Mumbai, June 21 - South Korea's iconic K-Pop girl group, BLACKPINK's Born Pink World Tour is set to have a 92-minute concert film, slated to release on the big screen worldwide on July 31st. The concert movie is announced to celebrate Blackpink's eighth anniversary. ## Blackpink's Born Pink World Tour is the highest-grossing tour from an Asian act and a female group in history. The concert movie will be released in more than 110 countries in a variety of formats, including ScreenX, 4DX and ULTRA 4DX. The tickets for the same will go on sale on June 27. ## The movie is directed by Yoondong Oh and Geun Min and it will be released by Trafalgar Releasing and CJ 4DPLEX. The movie will chronicle the world tour that played to 1.8 million fans across the globe in support of BLACKPINK's chart-topping 2022 sophomore album, BORN PINK. ## Trafalgar CEO Marc Allenby said in a statement, "We are delighted to collaborate once again with our longstanding partner, CJ 4DPlex, for the new BLACKPINK release. Mumbai, June 21 - Director Aditya Sarpotdar's horror-comedy Munjya has become the second highest-grossing film in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe, behind only Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's Stree. ## The fourth film in the horror-comedy universe, Munjya has scored approximately 68 crores net collection in 2 weeks (14 days) and it will be crossing Bhediya (69 crores net) today to become the second biggest grosser in the series. Stree is currently on top with approximately 130 crores net. ## Munjya has had an excellent hold in the second week, dropping just 7.50% from the first week for approximately 32.65 crores net, despite the release of Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion which is a much bigger movie in terms of scale, budget and star power and also with positive reviews and word of mouth. ## The Abhay Verma and Sharvari Wagh-starrer are expected to remain strong in its third week in the absence of notable releases. The movie, however, will be tested next week when Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD arrive on June 27 which is expected to take a good opening. ## Another 20+ crores net collection for Munjya in the third week will give it a real shot at topping 100 crores net collection which looks like a real possibility at this moment. ## Stay tuned...

Chennai, June 20 - Vijay Sethupathi-fronted action thriller Maharaja has become the 5th Tamil movie of 2024 to enter the 50 crores gross club at the worldwide box office within a week, joining Captain Miller, Ayalaan, Aranmanai 4, and Garudan in the list. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja grossed an estimated 57 crores, including around 41 crores in India and 16 crores gross at the overseas box office. It is expected to close the first week with around 61 crores gross. ## Maharaja is currently the 4th highest-grossing Tamil film of the year after beating Soori's Garudan which has scored an estimated 56+ crores gross in 3 weeks. Hyderabad, June 20 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara: Part 1 has locked theatrical rights for Telugu states with still more than three months left for the release. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is one of the year's most anticipated Pan-Indian movies, and the trade is buzzing about its box office potential. ## It was reported that Sithara Entertainment offered a huge 120 crores to acquire theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. While the quoted price has yet to be confirmed by reliable sources, it has been learned that area-wise distributors have been locked. ## According to Aakashavaani, Dil Raju will distribute the movie in the Nizam area, while Poorvi Pictures gets Vizag, LVR Adithya Films locks for West and Vijyalakshmi Cinemas for East area. In Guntur, Radhakrishna Entertainments will release the movie. Bhaskar Reddy and Dheeraj Entertainments will release the movie in Nellore and Krishna, respectively. In Ceeded, multiple distributors will distribute the film. ## Earlier, Anil Thadani of AA Films along with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions jointly grabbed the theatrical rights of Devara for the North India region. It is said that they paid 50 crores to acquire the theatrical rights to the film. ## Devara is produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni, Kosaraju Harikrishna, and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. The movie stars Jr. NTR in the title role alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, both in their Telugu debut. Mumbai, June 20 - After the box office rampage with Gadar 2 last year, Bollywood star Sunny Deol has been on the signing spree with back-to-back out-and-out mass entertainers. Continuing the streak, Sunny Deol has now teamed up with Telugu director Gopichand Malineni for a massive action entertainer, tentatively called SDGM. ## Billed as the biggest action film in the country, SDGM (Sunny Deol, Gopichand Malineni) will jointly be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Thaman S is on board to compose the music for the film which will go on floors on June 