Mumbai, December 14 - Mega blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule is set to become the first movie ever to score 100+ crores net collection in Hindi in the second weekend. The movie had a historic opening weekend and week with over 425 crores net collection. ## Pushpa 2 earned approximately 27 crores net collection on its second Friday in Hindi and on Saturday, it is expected to score 40+ crores net. On Sunday, there are chances of hitting 50 crore net which means the second weekend of the film will be, at least, 115+ crore net. ## This is a historic collection as Pushpa 2 will also cross 500 crores net in Hindi by the second Sunday, taking just 11 days to reach there which is an all-time record. Mumbai, December 14 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's maiden collaboration with the Pan India star Prabhas, Spirit is gearing up to commence filming early next year, and ahead of that, the makers are in the process of locking big names from Hindi film industry. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, director Sandeep Vanga is in talks with Mrunal Thakur for the female lead role opposite Prabhas. At the same time, the conversation is on with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are a real-life couple, to play the negative roles in Spirit. ## "Spirit is one the most ambitious and awaited films of Indian Cinema, and the makers are going all out to have the best and most talented actors of world cinema on board. While Prabhas is locked to play the role of a cop, the conversations are in progress with Mrunal Thakur, Saif Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor with the latter two for the negative turn", says the report. ## The report further states that Spirit is unlike any other cop action thriller film in Indian cinema where Vanga is looking to change the way cop actioners are made in India. "The writing work and prep is going on in full swing, and the ones who have heard the narration inform that Vanga is going to reintroduce Prabhas like never before in Spirit", it adds.## Meanwhile, there have been rumours about South Korean actor Don Lee featuring in the film, however, there hasn't been a concrete update about the same yet. Chennai, December 14 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has crossed 100 crores gross collection at the overseas box office, including more than 75% contribution from China where the movie is approaching the century mark alone. ## Maharaja had minted approximately 24 crores gross overseas in its original run and upon its China release on November 29, it has grossed approximately 76+ crores gross there in 15 days. This took the total international collection of Maharaja to 100+ crores gross and there is still more to come. ## Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the movie is also nearing the 200 crores gross mark at the global box office and it should get there with major help from the Chinese market. It has so far grossed approximately 183.50+ crores, which includes 83.50 crores gross collection from the domestic market.## Maharaja is currently the 4th highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024, behind Vettaiyan (253.50+ crores gross), Amaran (332.50+ crores gross), and The Greatest of All Time (457+ crores gross). Mumbai, December 13 - Pushpa 2 starts the second weekend with a fantastic hold at the Hindi box office with the collection coming in more or less in the same range as yesterday, the second Thursday. In the first week, the movie minted around 425 crores net collection in Hindi.## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 has scored in the range of 26-27 crores on its second Friday/9th day in Hindi, pushing the total collection to over 450 crores net. The second weekend is probably heading for 100+ crores net with a drop of around 50% from the first Friday to Sunday weekend which is an excellent hold. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the second Sunday (11 days) and will become the fastest to achieve this feat, taking 7 fewer days than Jawan which is currently the fastest to do so in 18 days. Pushpa 2 is certain to beat Stree 2 (598 crores net), probably by next weekend to become the biggest Hindi grosser. ## Apart from Hindi, the Allu Arjun-fronted blockbuster action drama has a decent hold in Telugu states and the rest of the market as overall second Friday is estimated to gross in the range of 40 crores in all versions. Mumbai, December 13 - The hugely-anticipated film of director SS Rajamouli with superstar Mahesh Babu is gearing up to go on floors early next year. The pre-production of the film, tentatively called SSMB 29, is ongoing and the makers will officially announce the project soon. ## According to the latest report by Filmfare, the makers are in talks with India's global star Priyanka Chopra to come on board to play the female lead. The actress hasn't done an Indian movie since The Sky Is Pink (2019), but SSMB 29 can be her mega comeback to the Indian cinema if the report is true. ## While there haven't been any official words from the makers yet, the movie has been making buzz for quite some time with its casting. It is said that Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the antagonist role in this mega project Pan India world movie and rumours are that it will also have international actors playing prominent parts.