Mumbai, August 26 - After the all-time biggest second-weekend collection in Hindi, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 scores a good hold on its second Monday, which is a partial holiday on the account of Krishna Janmashtami.## The day-wise box office trend of Stree 2 has been heavily frontloaded so far, and the momentum continued on its 12th day (second Monday) though the drop is harsher than expected by around 60% for an estimated 17-18 crores net collection. ## The second Monday collection of Stree 2, however, is big enough to take the total to past 400 crores net at around 401+ crores, making it the first Hindi film of 2024 to do so. The full second week of the film is heading for around 135 crores net which is huge. ## The horror-comedy blockbuster is expected to enter the 500 crores net club during the third week, and then, it will chase Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan (582 crores Hindi net) in its pursuit to become the biggest Hindi net grosser of all time.## As said, Stree 2 has an open run till September 6, and even after that, it is expected to remain a strong force at the box office which makes it a serious contender to beat Jawan. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, August 26 - Maverick director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is set to direct Pan India superstar Prabhas and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in his next films. The filmmaker delivered a monstrous blockbuster last year in the form of Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Animal which was the talk of the town after getting released in December.## It has been over 8 months since Animal was released and the fans are now waiting for the filmmaker's next film. During a recent interview, Vanga shared that he already has planned his next two films on which, he would be working for the next four years. ## As known to everyone, the Kabir Singh director has Prabhas-fronted Spirit as his next film. He shared an update that the pre-production work on the movie has already started and will be released in the next 2 years, which means in 2026 only.## The initial plan was to start the filming for Spirit by 2024 end and release it in 2025, however, it seems the shoot will start early next year for the 2026 theatrical debut, as revealed by the filmmaker. The movie will be a pure mass entertainer, unlike the previous 2 films of the director. ## After Spirit, Vanga will start Animal Park which is the sequel to Animal. Ranbir Kapoor will return to reprise his double roles as Ranvijay Singh Balbir and Aziz Haque. There is no shooting timeline set yet but the movie is expected to go on floors by the end of 2026 for a 2028 release. ## Both Spirit and Animal Park will be produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series with Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures. Mumbai, August 26 - Bollywood has its first mega-blockbuster of 2024 as horror-comedy Stree 2 has surpassed 500 crores gross at the worldwide box office, doing this in just 11 days since its release on August 15. ## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the leading roles, Stree 2 has become the first Bollywood and the second Indian film of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD to top 500 crores worldwide. Overall, it is the 14th Bollywood and 23rd Indian movie to achieve this milestone. ## The blockbuster sequel has grossed approximately 460 crores at the Indian box office and an estimated 90 crores overseas, for a worldwide cume of approximately 540 crores in 11 days. This makes it the 23rd highest-grossing Indian and 14th Bollywood film at the worldwide box office. ## Stree 2 will cross Dhoom 3 (558 crores gross) and Tiger Zinda Hai (558 crores gross) with its second Monday's (12th day) collection to become the 21st biggest Indian grosser of all time. Mumbai, August 25 - One of the most-awaited Pan India movies, Suriya's fantasy action drama Kanguva is reportedly on the movie, again. This hasn't been a smooth journey for Siva's directorial which has been in the making for the past 2 years. ## Recently, Lyca Productions scheduled superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan against Kanguva on October 10. This move led to a big shock to distributors as both movies are hugely awaited and the clash would have definitely dented their chances at the box office.## With Vettaiyan being the last to lock the October 10 release knowing all the possibilities, it led to speculations that Kanguva would be postponed to avert the clash and now, the latest reliable reports have confirmed the same. Mumbai, August 25 - Mega blockbuster Stree 2 has a historic second weekend at the domestic box office with well over 90 crores net collection, making it the biggest 2nd weekend ever in Hindi beating Sunny Deol's Gadar 2.## After the excellent opening weekend, followed by the week, the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted horror-comedy exploded again in its second frame. Acceptance among all age groups and the lack of major competition are making sure Stree 2 remain one of the best-performing films in recent times. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, the blockbuster film scored the biggest second Saturday by edging past Animal and repeating the feat, Stree 2 has scored the biggest second Sunday with a very good margin by topping Gadar 2 as early estimates suggest 43-45 crores net on its 11th day. ## The second weekend of Stree 2 is 93+ crores net which is the biggest ever in Hindi, ahead of Gadar 2 which scored approximately 91 crores net last year during the same time. The total collection of the movie has reached around 386 crores net, and it will be breaking into the 400 crores club by tomorrow (second Monday). ## Stree 2 is now assured to enter 500 crores net club as it has an open run till September 6 and that shall be more than enough for it to achieve the milestone. Mumbai, August 25 - Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's action thriller Sky Force has been postponed from October 2nd release. Based on the true events of one of the deadliest air strikes by the Indian Air Force, the movie is directed by Abhishek Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force was supposed to be the studios' next release after the latest box office sensation Stree 2 which has crossed 500 crores gross worldwide. While the reasons for the postponement are not known yet, reports say Sky Force will now be released in January 2025.## Interestingly, the promo of Sky Force was supposed to be attached with Stree 2 in theatres but was postponed, giving the first indication of its delay in the release. The Gandhi Jayanti weekend is now vacant as far as Bollywood is concerned and there are rumours that one big movie might shift to that slot. ## Akshay Kumar plays the role of an Air Force officer in the film which marks the acting debut of Veer Pahariya, the son of renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya. Mumbai, August 25 - Earlier this year, it was reported that Bollywood star Ajay Devgn would team up with Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti for the first time. The movie will be produced by Ajay under his banner Devgn Films. ## According to the latest report by Mid-Day, the film in question will be a jungle adventure, on the lines of Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones. The concept has largely been unexplored in Indian cinema and it is certainly the first of its kind movie for the Singham star. ## The script of the movie is currently in progress and the report says that the movie will be set in the forests of India, with Devgn on a quest to find an ancient relic. The story will have historical significance and will be steeped in folklore and mythology. ## The yet-untitled movie will be heavy on VFX and is expected to go on floors by December this year. It is said that the movie is being designed with children in mind. The film will feature high-octane set pieces and stunts. Mumbai, August 24 - Humongous blockbuster Stree 2 hits the ball out of the park once again to score one of the biggest second Saturdays at the Hindi box office. Depending on how late-night shows go, the movie has a shot at scoring the biggest second Saturday ever in Hindi. ## The lack of competition and the universal acceptance of the movie, Stree 2 exploded today with a jump of nearing 100% which is truly out of the world as day-wise trending has been heavily frontloaded so far. According to early estimates, the horror-comedy scored in the range of 31-33 crores net on its 10th day.## The second Saturday (10th day) collection of Stree 2 is on par or slightly over the film's second-day collection of approx. 31.50 crores net. This has taken the total net collection of the film to around 341 crores net in just 10 days which is extraordinary. ## The second Sunday is expected to witness another good jump as there is a holiday on Monday, on account of Krishna Janmashtami, and the second weekend is heading for a massive 85-90 crores net. Mumbai, August 24 - After the massive box office success of action drama Animal, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic love triangle, set against the backdrop of a war Love and War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.## Love & War was officially announced in January this year and it instantly caught the attention of everyone, thanks to the mega casting. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the shoot of this much-anticipated film will commence the first week of October this year.## It is said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin Love And War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then move on to the friendship portions of RK and Vicky Kaushal who is expected to join the shoot on October 10.
