Ryan Reynolds Claims He Is Not In 'Doctor Strange 2' But The Marvel Fans Don't Believe Him

Mumbai, February 18 - Ever since the trailer of Marvel Studios' upcoming film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" has released, it has led to many speculations about the possible cameos in the film. It did happen when "Spider-Man: No Way Home" was in development and fans kept saying it would feature many past Spider-Man characters. ## One of the actors which were in question regarding his involvement in "No Way Home" was Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. The actor, however, kept denying his participation in the film, but he was unsurprisingly showed up in the movie. His job was to keep people from thinking he was in Spider-Man and he did exactly what he was asked to. Now, the same thing is happening with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds. ## There have been rumors about Reynolds' involvement in "Doctor Strange 2" as Deadpool. After the trailer was released, Marvel fans are claiming that they spotted Deadpool look in one of the clips of the trailer. Reynolds, however, tried to make things perfectly clear and not at all ambiguous when asked about the rumours. "I'm really not in the movie," he said to Variety. "I'm promising, I'm not in the movie". ## The actor may have claimed that he is not in the movie, the Marvel fans, however, are in no mood to believe him as they are almost sure he is definitely in this multiversal movie along with many other Marvel characters. Tom Holland's 'Uncharted' And Robert Pattinson-Starrer 'The Batman' Set Release Dates In China

Mumbai, February 17 - "Spider-Man: No Way Home" might not have set a release date in China yet, another Tom Holland-fronted movie is going to release in the biggest movie market in the world. ## Sony Pictures' "Uncharted", starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg has been dated for a March 14 release in China. The studio's Weibo account shared the news today with a video message from Holland and Wahlberg and a subtitled trailer, as well as a new poster, according to Deadline. ## Based on Sony's video game series of the same name developed by Naughty Dog, "Uncharted" won't be a day-and-date release with domestic, but it is surely a great sign as Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is facing trouble to get released in China, owing to what amounted to an unofficial ban on Marvel throughout the past year. ## Apart from "Uncharted", the other Hollywood title that gets a release date in China is Warner Bros./DC's "The Batman", starring Robert Pattinson. The superhero film will be released four days after "Uncharted" on March 18. It also becomes the first superhero flick since "Wonder Woman 1984" to get a release in China. ## Hollywood movies are having a tough time in getting a release date in China, but things are looking positive with "Uncharted", and "The Batman". Disney/20th Century's murder mystery "Death On The Nile", headed by Gal Gadot has also a confirmed release date in China on February 19. Marvel President Kevin Feige Calls 'Endgame' The Final Avengers Movie

Mumbai, February 17 - Marvel Studios, "Avengers: Endgame", which was released in 2019, may be the final Avengers movie, according to Marvel president Kevin Feige. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, "Endgame" marked the finale of Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) first chapter with the defeat of Thanos. ## The first Avengers movie was released in 2012 as "The Avengers", four years after MCU kicked off with Robert Downey Jr.'s "Iron Man" in 2008. The success of "The Avengers" tempted Marvel Studios to build its own universe which grew over the course of three Phases and the Infinity Saga finally came to an end with "Avengers: Endgame". ## It would take a number of individual Marvel movies before the next Avengers flick, however, Kevin Feige has put an end to the talks of "Avengers 5". During his commentary on Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Eternals (via Comic Book), the MCU boss suggested that they've completed the Infinity Saga with "the final Avengers movie".## "Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now past their tenth anniversary and with the release of the final Avengers movie, we've finally completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga", Feige said. ## In the grand scheme of things, however, it's difficult to believe that Marvel Studios will no longer produce Avengers movies since the studio is introducing a new cop of superheroes in its Phase 4, which has begun with "Black Widow". Paramount Pictures Confirms 'A Quiet Place Part III' And 'Sonic 3' Is In The Development

Los Angeles, February 16 - Paramount Pictures is putting giant steps in the world of entertainment by announcing the number of blockbuster titles, which will be debuting in theaters and on streamers in the next few years.## During its annual investor day presentation on Tuesday (U.S. Pacific Standard Time), Paramount Pictures has confirmed a new trilogy in Transformers franchise, starting with "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" in 2023. It will be set in the year 1994 and will narrate the backstory of Optimus Prime.## The studio has also confirmed the third installment of the post-apocalyptic horror film "A Quiet Place", set to debut in 2025 in theaters. This Emily Blunt-fronted will act as a direct sequel to 2021's pandemic-era box office hit "A Quiet Place Part II". According to Variety, the film will take off exactly from where the second part ended.## Apart from the "Transformers" trilogy and "A Quiet Place Part III", Paramount Pictures has also green-lit the 3rd installment of the adventure-comedy film "Sonic the Hedgehog", ahead of the release of "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" on April 8. Producers Paramount and Sega have set a television series about Knuckles, a character in Sonic's orbit who is voiced by Idris Elba.## Haruki Satomi, CEO of Sega Corporation, said in a statement, "We are delighted to announce that the third Sonic theatrical film and the first live-action Sonic series for Paramount Plus are being actively developed. Paramount Announced A New 'Transformers' Trilogy Starting With 'Rise of the Beasts'

