Mumbai, September 9 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is doing the biggest film of his career in the form of director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. The movie also stars superstar Yash along with Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol, among many others. ## It is known to everyone that Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram, and now, according to the latest report by Peeping.com, the Brahmastra star will be donning a double role in the film. Apart from playing Lord Ram, Ranbir will also play Maharishi Parashuram. ## It is said that Ranbir's dual role aligns with the fact that both Ram and Parashuram are avatars of Lord Vishnu. The actor will reportedly have a completely distinct and unrecognizable look as Parashuram who holds a brief but significant importance in the epic.## The report also states that the legendary Amitabh Bachchan has also joined the ensemble cast of Ramayana. Big B will reportedly lend his voice to the divine bird Jatayu, who loses his wings and life during a confrontation with Ravana while attempting to rescue Goddess Sita during her abduction.## The 2-part epic is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in partnership with Yash's Monster Mind Creations with a budget of $100 million. It stars Ranbir as Lord Ram, alongside Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Lankesh, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Laxman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and Arun Govil as Dashrath, among others. ## The shoot of Ramayana is currently going at a brisk pace and is expected to be wrapped by November this year. It is heavy on VFX project and the first part will have a grand release in 2026. Mumbai, September 9 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 is heading for a massive start at the North American box office. Ahead of the trailer launch on September 10, the film's pre-sales are already nearing $1 million in NA. ## According to Venky Box Office, Devara has sold approximately 26K tickets worth $778K for the USA premiere. The total North American pre-sales are approximately $830K with 18 days still left for the premiere which is on September 26. The advance sales are expected to jump further after the trailer release.## Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is anticipated to score the biggest premiere for an Indian movie in North America. Currently, Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has the highest premiere day with $3.5 million and the current trend indicates Devara has a chance to beat this figure. ## Jr. NTR's popularity is at an all-time high post the mega-blockbuster success of RRR which scored $3.3 gross collection in North America premiere in March 2022, and it went on to gross over $15 million there. Mumbai, September 9 - After months of speculations, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has officially reunited with director Priyadarshan for a fantasy horror-comedy film. The movie, produced by Ekta Kapoor and Akshay, has been titled Bhooth Bangla.## The film's official announcement came on Akshay Kumar's birthday on September 9. The makers unveiled the movie's title with the first-look poster which features Akshay Kumar drinking milk in a cup with a black cat on his shoulders. Mumbai, September 8 - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's mega-blockbuster Stree 2 continues to run riot at the box office even in its 4th week. The lack of strong competition is proving to be a one-horse race for this horror-comedy sequel.## After crossing 500 crores net in 3 weeks (22 days), Stree 2 carried the momentum to score the biggest 4th weekend in Hindi after minting 23.50+ crores net collection. The movie crossed the double-digit mark again on Sunday, which took its total collection to around 527 crores net in 25 days.## After the 4th weekend, Stree 2 has become the second-highest net-grossing film of all time in Hindi, beating Gadar 2 (525.70 crores) and Pathaan (524.50 crores). Chennai, September 8 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time scored an excellent first weekend at the box office with 160+ crores gross in India. This is by far the biggest opening weekend for a Tamil title of 2024 and one of the biggest of all time. ## The Venkat Prabhu's directorial is showing a fantastic hold everywhere, especially in the home state, Tamil Nadu, and the overseas territories. The first Sunday domestic collection of The GOAT remained flat, but still huge by every means with an estimated 40 crores gross (34 crores net) in all versions.## The total domestic collection of The GOAT is around 161 crores gross (137 crores net), per estimates. In Tamil Nadu, the movie remained rock solid and has crossed 100 crores gross in just 4 days. Per estimates, the movie is expected to score 27-28 crores gross on Sunday, for 105+ crores in 4 days in the state. ## The opening weekend collection of The GOAT was solely shouldered by the stardom of Thalapathy Vijay and the real test for the movie will be on Monday as the word of mouth is mixed. Chennai, September 8 - Thalapthy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time had a sensational third at the worldwide box office. The movie, despite the mixed reviews, is being massively driven by the stardom of Vijay at the box office. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT scored approximately 66 crores gross globally, including 39 crores in India on its third day/first Saturday. With this, the total worldwide collection of the movie is 221+ crores gross after three days which is the highest for a Tamil movie of 2024. ## The GOAT, however, became the biggest Tamil grosser of the year on its second day itself after beating Dhanush-fronted action thriller Raayan which grossed approximately 154 crores worldwide. Chennai, September 7 - Thalapathy Vijay's stardom is full on display at the box office as his latest blockbuster The Greatest of All Time is putting up a sensational show despite the mixed reviews and word of mouth from audiences. ## After the fantastic first 2 days at the domestic box office, The GOAT showed a very good jump of around 25% on Saturday for an estimated 37-38 crores gross collection (32-33 crores net) in all versions. The movie continues to score excellently in Tamil Nadu while other states remain on a decent level. ## In Tamil Nadu, The GOAT is expected to score 25-27 crores gross collection on its third day which takes its total collection to 76+ crores gross in the state. Mumbai, September 7 - 2023 was the year completely dominated by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan with three big box office blockbusters. It all began with his comeback film, Pathaan before Jawan outdid it with its phenomenal performance, followed by the third success of the year in the form of Dunki. ## Pathaan redefined the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan by becoming his first 1000 crores gross grosser before director Atlee's Jawan took it to the next level and turned out to be one of the biggest Pan India blockbusters of all time. Jawan has turned a year old after getting unleashed at the box office on this day (September 7) last year.## The action thriller was one of the first major collaborations between a South Indian director and a Bollywood superstar in recent times, and this collaboration turned out to be one of the most talked about for redefining the mass genre in Indian cinema. It was mounted on a huge scale and featured many mass moments to turn the theatres into stadiums.## Jawan was a box office phenomenon from day 1 and it broke several records in India and overseas. As said, it scored the biggest opening (75 crores net) for a Bollywood film, followed by the biggest first week of all time for Bollywood and one of the biggest in Hindi.## The box office juggernaut of the movie continued beyond the first week and eventually turned out to be the biggest Bollywood blockbuster domestically.
