the video-sharing platform. Mumbai, June 1 - After a good opening, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's sports romantic drama Mr and Mrs Mahi sees a drop of around 30% on its second day which was with the regular prices. The opening day collection got a boost due to Cinema Lovers Day where ticket prices were Rs. 99/ticket. ## According to the early estimates, Mr and Mrs Mahi scored 4.50-4.75 crores net collection on its second day/first Saturday, showing a decent hold. The total collection is around 11.25+ crores net in 2 days with the first 3-day weekend heading today 17 crores net. ## The second-day collection of Mr and Mrs Mahi could have been its Friday collection or even lower without discounted prices so the hold is pretty good. A 20% jump on Sunday is expected and then, it is all about hold on Monday. ## A good hold on Monday might pave the way for the movie to reach 50 crores net mark which will be a good result for the film. Mumbai, June 1 - The Japanese epic kaiju film written, directed, and with visual effects by Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla Minus One has finally started streaming in India, after shockingly not getting a theatrical release. ## Hailed as the finest Godzilla movie, Godzilla Minus One was originally released in theatres last year, however, despite the huge demand, the makers couldn't find a way to release it in India despite attempting to release it via PVR Inox Pictures. ## While the big screen release of the film couldn't possible, Netflix has brought the movie to the Indian audience and it is now streaming in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil language. The early response is already pouring in and as expected, is highly positive. ## Godzilla Minus One, made on a budget of around $15 million, has been a huge box-office blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of over $115 million. It is the highest-grossing Japanese Godzilla movie and is touted as the best across all 37 movies in the franchise. ## The movie is set in postwar Japan and follows a former kamikaze pilot suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after encountering a giant monster known as "Godzilla".