Mumbai, February 16 - Paramount Pictures has announced a new trilogy in the Transformers franchise, starting with "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts". The studio, during a virtual press event in June last year, had confirmed the 7th installment in this highly popular franchise, and now, the company has confirmed that "Rise of the Beasts" will start a new trilogy. ## The studio originally launched the Transformers movie franchise in 2007 with Micahel Bay directing and Shia LaBeouf starring. After five main films in the series, Paramount delivered a reboot film, "Bumblebee" in 2018. The new trilogy of the main series is kicking off in 2023 with "Rise of the Beasts", which takes place between Bumblebee and the Michael Bay movies. ## As announced by Paramount last year, the forthcoming Transformers movie will be different from its previous films in many ways. It will include robots who transform themselves into animal forms like gorillas, falcons, and rhinoceros. "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" will be set in the year 1994 and will narrate the backstory of Optimus Prime. ## On Wednesday (Feb. 16), Paramount revealed its further plans during its Investor Day presentation regarding shows and movies. The studio also confirmed all its movies, starting from 2024, will exclusively be streaming on Paramount+ after their theatrical run. 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Beats 'Avatar' To Become 3rd Highest Domestic Box Officer Grosser Ever

Los Angeles, February 15 - "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is now the 3rd biggest-grossing movie at the domestic (North America) box office, beating James Cameron's 2009 sci-fi epic "Avatar's" $760.5 million. ## The total domestic gross collection of Tom Holland-fronted superhero movie has reached an estimated $760.9 million after collecting $1.6 million on Valentine's Day. There were doubts whether "No Way Home" would be able to beat "Avatar", and now, it can officially be said that it has busted those doubts and done the unimaginable in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Jon Watts, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has beaten the odds of the pandemic, however, this box office juggernaut is likely to stop with number 3 as it is unlikely to climb further heights in domestic markets. If it pushes really hard and does something which has never happened before, it will still need approx $100 million to beat "Avengers: Endgame" ($858 million) to reach 2nd spot at the domestic box office, which looks like an uphill task. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($936 million) remains in the first place. ## "Spider-Man: No Way Home", however, has played its part in glorifying the big-screen magic, in fact, it has done more than anyone had predicted at the time of the film's theatrical debut in December 2021. Meanwhile, "No Way Home" is also super strong at the international box office, and is currently the 6th biggest title at the global box office with $1.80 billion, without a single penny from China, which is the biggest movie market. ## "Avatar", meanwhile, may have slipped to 4th spot in the domestic market, it is still the king of the global box office with $2.802 billion, and will easily maintain its position without any trouble. Warner Bros. Sets Anime Feature Film 'Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim' Theatrical Release In April 2024

Warner Bros. Sci-Fi Epic 'Dune' Finally Hits $400 Million At The Global Box Office

Mumbai, February 15 - Warner Bros.' big-budget sci-fi epic film "Dune" has broken into $400 million at the global box office, after getting a major boost due to its domination at the 94th Academy Awards nominations last week. ## The Denis Villeneuve-directed adaptation of the 1965 novel of the same name by Frank Herbert scored 10 nominations, including the Best Picture, in the recently announced nominations. After getting re-released in the domestic market (North America), "Dune" gets benefitted from Oscar's nominations buzz and scored $145K on its 17th weekend for a total domestic cume of $107.8 million. ## Overseas, the film grossed $320K on its 22nd weekend, thanks to the re-release in Korea, reaching $292.3 million at the international box office. The movie currently stands at $400.2 million at the global box office, becoming the 8th highest-grossing Hollywood title of the covid-19 pandemic era.## Interesting to note that "Dune" was released simultaneously on HBO Max and in theaters. So the box office numbers are satisfying for the studio, especially knowing that fact that it was also a major HBO Max success in North America. Tom Holland's 'Uncharted' Opens Solid At The International Box Office

Mumbai, February 14 - With "Spider-Man: No Way Home" still putting strong numbers at the box office, Tom Holland's next film "Uncharted" has kicked off the international box office on a strong note. ## Ahead of its domestic (North America) debut on February 18, Sony's big-screen adaptation of its popular video game series opened in 15 international markets and grossed a solid $21.5 million over Valentine's Day weekend. There were questions about whether Tom Holland could bring audiences to theaters outside his "Spider-Man" movies, and "Uncharted" might have answered all those questions. ## Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the action-adventure film had the biggest start in the United Kingdom, swinging to $6.4 million, followed by Russia with $4.5 million, Spain with $3.5 million, and Ukraine with $1.3 million.## Compared to pandemic-era blockbusters, "Uncharted" movie is tracking 12% above "Eternals", 18% above "Black Widow" and 21% higher than "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" at similar points in their theatrical rollouts, according to Variety.## The $120 million budgeted movie, will debut in the U.S. and Canada in the coming weekend along with India, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and South Korea. Marvel Studios 'Doctor Strange 2' Locks Final Release Date In India

