Mumbai, February 1 - Indian films have started well at the box office in 2024 as three of them are among the top 10 highest-grossing titles worldwide this year so far.## Director Prasanth Varma's superhero film Hanuman emerged as a huge blockbuster with a worldwide gross collection of around 265 crores in 20 days. In India, the movie has minted approximately 210 crores while the overseas collection is around 55 crores so far. ## Hanuman is the 5th highest-grossing film globally in 2024 in January, followed by Hrithik Roshan's Fighter. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action thriller was one of the most-awaited films, however, it has underperformed given its size and scale. ## In its first week (7 days), Fighter grossed approximately 241 crores worldwide, including 169 crores domestically and an estimated 72 crores at the overseas box office. It is the 7th highest-grossing film worldwide of 2024 so far. ## Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama Guntur Kaaram is another Indian film in the global top 10 in January 2024. The movie, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has grossed around 177 crores in 20 days, including 146 crores in India and approximately 31 crores overseas. Mumbai, February 1 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have worked together on six films in the past and all of them hold a special place in Indian cinema. The duo is now set to reunite and the fans are excited about this long-awaited collaboration. ## It was revealed in 2022 that Priyadarshan is working on a script to reunite with Akshay and now, the filmmaker has shared some major updates regarding the same. Contrary to the rumours, the film is not a sequel or remake though it is a horror comedy, different from Bhool Bhulaiyaa. ## "My film with Akshay is not a remake. It is an original idea. The script is not mine; it was given to me by Ekta Kapoor (producer). It is not Bhool Bhulaiyaa, but it will be a horror comedy, in the fantasy horror zone, as horror can never be real. We are going on floors in October (2024)", Priyadarshan said (via TOI). ## The filmmaker further revealed that he found the script offered by Ekta Kapoor very exciting. He also talked about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which was a sequel to his blockbuster film in 2007 with Akshay Kumar. Mumbai, February 1 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty's cop action drama series Indian Police Force which marks his digital debut, is the most-watched Indian web series on Amazon Prime Video in its first week of launch, the streamer said (via Variety). ## The series, created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, was released on January 19. While the viewership data were not revealed by the streamer, it trended in the Top 10 titles list in 65 countries in the first week. It is set in the Cop Universe and is produced by Shetty under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment.## Rohit Shetty added, "My fans have loved my cop films over the years, and it gives me immense joy to transport my craft of storytelling and action filmography to the world of streaming through ‘Indian Police Force'. Mumbai, February 1 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's Fighter has a decent opening week at the domestic box office. The movie did well in urban centres, however, it failed to repeat the same in mass areas despite positive reviews and word of mouth. ## Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, Fighter scored approximately 140.75 crores net collection in the first week (7 days). The movie was a Thursday release and it scored 118.50 crores net during the Republic Day weekend which was good. ## Fighter had a big drop of over 70% on Monday which raised doubts over the film's longevity at the box office, however, after that heavy drop, the movie is showing a better trend as it didn't drop drastically after that. Though the movie may struggle to score a big jump in the second weekend it is still in the race to top 200 crores net. ## The collection of 140.50 crores net makes Fighter the third biggest first-week grosser for a Hrithik Roshan-starrer after War and Krrish 3 (first 7 days). ## 1. During the January 31st episode of AEW Dynamite, "Hangman" Adam Page threw Swerve Strickland a curveball, selecting Rob Van Dam as his opponent in the "Dealer's Choice" match. ## To spice things up, Page also stipulated a Hardcore Match, setting the stage for a chaotic brawl. Although Van Dam initially controlled the tempo, Strickland ultimately emerged victorious.## A devastating "House Call" followed by his signature "Swerve Stomp" sealed the deal, leaving the veteran grappler pinned in the center of the ring. The post-match scene saw a tense exchange between Strickland and Page. ## However, the animosity quickly dissipated, replaced by mutual respect and a hunger for competition.