22, 2024. ## It is the first time Sunny Deol has collaborated with any of the aforementioned names. The collaboration has been in the news for quite some time now and it has finally been made official. Mumbai, June 19 - The Bombay High Court has allowed the release of Annu Kapoor's Hamare Baarah after the makers agreed to delete some objectionable scenes. The movie, which was supposed to be released on June 7, will now hit screens on June 21. ## According to Bar and Bench, a bench of Justices BP Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla watched the film and suggested changes which both the moviemakers and the petitioners agreed to. ## The court, after a thorough review, also said that the movie did not contain any objectionable content against the Quran or the Muslim community, instead, the court found the movie to be aimed at the "upliftment of women", according to NDTV report. ## "The movie is in fact for the upliftment of women. The movie has a Maulana misinterpreting the Quran and in fact, one Muslim man objects to the same in the scene. So this shows that people should apply their mind and not blindly follow such Maulanas", the high court said. ## Meanwhile, the court imposed a fine of Rs. 5 lakh on the makers of the movie for releasing the trailer before getting CBFC certification. The fine is to be donated to a charity of the petitioners' choice. "Violation was there vis-a-vis the trailer. So you will have to pay something towards a charity of the petitioner's choice. The cost will have to be paid. This litigation has got the film so much unpaid publicity", the court added.## Hamare Baarah is directed by Kamal Chandra and it also stars Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, and Ashwini Kalsekar, among others. In the movie, a woman takes her father to court to allow her mother, who is in the midst of a risky pregnancy, the right to terminate the pregnancy to save her life. ## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, June 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has completed censorship formalities with just over a week left for the release. The highly-anticipated sci-fi epic is directed by Nag Ashwin and it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan, among others. ## The censor screening of Kalki 2898 AD took place on June 18 and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the movie with a 'U/A' certificate and an approved runtime of 3 hours. ## The movie's 3D version was said to be shown in the CBFC screening and the reports say that the censor officials were left in awe by the film's groundbreaking visuals and Nag Ashwin's visionary direction. It is also revealed that there could be a second part of Kalki as the Cliffhanger at the end of the film reportedly came out very well. ## As reported earlier, Kalki 2898 AD is the costliest Indian movie ever for a budget of around 600 crores and it is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. Mumbai, June 19 - Director Rajesh A Krishnan's Crew has become the most-watched Indian film of 2024 on Netflix, surpassing the total reported viewership of Aamir Khan's production venture, Laapataa Ladies in just 24 days. ## The heist comedy, starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, Crew added 1.2 million views from June 10 - June 16, taking its total views to 17.9 million in 24 days. Laapataa Ladies had scored 17.1 million views during its stay in the top 10 on Netflix and is now the second most-watched Indian title of the year. ## Crew premiered on Netflix on May 24 after completing 8 weeks of the theatrical run with over 150 crores in gross collection at the worldwide box office. On its Netflix premiere, the movie scored 5.4 million views in the opening weekend, followed by 8.9 million views in the first full week, and 2.4 million in the next week. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, a box office disaster, scored 8 million views in the first 10 days on Netflix. Mumbai, June 18 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and director Kabir Khan are discussing a possible collaboration. Hrithik is currently shooting for YRF's Biggie War 2 with director Ayan Mukerji and the shoot for the same is nearing completion. ## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Hrithik has already started looking for his next film and is in talks with Kabir Khan for the same. "Hrithik and Kabir are discussing several ideas and have met multiple times over the past few months. Talks are at the primary stage right now, but they're developing projects together and are hopeful that they come to fruition", says the report. ## It is said that one of the potential films the duo discussing is a post-apocalyptic thriller based on a Hollywood movie, for which Hrithik has already secured the adaptation rights. However, there is no confirmed development on the same project revealed yet. ## Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan also has Krrish 4 which was announced a long time back and things are finally moving fast. Shamshera fame Karan Malhotra is said to be on board to direct and he has reportedly started preparing for it.
