RRR Makers Face Loss of Rs 18 Crore on Promotions After Covid Delays Release

Hyderabad, Jan 4, 2022: With the arrival of the omicron variant of COVID-19 in the country, it seems cinemas may have to close down once again. The recent development is not good news for the makers of the Telugu film RRR. ## Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn. The movie was scheduled to release on January 7, however, the surge in coronavirus cases across the country and the subsequent restrictions have compelled the makers to postpone the movie indefinitely. ## According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, nearly Rs 18 to 20 crores were invested for the promotions of Rajamouli’s much-awaited magnum opus. Hyderabad, Jan 3 (IANS) Actor Mohan Babu, who released a letter to convey his views on issues facing the Telugu film industry, has mentioned that the industry lacks 'unity'.## In the letter, the 'Pedarayudu' actor had indicated that Tollywood must come together to resolve the issues faced by the film fraternity.## "A small-budget movie cannot survive with Rs 300 ticket price. In the same way, a huge budget movie cannot survive with a Rs 30 price. Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa - The Rise' Flies Past Rs. 200 Crores India Net

Hyderabad, January 2 - Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise" becomes the first Indian film since Allu Arjun's own film "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" (2020) to reach Rs. 200 crores net. The Pan-India film, directed by Sukumar, earned Rs. 10.32 crores on its 16th day for all languages, for India total at Rs. 207.25 crores, including Rs. 128.27 crores in Telugu. ## Interestingly, the Hindi version (dubbed) of "Pushpa - The Rise" is performing way better than the original Telugu release at the box office. On the 3rd Saturday (16th day), the movie earned Rs. 3.58 crores Net in Telugu while the Hindi version scored the biggest day at the box office with 6.10 crores. The Hindi total of the film currently stands at a blockbuster Rs. 56.85 crores after 16 days. ## The other dubbed versions of "Pushpa - The Rise" are also going super strong. Hyderabad, December 30 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise", co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is turning out to be another successful affair at the box office for him. The action-thriller, directed by Sukumar, is nearing Rs. 200 crores net at the Indian box office, set to become the first Indian film in 2021 to achieve the feat.## "Pushpa - The Rise" marks Allu Arjun's maiden Pan-India film.
