Mumbai, March 6 - Superstar Salman Khan's action drama Sikandar is one of the most-anticipated Bollywood movies. It is the first movie for the actor since YRF's Tiger 3 in November 2023, and there is genuine anticipation for the film which is directed by A. R. Murugadoss. ## The buzz around Sikandar is on the rise with each passing day and the same can be understood with the non-theatrical rights which has been locked. According to the reports, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has locked the film's non-theatrical rights for a very good sum of around 165 crores, which includes digital, satellite and music rights.## It is said that Netflix has secured the post-theatrical streaming rights of Sikandar on a base price of 85 crores and it can go higher up to 100 crores based on the film's box office performance. Zee Network has grabbed satellite rights for 50 crores while music rights are with Zee Music Company for 30 crores.## The budget of the movie is reportedly around 180 crores, excluding the remuneration of Salman Khan. This is a reasonable cost for a movie which has been mounted on a huge scale and with positive word of mouth, it is expected to set the box office on fire. ## Sikandar is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment It stars Salman Khan in the title role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. Mumbai, March 6 - The 2016 crime drama Udta Punjab starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Diljit Dosanjh is getting a sequel. The project is currently in the writing phase with production slated to begin next year. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, producer Ekta Kapoor has roped in Aakash Kaushik to write and direct Udta Punjab 2. Although the casting for the film will commence after the compilation of the script, Ekta is keen on bringing Shahid Kapoor back in the lead role.## The filmmaker reportedly briefly discussed the film with Shahid and the formal talks will happen soon. "The sequel will apparently feature a new storyline, with its only connection to the original being Punjab’s drug crisis", says the report.## Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Udta Punjab is a hard-hitting crime drama, deep-rooted to Punjab's drug crisis and its links to politics. Back in the day, the movie faced many challenges leading to its release and once it was released, it resonated with the audiences and became a box office hit with nearly 100 crores worldwide gross collection.## Udta Punjab 2 is one of the many more franchise sequels in the making in Bollywood. Films with franchise value are becoming a box office success guarantee post the COVID-19 pandemic. Los Angeles, March 5 - Marvel Studios' highly-awaited Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars are fast approaching their releases. Doomsday will be the first to release in 2026, followed by Secret Wars in 2027, and the Russo Brothers, who are set to direct both, have revealed the estimated runtime of both films. ## Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub for their upcoming film, The Electric State, the director duo teased the runtime of their high-profile Marvel blockbusters. Both films will be longer than most of the Marvel movies. The longest-running film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Avengers: Endgame (182 minutes), was directed by Russos and it was their last MCU film.## Well, the upcoming Avengers movies may not necessarily be the longest films in the MCU but they are surely going to be the closest to the longest film as according to the directors, the first one (Doomsday) is two and a half, and the second one (Secret Wars) is three hours long.## Doomsday, which is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 1, 2026, will start filming this summer. As per Russos, it will be the most radical Marvel movie to date and the audience will be shocked to see it. It will revolve around Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom and will also involve the new Fantastic Four — Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach along with other MCU stars.## The follow-up to Doomsday will be Secret Wars which begins filming next year and be released on May 7, 2027. The comeback of Russos in the MCU as director along with Downey Jr. in a different role has already raised the hype for both movies. Kochi, March 5 - Malayalam star Unni Mukundan's box office blockbuster Marco has reportedly been halted for the television premiere and is also likely to be stopped from OTT release due to the violent content. The movie is directed by Haneef Adeni. ## Touted as the most violent film, Marco was censored with an A rating (18+) for the big screen release by The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) but the body has denied the permission to screen the movie on television. CBFC has also reportedly asked the government to ban the movie from streaming on OTT platforms.## It is to be noted that to premiere the film on television, it has to obtain a U/A or U certificate from the board. In the case of Marco, the central board accepted the recommendation of the regional examination committee and based on that, it was found that the movie contained too much violence to be changed to a U/A or U-category film. ## If the makers want, they can re-submit for permission by cutting more scenes but they are unlikely to do so as it will make the film irrelevant. It is probably the first movie in recent times to get banned from TV premiere and the decision is not surprising given the scrutiny CBFC has been under recently.## Marco, despite its huge box office success with a 100+ crore gross collection, has faced criticism for showing too much violence, and so has the CBFC for allowing its release in theatres. Meanwhile, the producer of the film has said that he will not make films like Marco in future, though their intention was not to promote violence. Nonetheless, the right decision has been made to halt its premiere on television, a medium where all age groups watch the content.## Stay tuned...

