Kochi, April 24 - Fahahd Faasil's action comedy film Aavesham has topped 100 crores at the worldwide box office, becoming the 7th Malayalam movie of all time and 4th of 2024 to achieve the feat.## Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Aavesham topped 100 crores gross worldwide on its 13th day or early 14th day (subject to overseas collection) emerging as one of the fastest Mollywood titles to reach the milestone. It is also the first Malayalam film of Fahadh Faasil to gross 100 crores worldwide. ## The latest blockbuster has created a frenzy at the box office and the list of 100 crores Malayalam grossers of the year with Manjummel Boys, Premalu, and Aadujeetitham and the all-time list also includes, 2018, Pulimurugan, and Lucifer. ## Aavesham is far from over at the box office and will continue to set the box office ticking in the coming weeks. Mumbai, April 24 - Recently, it was reported that the release date of Varun Dhawan's much-awaited action drama film Baby John would be postponed from May 31st as the shoot was still going on. Now, the makers have officially confirmed the development on the occasion of Varun Dhawan's birthday today. ## On April 24, the makers unveiled a new poster featuring Varun Dhawan with no mention of the release date, confirming the postponement. As per the recent reports, the team is now eyeing to release the film in June/July this year. ## Baby John is directed by Tamil director Kalees and produced by Atlee's A For Apple Studios in association with Cine1 Studios and Jio Studios. The movie stars Varun Dhawan in the title role alongside Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi in the female lead roles. ## The movie is said to be the remake of Tamil movie Theri starring Thalapathy Vijay. Mumbai, April 24 - Zack Snyder's epic space opera film Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver was the number one movie worldwide on Netflix's top 10 chart, but it failed to match the opening weekend numbers of its predecessor Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire which was released in December last year. ## Released on April 19, Rebel Moon 2 scored 44.2 million viewing hours from 21.4 million views in its first 3-day weekend. It generated 10.5% lower viewership than the first movie which scored 54.1 million viewing hours from 23.9 million views in its opening weekend.## Just like the first part, the sequel also opened to terrible critics' reviews while audience reception was also not encouraging which restricted it to below the first movie. The first movie managed to stay in Netflix's top 10 viewership chart for 5 weeks (including April 15 - April 21, 2024) during which it scored 78.4 million full views. ## The film takes place on the moon of Veldt where Kora and the crew of warriors venture to help the farmers to defend and fight for their home against the Motherworld. Hyderabad, April 23 - Director Prasanth Varma's superhero film Hanuman has completed 100 days since its release on January 12, 2024. The film turned out to be one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters ever with a worldwide gross collection of around 300 crores. ## The makers confirmed the sequel Jai Hanuman in the climax of the first part and work on the same has already commenced. Mumbai, April 23 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a don in filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's blockbuster film franchise of the same name. While the actor has dropped himself out from the next film in the franchise, he will eventually play the role of a don again, however, in a different film this time. ## It is known to everyone that SRK is teaming up with director Sujoy Ghosh for an action thriller film titled King which marks the actor's daughter Suhana Khan's big screen debut. Now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, King Khan will be donning the grey shades again and play the role of the don. ## "Shah Rukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware of their urge to see him in shades of grey. Chennai, April 23 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama Ghilli is showing a strong trend at the box office after its re-release on April 20. The movie had the biggest opening for a re-release South Indian film at the domestic and worldwide box office before extraordinary hold on its second day which was Sunday. ## After grossing a solid approximately 8.50 crores in India in the first two days, Ghilli had another stronghold on working Monday as it scored in the range of 1.75-2 crores gross, surpassing the 10 crores mark domestically for 10.25-10.50 crores gross in just three days. ## The worldwide collection of the film is around 14 crores which is higher than the lifetime collection of recent re-releases. The absence of a notable release due to the election time is a major draw for the movie, added by the mega-stardom of Thalapathy Vijay. ## The absence of new releases is likely to keep Ghilli in theatres for some time. The best thing about Ghilli's re-release is that it hasn't died down like a one-day wonder just as the recent films and that should help it keep the box office ticking though it is not yet clear how long it will stay in theaters. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 22 - Marvel Studios has released the second trailer of its biggest release of the year, Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively. ## The new trailer gives a full-fledged look at Jackman's Wolverine, A mutant with healing abilities, retractable claws, and an adamantium-infused skeleton. Chennai, April 22 - Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time for his 171st film which has been titled Coolie. The action drama will be produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures. ## The highly-awaited film got its first-look title teaser on April 22. The teaser gives a glimpse into the world of gangsters, set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. It shows a group of gangsters in a warehouse of gold before Rajinikanth takes control of it by thrashing the goons. ## Coolie promises another mass entertainer from Lokesh Kanagaraj while Anirudh Ravichandar's BGM impresses as always. The shoot of the movie commences in June this year for a Pan India 2025 release in multiple languages. Mumbai, April 22 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan and Bhushan Kumar for the sequel to their hit rom-com De De Pyaar De which also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu in pivotal roles. The sequel will be directed by Anshul Sharma, replacing Akiv Ali who helmed the first film. ## De De Pyaar De 2 is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films in the making and now, according to a report by Pinkvilla, the makers have locked in veteran Anil Kapoor to play a key role. Chennai, April 22 - Thalapathy Vijay's sports action drama film Ghilli was re-released on April 20 worldwide and scored the biggest-ever opening for a South Indian movie upon the re-release with a gross collection of approximately 7.75 crores, including 4.75 crores in India. ## The opening of the film proved Vijay's mega pull at the box office which also provided some relief to the Tamil Nadu theatres which are having a dry spell this year. On its second day, the movie scored rock rock-solid hold at the Indian box office. ## Ghilli grossed around 3.75 crores in India on the second day, which is bigger than the opening day of most of the re-release films. The total domestic collection of the movie stands at around 8.50 crores gross in 2 days which is sensational. Worldwide, the movie has crossed the double-digit mark at around 12 crores gross. ## Ghilli is a remake of the Telugu-language 2003 film Okkadu which itself was a big hit at the box office.