## SSMB 29, which was hyped as a globe-trotting action adventure by SS Rajamouli, is one of the most ambitious films in the making with a rumoured budget of 1000 crores. Hyderabad, December 13 - In a shocking turn of events, superstar Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in a case related to a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad where a woman died. This happened when the premiere of the actor's Pushpa 2 - The Rule was held and was attended by Allu Arjun and family on December 4. ## Now, according to the latest media reports, the bail of Allu Arjun has been rejected and sent to 14-dau judicial custody by a local court in Telangana in the case in which the deceased son was also injured and undergoing treatment. The actor has moved the Telangana High Court for urgent relief.## Earlier in the day, a police team, headed by the assistant commissioner, arrived at Arjun's home to take him into custody whilst his family members were present. The authorities escorted him to their vehicle before transporting him to the police station. ## Meanwhile, industry people have come in support of the actor, including Bollywood star Varun Dhawan who believes that Allu Arjun was not at all fault in that unfortunate case and that it was the responsibility of the authorities to handle the situation. ## It has also been reported that Sandhya Theater owners had resorted to police protection to handle the crowd during the premiere of the film but it wasn't provided. ## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, December 13 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. Both movies have grossed over 1000 crores worldwide and are the only Indian films of the year to do so. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has grossed approximately 1060 crores globally, including 867 crores gross in India, in its extended 8-day first weekend, surpassing the lifetime total of Kalki which minted approximately 1042 crores gross, including 767 crores gross domestically. Overseas, Kalki is still the biggest Indian grosser with 275 crores gross. ## Pushpa 2 has also beaten Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan (1055 crores gross) to become the 6th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office. It will outgross SRK's Jawan (1160 crores) and possibly KGF: Chapter 2 (1215 crores gross) and RRR (1230 crores gross) this weekend to become the 3rd biggest Indian grosser ever.## Aamir Khan's Dangal (2070 crores gross) and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion (1788 crores gross) are currently the top 2 highest-grossing Indian movies at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, December 13 - Yash Raj Films has officially announced the third instalment of Rani Mukerji-led action thriller franchise Mardaani. The actress will return to reprise her role as SP Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3 which is expected to be more dark and brutal. ## Abhiraj Minawala, who has worked as the second unit assistant director in films like Tiger 3, and Sultan, will be making his debut as a director with this upcoming movie that is scheduled for a 2026 release worldwide. ## Mardaani is the first female-led film franchise to have a trilogy. The movie once again has a fantastic hold to finish the week on high. ## According to the early estimates, Pushpa 2 minted in the range of 27-28+ crores net collection in Hindi on its second Thursday (8th day), dropping around 10% from Wednesday, a sensational hold. The total Hindi film collection is now around 425 crores net after 8 days. ## As said, Pushpa 2 will enter the 500 crores net club by the end of the second weekend itself to become the fastest to do so. Mumbai, December 12 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Prabhas are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film titled Spirit. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies in the making and will show Prabhas playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career.## The shoot of Spirit is expected to kick off early next year, and ahead of the production commencement, a short synopsis of the film has seemingly been revealed. According to Letterboxd, Spirit is about "A disgraced cop, determined to regain his job, hunts down a ruthless international crime syndicate".## Interestingly, during the promotion of Animal (2023), Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that the protagonist in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, in contrast to both Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads belonged to wealthy families. He stated that the movie is about a sincere cop.## Given the track record of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's filmography, Spirit seems going to be another A-rated film with so much violence. Mumbai, December 12 - Former Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff-fronted Baaghi 4. Harnaaz won the Miss Universe title on this same day in 2021 and to make it more memorable, the makers have officially confirmed her on board the film. ## Harnaaz, who has starred in a couple of Punjabi films, has been paired opposite Tiger in the fourth instalment of this action thriller franchise, directed by Kannada director A Harsha. Sajid Nadiadwala produces Baaghi 4 under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. ## Earlier, the makers signed on Punjabi actress Sonam Bajwa to play one of the female leads while Sanjay Dutt was confirmed to play the antagonist role.