Originally released in 2007, this Vipul Amrutlal Shah's directorial has been one of the iconic films in Akshay's filmography. ## Namastey London is an absolute favourite of fans of this genre and due to its popular songs, iconic dialogues and evergreen romantic chemistry between the lead pair, the movie has aged well among the masses. Mumbai, March 5 - The rumours around director Atlee's big-budgeted film with superstar Salman Khan refuse to die except for the fact that it has been shelved, as per industry sources. The mega 2-hero film was supposed to set the box office on fire but not anymore. ## There have been many rumours regarding the shelving of Atlee's film with Salman. Since the movie was supposed to be a 2-hero epic, superstar Rajinikanth was reportedly in talks to come on board to join Salman. The temptation was also made to bring Kamal Haasan on board but nothing made to the cut.## Amid the reports that the film got shelved due to budget issues, the latest report by Pinkvilla revealed that it has been put on the back burner due to the unavailability of Rajinikanth because of the date issues. Kamal Haasan too wasn't sure about playing the second lead role, which, as per the report, was the role of the father of Salman's character.## Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie and he will next start Nelson's Jailer 2 soon, so was difficult to secure his dates for A6 in the immediate future. Since the project was supposed to have cost over 600 crores, the movie needed a big South superstar to justify this huge cost but things didn't fall in place.## Pinkvilla has denied the rumours of the project getting shelved due to budget. It is said that Salman Khan and Atlee were confident of getting either Rajini or Kamal Haasan to join the film which was also a demand of Sun Pictures and once that didn't happen, the duo decided to not proceed with the film for now and they might join hands in future for a different script. ## Meanwhile, A6 will now be made with superstar Allu Arjun who is fresh from the all-time blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule. Mumbai, March 3 - Vicky Kaushal's blockbuster Chhaava continues to merry the box office with the excellent collection. In 17 days so far, the historical action drama has grossed approximately 625 crores worldwide, including 548 crores gross in India. ## Chhaava has sold 2.17+ crores of tickets at the box office in 17 days which is the highest for an Indian film of 2025 so far. Meanwhile, on the online ticketing platform, BookMyShow, the movie has crossed 10+ million (1+ crore) tickets, making it the first movie of the year to do so. ## Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is already the highest-grossing film of the director along with actor Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna and the third biggest grosser for Rashmika Mandanna. Hyderabad, March 3 - Superstar Jr. NTR has teamed up with director Prashanth Neel for a big-budgeted Pan India movie which recently commenced filming in Hyderabad. The movie is being produced by industry giant Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts on a huge budget. ## NTR-Neel's is one of the most anticipated Indian films in the making and as had been reported in the media, the movie's title has been confirmed as Dragon by the makers. During the success celebration of Tamil blockbuster Dragon, which is distributed by Mythri Movie Makers in Nizam and Ceded Area, the makers confirmed the title and also revealed a few more details. ## Producer Ravi Shankar confirmed that NTRNeel is titled Dragon and it is a unique script that hasn't been seen in Indian cinema before. He also said that it will be released in international languages and showed confidence in the movie's box office performance, saying "sky is the limit". ## Dragon was announced for Sankranthi 2026 release and producer Ravi Shankar reiterated the commitment of the team to bring the film as scheduled. The movie reportedly features Rukmani Vasanth as the female lead alongside Tovino Thomas in a prominent role.
