Amid the lot of speculation about Thalapathy Vijay's Master for the direct OTT release, the makers have confirmed that though they have got an offer from a leading OTT platform, they have preferred a theatrical release of Master. ## In an official statement released by Xavier Britto and Lalit Kumar of XB Film Creations and Seven Screen Studio respectively, they have urged the cinema owners to stand by them in reviving the Tamil film industry. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior director, Om Raut is working on his next magnum opus, Adipurush - an adaptation of the epic Ramayana. The filmmaker has reportedly finished the scripting of this big-scale mythological and now, working on finalizing the cast. ## While Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan had already been announced to play Ram and Lankesh respectively, the search for other important characters is also looking on the finishing line. Now, the makers have finalized Kriti Sanon to play the role of Sita while Sunny Singh to portray Laxman in Adipurush, as reported earlier. ## Sunny Singh who was last seen in Navjot Gulati's Jai Mummy Di last year has signed the film and started shooting. The actor is elated to have bagged such a massive project and is excited to share screen space with the superstar Prabhas as his aide and younger brother. ## For the role of Sita, earlier the names like Keerthy Suresh, Anushka Sharma, and Deepika Padukone had cropped up, but Kriti Sanon is brought on board to play Prabhu Ram's wife's role in this most awaited film. ## "After considering several top names, from both the Hindi and Telugu industries, the makers have decided on Kriti. The trailer of Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan's Coolie No 1 has been unleashed as it is all set to be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Christmas, 25 December 2020. The movie will mark the return of the director-producer duo, David Dhawan and Vasu Bhagnani who united in the original Coolie No 1 in 1995 for the first time. ## During the trailer launch event, the crew of Coolie No 1 comprising the leading actors, Varun and Sara along with Paresh Rawal interacted with media and fans from Chandigarh via video streaming and was also joined by director David Dhawan along with producer Vasu and his son Jacky Bhagnani from their respective places. ## Varun Dhawan, while saying that the original Coolie No 1 has been one of his favorite films directed by his father, David Dhawan, the latest version of it isn't an exact remake of 1995's blockbuster leading Govinda and Karishma Kapoor as it is just an adaption of it. After the reports of Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar working on his next superhero action-adventure "The Immortal Ashwatthama" with the national awardee Vicky Kaushal, the latest buzz around this magnum opus is, Sara Ali Khan has been roped in to play the female lead. ## According to a source quoted in Mumbai Mirror, saying, "the entire movie will be shot over a span of 80-90 days at multiple locations in India and abroad in countries such as Greece, New Zealand, Japan, and Namibia, with plenty of time devoted to post-production as it will have a lot of visual effects for which Aditya has been collaborating with studios in the West. Sara's character has an interesting mythological arc to it. She is expected to sign within a fortnight and will start prepping from early next year". ## According to the publication, The Immortal Ashwatthama is set around the contemporary times and modeled around Guru Dronacharya's son Ashwatthama, who in Mahabharata gets the curse to be immortal. Vicky Kaushal is training in mixed-martial arts, spear-fighting, and horse riding for the role.## Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is currently busy promoting her upcoming comedy "Coolie No 1", co-stars, Varun Dhawan. In a major relief for actress Kangana Ranaut, the Bombay high court on Friday set aside the demolition order passed on September 9 by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and held that the demolition action "was actuated by mala fides".## It held that the constructions done by her in her Bandra bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra was "pre-existing" and not ongoing and also held that she is entitled to damages but appointed a valuer to help quantify it.## Soon after judgment came in favor of her, Kangana Ranaut shared a video on social media thanking the judicial system. She also thanked the people who supported her regarding this matter. "When individual stands against the government and wins, it's not the victory of the individual but it's the victory of the democracy. Thank you everyone who gave me courage and thanks to those who laughed at my broken dreams. She said she had completed renovations earlier and alleged "abuse of power" and "mala fide action" by the Shiv Sena ruled BMC.## The case was being heard by the division bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla, who said that the actress is allowed to make the bungalow habitable. However, it also said that the extent of the demolished position requires planning permission from the BMC.## The Court also asked to appoint a valuer to determine the compensation payable to the actress for the demolition of her property, which is to be submitted before the court in March 2021.## "We do not accept allegations made by the petitioner in view of the alleged atmosphere in the state of the film industry. The petitioner is suggested to maintain restrain on public platforms. Irresponsible statements made by the citizens are best ignored", the bench stated.## "Whatever be her statements, no action can lie except within four corners of the law. The manner in which action was carried out leaves hardly any doubt that it was against the law and sinister.
