Hyderabad, April 28 - Maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's period action drama Baahubali 2 The Conclusion has completed 7 years since its release in 2017. It was a historical blockbuster which broke the language barrier and went to every corner of the country. ## Baahubali 2 gave birth to the Pan India term which has turned into a phenomenon and become a primary focus of the filmmakers. Mumbai, April 27 - Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures' Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has topped 100 crores net collection at the Indian box office, becoming the first Hollywood movie of 2024 and the first ever in the MonsterVerse to achieve the feat. ## The Adam Wingard's directorial blockbuster has grossed over 120 crores (100+ crores net) at the Indian box office in 29 days. In its 4th week, the movie grossed around 8 crores, dropping around 38% despite the arrival of the new Indian releases. ## India has been one of the biggest overseas markets for Godzilla x Kong. The movie was released on March 29 and scored 69+ crores gross collection in the first week. It held strongly in the second with to gross of approximately 29.50 crores (-57.60%), followed by 13 crores (-56%) in the third week. ## The sequel has performed well in the Southern Indian states, especially in Tamil Nadu. It is among the highest-grossing Hollywood films in the state. ## At the worldwide box office, Godzilla x Kong has crossed $500 million, including $175 million (1450+ crores) domestically (North America). Mumbai, April 27 - Over the last few weeks, there have been reports claiming that Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh would be doing a film with Telugu director Prasanth Varma whose previous film, Hanuman was a massive blockbuster at the box office.## Now, according to the latest media reports, the project has been confirmed and it will be Varma's immediate next after Jai Hanuman, a sequel to Hanuman. Mythri Movie Makers will be producing the film which will be a part of Varma's Cinematic Universe. Mumbai, April 27 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana is the biggest-ever Indian film in the making. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, among others in prominent characters.## Recently, some pictures from the sets of Ramayana were leaked online which excited the fans and now, the excitement has gone over the roof with the leaked pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in the roles of Ram and Sita. ## Zoom TV shared some of the pictures on social media. In the images, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi can be seen wearing the clothes of a prince and a princess. The leaked pictures give a glimpse into the almost care taken in presenting these divine characters in authentic manner possible. ## Ramayana is being made as a trilogy with the first part aiming to release on Diwali next year. Mumbai, April 27 - The month of April 2024 is turning out to be one of the poorest months for the Bollywood film industry as the new films are failing to take even initials. After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Maidaan, Do Aur Do Pyaar, and LSD 2, Aayush Sharma's Ruslaan joins the list of non-starters. ## Ruslaan was not going to open big as there was not much face value involved in it. The movie opened in the expected lines and scored approximately 55 lakh net collection. To everyone's surprise, Ruslaan managed to open similar to last week's Do Aur Do Pyaar (55 lakh) which had the face value in the form of Vidya Balan. ## The opening of Ruslaan is still poor and makers pinned their hopes on word of mouth to survive at the box office but that doesn't seem to be happening as initial reception is poor. Kochi, April 27 - After becoming only the third Malayalam movie to top 150 crores at the worldwide box office, Prithviraj Sukumaran's survival thriller Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life has now become the third film to cross 75 crores gross mark in Kerala state. ## Directed by Blessy, the blockbuster film has grossed approximately 75.50 crores in 30 days, making it the third movie ever to go past the 75 crores mark in Kerala. Tovino Thomas' 2018: Everyone is A Hero is the highest-grossing film in Kerala with approximately 89.50 crores, followed by Pulimurugan with 78.50 crores gross. SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is the 4th best with around 73 crores gross in the state.## Aadujeevitham is likely to finish with the third position in Kerala while in India, it is currently the 4th highest-grossing Malayalam film with around 95.75 crores gross after Manjummel Boys (164 crores), 2018 (111 crores), and Pulimurugan (100 crores). ## At the worldwide box office, Aadujeevitham is again the third highest-grossing Mollywood title behind only Manjummel Boys (237+ crores) and 2018 (180 crores). Hyderabad, April 27 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's legal drama Vakeel Saab is set to be re-released in theatres on May Day. The Venu Sriram's directorial was originally released in April 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. ## According to the latest Telugu media reports, Vakeel Saab will be hitting theatres on May 1st, Wednesday, to make some noise at the box office in the absence of new releases due to the general elections in which Pawan Kalyan himself contesting in one of the seats in Andhra Pradesh. ## Vakeel Saab is the remake of the 2016 Hindi-language film Pink and it also stars Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. Mumbai, April 27 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar teamed up with director Mudassar Aziz for a comedy entertainer Khel Khel Mein which marks the actor's return to this space after nearly 5 years. The movie is said to be a situational comedy revolving around the lives of 3 couples. ## The shoot of Khel Khel Mein has been wrapped up and now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have locked the September 6, 2024, release date for the same. Hyderabad, April 26 - The highly-awaited Pan India movie Kalki 2898 AD starring superstar Prabhas is set to get its official release date tomorrow, April 27, as confirmed by the makers. Ahead of the official announcement, the release date was reportedly revealed online. ## According to the latest media reports, it is said that the sci-fi epic will be debuting in worldwide theatres on June 27, in multiple languages. It was supposed to be released on May 9 but was postponed due to the general elections in the country. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD will be released two weeks after another big Pan India movie, Indian 2 starring Legendary Kamal Haasan. Mumbai, April 26 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's sports biopic Maidaan may have bombed at the box office but his supernatural thriller Shaitaan is still minting money and emerged as a box office super hit in India and worldwide. ## The Vikas Bahl's directorial was released on March 8 and has completed 7 weeks in theatres. Showing incredible legs, the movie scored around 1 crore net collection in its 7th week which pushed the total collection to around 146.75 crores (174.65 crores gross) in 49 days. ## Shaitaan is expected to finish around 148 crores net collection in India which makes it 6th biggest domestic grosser for Ajay Devgn while second best for R. Madhavan and biggest for Jyothika. Overseas, it has grossed around 37.50 crores for a worldwide total of 212+ crores. ## Shaitaan is the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year after Hrithik Roshan's Fighter (359 crores) at the worldwide box office. Chennai, April 26 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli re-release box office collection has crossed 20 crores gross worldwide in 7 days after the excellent Wednesday in India and overseas. ## On Thursday, the blockbuster film scored an estimated 1.25-1.40 crores gross in India, pushing the total collection to over 14.50 crores in 6 days. The movie opened in the United Kingdom with a sensational 55 lakh which pushed the overseas collection to around 5.25 crores gross. ## Ghilli, after 6 days of its re-release, has earned over 19.75 crores at the worldwide box office and has crossed the 20 crores gross mark with today's collection. The 55 lakh opening of the film in the UK is the biggest for any Tamil movie in 2024, beating Captain Miller (50 lakh). ## The movie has a competition with Vishal's Rathnam which has been released today.
