Singer-actress, Selena Gomez opened up about her mental health and said that her mental health story was twisted into so many different things which left her got so angry and that she had to give up social media. ## In an interview with her mother Mandy Teefey for the newsletter The Newsette, Selena opened up about going public with her mental health struggles, reports Zee News. ## "For me, I had to give up social media, so I would go through these periods when I wouldn't (use my accounts)", she said.## "But I got so angry that my story was twisted into so many different things. The first time I posted (again), I was like, 'I claim my own story, so if you don't hear it from me, then it's not true'. Did I go and get help? Yes, I did. But I'm not ashamed. I feel better and I feel like I can understand a lot of things now". ## "I think that was my moment when I knew (nobody) was going to take my story away from me. And I really do believe that I made the circle, if you will, of making the media look like s**t if they're making fun of someone who has mental health issues," Selena added.## In April this year, Selena joined pop star Miley Cyrus in an Instagram Live and shared that she is bipolar. London, April 5 (IANS) A Legendary singer Elton John has pledged $1 million to his Aids Foundation in the hope that it isn't forgotten amid the coronavirus pandemic.## The iconic singer, 73, admitted that he was concerned HIV/Aids sufferers would be hit with a "double whammy" due to the strain on the health service, during a Bright Minded live-stream with Miley Cyrus, reports dailymail.co.uk.## John said he is working with his Aids Foundation and the new funds would be available in the "next few months".## He said: "I'm going to stick to my guns with the Aids Foundation and make sure because of this global pandemic that's happening that the people who are suffering from another global pandemic don't get forgotten."## "That's what my foundation has tried to do, help the marginalized, help the poor, help the people who mustn't get left behind. That is my main focus in the next three months, to make sure these people on the HIV and Aids lifeline we give them, don't get forgotten," the singer added.## At the moment, John is self-isolating in Los Angeles with his husband David Furnish and the couple's two sons, Zachary, nine, and Elijah, seven.## As well as pledging money to his HIV/Aids charity, John has also played a huge part in raising money to COVID-19 relief. Los Angeles, March 23 (IANS) Singer Miley Cyrus says she gave up her faith because her gay friends weren't accepted at the church. ## During an Instagram Live chat with model Hailey Baldwin, Cyrus said she is keen to "redesign my relationship with God" after quitting church at a young age because it conflicted with her own beliefs. ## "I had some gay friends in school. That is the reason why I left my church is that they weren't being accepted. They were being sent to conversion therapies. I had a hard time with me finding my sexuality too," Miley said. ## She continued: "So I think now you telling me that I'm allowed to redesign my relationship with God as an adult and make it how it feels most accepting to me would make me feel so less turned off by spirituality." ## Encouraging the singer to explore her "journey between you and God", Baldwin replied: "It's not your journey and 10 other people's journey.
