Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja' Tops 10 Crore Gross After Good First Day At The China Box Office
Chennai, November 29 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has a $500K+ opening day as total collection crossed $1 million (including premieres) at the China box office. This is the first Indian movie in recent times to cross this particular milestone in China. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja minted approximately 5.40 crores gross ($635K or ¥4.6 million) in the premieres. It had a full-fledged release on November 29 and the film grossed $550K+ (4.65 crores gross) on its first day, according to the local box office website, ENT Group. ## The total collection of Maharaja is $1.18 million (10 crores gross). The advances for tomorrow (Saturday) are good which should lead to another good day. The movie also touched 100K admissions on the first day with total footfalls are around 220K so far. ## Including the China collection, Maharaja has crossed 116 crores gross worldwide and depending on how films perform in the coming day there, the movie has a chance to achieve new milestones.
