Ram Pothineni To Reunite With Director Puri Jagannadh After Blockbuster 'iSmart Shankar'?

Hyderabad, April 25 - Telugu filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has been putting efforts to set up his next directorial venture after the debacle box office result of "Liger" last year.## Puri had approached megastar Chiranjeevi along with a few other stars for his next, however, things didn't work out. Now, it has been reported that the filmmaker will be reuniting with actor Ram Pothineni after their blockbuster maiden venture "iSmart Shankar". ## It has been reported that Puri recently narrated a script to Ram and the actor liked the story. The upcoming movie is said to be the sequel to "iSmart Shankar" and the official announcement regarding the same is expected to be made soon. ## Puri Jagannadh is reportedly working on the dialogue version and screenplay now that the basic story has been locked. Hyderabad, April 17 - Lady superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu's big-budget fantasy mythological drama film Shaakuntalam has turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office everywhere. ## The movie, directed by Gunasekhar, is based on a popular play Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa. Nani's 'Dasara' Shattered Record On The Opening Day; Crosses $1 Million In The US

Hyderabad, April 1 - Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama Dasara was in full flow on the opening day of its release at the domestic as well as overseas box office. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, the movie shattered all the records of the previous films of Nani and Tier-2 Telugu actors. ## Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara grossed an excellent 23.50 crores, including approx. 14.20 crores share in Telugu states on the first day, which is a record for a non-super star's film. The previous record belonged to Vijay Deverakonda's LIGER which grossed approx. 15 crores, including approx. 9 crores share in AP/TG. ## Nani's previous biggest opening-day grosser movie was Middle Class Abbayi (MCA) which scored approx. 7.50 crores share in AP/TG.