Mumbai, February 14 - Marvel Studios' next big feature, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" has finalized the release date for the Indian audience. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, the highly-awaited superhero movie will debut in theaters on May 6, 2022, in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. ## On Monday (Feb. 14), Marvel released the full trailer of the sequel of the 2016's film. It is the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that explores the multiverse concept, after "Spider-Man: No Way Home". "Doctor Strange 2", however, takes deep into the concept where things become messier than "No Way Home". ## In the latest trailer, one can see that Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme is under attack from all sides after he opened that gate of the multiverse in "No Way Home", which goes wrong as several monstrous beings invade the MCU. To deal with that he seeks the help of Scarlet Witch played by Elizabeth Oleson, however, it is not as easy as it looks. ## Meanwhile, "Doctor Strange 2" is rumored to have many cameos including Captain Marvel. In one of the clips of the trailer, it looks like Captain Marvel is fighting Scarlet Witch. Among the other possible cameos, previously Fox-owned characters like X-Men may debut in MCU with the Multiverse of Madness. The rumors have also stated that Tom Cruise plays a cameo as Iron Man in this blockbuster sequel. ## The movie is being directed by Sam Raimi from a script written by Michael Waldron. Gal Gadot's 'Death On The Nile' Opens To Number 1 At The Domestic Box Office

Los Angeles, February 13 - Gal Gadot-starrer murder mystery film "Death on the Nile", took an underwhelming start at the domestic box office with $5.1 million on Friday, followed by Jennifer Lopez-Owen Wilson romantic comedy "Marry Me" with $3 million at number 2. ## Disney and 20th Century Studios' "Death on the Nile", based on the famous Agatha Christie novel, is heading towards $12.7 million in its opening weekend at the domestic (North America) box office. The opening of the film, however, is only half as much as the opening day gross of its predecessor "Murder on the Orient Express" ($10.7 million) in 2017, which went on to score $102 million domestic gross. ## The Kenneth Branagh-directed cost $90 million in production, and Hollywood trade experts believe that the movie will find it tough to recover the production cost. The movie has faced several delays due to the covid-19 pandemic while the production of the film was greenlit shortly after the release of "Murder on the Orient Express". ## According to Variety, the box office fate of "Death on the Nile" may have seemed prewritten for quite some time now. 'Spider-Man' Best Picture Oscars Snub Disappoints Jimmy Kimmel And Director Kevin Smith

Los Angeles, February 12 - The recently announced nominations for the 94th Academy Awards are being criticized for not picking "Spider-Man: No Way Home", in the Best Picture category. Despite being hailed critically and doing wonders at the box office, "No Way Home" was nominated only for the Best Visual Effects category. ## Jimmy Kimmel called out on Academy on Tuesday's late-night episode and argued that the biggest snub was the movie everyone is going to see, even Academy voters. He also said that "Don't Look Up" was not worthy to be picked for a Best Picture nomination. ## "The biggest snub today in my opinion, and I'm actually even angry about this, I'm kind of embarrassed to say, is the unforgivable omission of Spider-Man: No Way Home", he said. "You're telling me Don't Look Up was better than Spider-Man? It certainly was not", he argued. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" is the costliest film ever with a budget of $379 million. ## Avengers "Age of Ultron", "Endgame", and "Infinity War" are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th most expensive movies with $365 million, $356 million, and $325 million, respectively. "Pirates of the Caribbean: The World's End", and "Justice League" are the 5th most expensive titles with a cost of $300 million each. ## According to Variety sources, a significant factor in this budget escalation is that "Mission: Impossible 7" was initially scheduled to begin shooting in Venice in February 2020, but it had to stop and start production seven different times. ## "Mission: Impossible 7" was supposed to hit screens in September this year, but in January, Paramount announced that it was delaying the release of "Mission: Impossible 7" to July 14, 2023, citing "delays due to the ongoing pandemic". The Keanu Reeves-fronted movie was released in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously in December last year, which is the reason behind the lawsuit. ## Village Roadshow Pictures has alleged that Warner Bros. is prioritizing HBO Max to increase streamer's popularity at the cost of movies box office revenue. ## "WB's sole purpose in moving the release date of The Matrix Resurrections forward was to create a desperately needed wave of year-end HBO Max premium subscriptions from what it knew would be a blockbuster film, despite knowing full well that it would decimate the film's box office revenue and deprive Village Roadshow of any economic upside that WB and its affiliates would enjoy, especially as compared to a 2022 exclusive theatrical release", states the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ## Warner Bros. said in a statement, "This is a frivolous attempt by Village Roadshow to avoid their contractual commitment to participate in the arbitration that we commenced against them last week. We have no doubt that this case will be resolved in our favor".## The production company alleged that "The Matrix Resurrections" was supposed to release in 2022, but was moved up by Warner Bros. to boost HBO Max's subscribers. The day-and-date release of The Matrix sequel really put a massive dent in its box office potential as the movie grossed only $37 million domestically. It is also causing huge losses to actors, producers, and other financial partners whose revenue depends on the film's box office numbers. ## Warner Bros. renegotiated contracts tied to box office performance when it announced that it would put its entire slate of 2021 movies onto HBO Max and in theaters.
