Mumbai, March 14 - Legendary Amitabh Bachchan impressed one and all with his performance in director Nag Ashwin's epic Kalki 2898 AD which was released last year. The Bollywood veteran played the role of an immortal warrior Ashwatthama and his character will have a bigger impact in Kalki 2. ## There have been many reports regarding the shooting timeline of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel and according to the latest report by Mid-Day, Big B is set to start filming for the movie in May this year. It will have a month-long schedule and he will rejoin the filming with other actors later.## Kalki 2 will mainly focus on the conflict between Prabhas' Bhairava, Big B's Ashwatthama and Kamal Haasan's supreme Yaskin. Per the report, Bachchan's screen time has been increased in the sequel.## Big B will reportedly start preparation for his role by the end of this month (March). "The sequel will take forward his and Bhairava/Karna's (Prabhas) story, and their role in rescuing Sumathi's (Deepika Padukone) unborn child. It will be grander than the last one, as Prabhas and Bachchan also confront the evil Supreme Commander, Yaskin (Kamal Haasan). His filmography, though it is just 6 films old, is full of blockbusters, and the future line-up promises to take things a notch higher.## Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed 2 films in the pipeline, including the currently on-floors Coolie starring superstar Rajinikanth. The second one is Karthi-fronted Kaithi 2 which is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). However, Lokesh might direct another film before this blockbuster sequel. ## It is known to all that superstar Aamir Khan is playing a cameo role in Lokesh's Coolie and it was also reported earlier that the duo would team up for a full-fledged film. Now, as per the rumours in the media, Kaithi 2, which was supposed to be Loki's immediate next after Coolie, is set to be delayed. ## The rumours say that Lokesh might direct Aamir Khan after Rajinikanth-starrer as has been reported earlier. Hyderabad, March 14 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire is all set to re-release on the big screen on March 21. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, was originally released in December 2023 and emerged as a box office hit with over 600 crores gross collection worldwide.## Salaar has been trending on Disney Plus Hotstar for more than a year now as the movie is slowly becoming popular nationwide. Cashing on this opportunity, the makers decided to re-release it across the country and the decision is proving right as it's off to a strong start in the pre-sales. ## Eight days ahead of the re-release, the bookings for the film opened and on its first day, it sold over 25K tickets on the first day. The trend continues to be strong on the second day and so far, it has sold nearly 50K total tickets which is excellent. ## If the trend remains strong, then Salaar can emerge as the biggest re-release grosser at the Indian box office and this looks certain as it has reached more people due to OTT and there is unanimous acknowledgement for its big screen experience. ## The box office result of Salaar re-release might also dictate the term for its sequel which is scheduled to start rolling later this year. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be celebrating his 60th birthday on March 14 and on the evening of it, he addressed the media at his residence and shared updates regarding his future projects, including the next release Sitaare Zameen Par.## When asked about the film, Aamir confirmed that this R. S. Prasanna's directorial is the sequel to his 2007 drama, Taare Zameen Par and the official release date of it will be announced tomorrow, i.e. on his birthday. It is produced by produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.## Meanwhile, according to the report by Pinkvilla, SZP's final edit is on the verge of being locked and it will hit the big screens in June 2025. Aamir Khan has been passionately working on this slice-of-life sports comedy-drama and is confident that it will win over audiences and work big at the box office.## The makers are also working on the teaser and trailer and they will start promotion during the IPL 2025 season. Kochi, March 13 - One of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action drama Empuraan is announced for March 27 release in multiple languages but it might get postponed to the new date due to the internal tussle. ## The release of the film is in only 2 weeks but the makers are yet to drop the trailer or any other promotional content. Over the last few weeks, it has been reported that there has been a dispute between Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas for the distribution and business of the movie and the latest development indicates the same. ## According to Forum Keralam, Aashirvad Cinemas wants Lyca to exit the movie but the latter, despite showing a willingness to part ways, is not ready to do the same on the former's term. It is said that Lyca wants its partner studio to settle its investment of approximately 75 crores, plus an additional 10 crores. ## There have been multiple discussions regarding the matter but things are not moving toward an amicable solution. Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has teased the announcement of Brahmastra Part Two — Dev soon. It is the sequel to Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva and is the second instalment of a planned trilogy, which is itself planned to be part of a cinematic universe titled Āstraverse. ## Director Ayan Mukerji confirmed the second part was supposed to start immediately after the first film which was released in 2022. However, the filmmaker decided to re-work the script which delayed its production and in-between, he took up Yash Raj Films' highly-awaited spy action thriller War 2 which is slated to release in August this year. ## Since there was no development taking place regarding Brahmastra 2, rumours about its cancellation started spreading until recently when Ranbir himself cleared the air on this mega project. The actor along with his wife Alia Bhatt conducted a meet-and-greet session with the media in Mumbai recently where they spoke about their future project .## When asked about this epic fantasy action-adventure film, Ranbir confirmed that Ayan Mukerji will start pre-production work on it after War 2.
