Hyderabad, August 2 - Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda teamed up with Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri for the first time for an action drama film, tentatively called VD 12. The movie is produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios.## VD12 is currently in production with more than 50% of the total shoot has been completed. Meanwhile, the makers have announced the release date of the movie with a new poster. Hyderabad, August 2 - Mega blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has been in theatres for more than five weeks with the blockbuster collection of an estimated 1030 crores at the worldwide box office. It is the biggest blockbuster of the year and is only the Indian movie of all time to top 1000 crores worldwide.## With the box office trend slowing down and the competition increasing, the makers have announced a heavily discounted ticket price offer to the moviegoers to stay in the race for a couple of weeks more. Vyjayanthi Movies announced Kalki 2898 AD tickets at just Rs. 100 for one week, starting on August 2nd across India in all versions.## The offer should attract the moviegoers for, at least, one more week though it is unlikely to make a major difference in the overall box office collection. Mumbai, August 1 - The first collaboration between Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and acclaimed director Neeraj Pandey, a romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is finally hitting the big screens on August 2. The movie also features Tabu, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari in key roles. ## Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was one of the most anticipated movies at the time of its announcement in October 2022 but with just a few hours left for the release, there is hardly any buzz for the movie despite the involvement of the top names in it and multiple delays. ## There have been many films, featuring known stars over the last few years which shockingly scored low openings and as things stand currently, AMKDT is heading for the same fate. The pre-sales of the movie are extremely poor, as expected, in the lines of Akshay Kumar's Selfiee. ## As far as the domestic box office opening of the movie is concerned, things are not looking good with the expected start in the range of 2-3 crores. A lot will depend on word of mouth, but even the positive reception is unlikely to change much as there is very little room for the movie to score due to its subject and tight competition with new as well as strong holdovers.## With AMKDT, there is Janhvi Kapoor-fronted thriller Ulajh is releasing on August 2nd and despite the well-received trailer, the movie has failed to generate any sort of buzz. As for box office prospects of Ulajh, things are looking even worse than the Ajay Devgn-fronted.## Depending on word of mouth and walk-ups, Ulajh is heading to take the opening in the range of 1-2 crores net, which is one of the lowest of the year. The combined opening of both Ulajh and AMKDM is looking under 5 crores net, which is very poor and it will be the holdovers which likely to remain the top choice of the moviegoers.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, August 1 - Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have teamed up for Amazon Prime Video's spy action thriller series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, which is the Indian instalment of Hollywood's Citadel franchise from the Russo Brothers.## Citadel: Honey Bunny is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., better known as Raj & DK who co-wrote it with Sita R. Hyderabad, August 1 - The biggest blockbuster of the year, Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is nearing its box office run. The sci-fi epic has so far grossed an estimated 1042 crores at the worldwide box office and is currently the 7th highest-grossing Indian movie of all time. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD has been in theatres for nearly 5 weeks which is unlike the recent Telugu movies as most the movies have been streaming only within 4 weeks of the theatrical release. It was recently confirmed by the makers that Kalki 2898 AD won't be streaming before 8 weeks of the theatrical release.## Kalki 2898 AD will start streaming on August 22, 2024, which is 8 weeks since the film's theatrical release on June 27. OTT giant Amazon Prime Video has the streaming rights to all South Indian versions, including Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, languages.## Netflix has Hindi language rights to Kalki 2898 AD and the streamer also confirmed that it will start streaming on August 22, the same date as South Indian versions on Prime Video. Mumbai, August 1 - The sequel to 1997's war epic Border was recently announced with Sunny Deol returning to reprise his role as MVC, Lieutenant Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri. Kesari director Anurag Singh has been attached to direct Border 2 which will be a joint production by T-Series and JP Films.## According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has joined Sunny Deol in this highly-anticipated film. Dosanjh is fresh from the blockbuster film Jatt and Juliet 3 which has become the highest-grossing Indian Punjabi film of all time at the worldwide box office.## Dosanjh's character details in Border 2 are currently kept under wraps but the Punjabi singer-actor is said to be excited to play another real-life role after portraying renowned Punjabi musician, Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali's recently released Netflix movie of the same name.## Interestingly, Diljit Dosanjh has had a long relationship with director Anurag Singh. The duo has worked together in as many as five Punjabi films such as Jatt & Juliet, Jatt and Juliet 2, Disco Singh, Punjab 1984, and Super Singh between 2012 and 2017. Border 2 will be their 6th movie together.## Meanwhile, Border 2 is expected to feature Ayushmann Khurrana who is in advance talks. The First Border was set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, based on the events of the Battle of Longewala (1971). The sequel will reportedly take place after the events of the original movie. Mumbai, August 1 - Dharma Production's comedy-drama Bad Newz has surpassed 100 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. The movie is co-produced by Amazon Prime Video and Leo Media Collective and is directed by Anand Tiwari. ## The movie, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles, topped 100 crores worldwide on its 13th day. The movie has grossed approximately 66.50 crores (55.85 crores net) in India and an estimated 34 crores gross overseas for 100+ crores worldwide cume.## With its entry into the 100 crores worldwide gross club, Bad Newz has become the 13th Bollywood movie and the 8th Hindi title of 2024 to achieve the feat. For Vicky Kaushal, it is his 3rd 100 crores gross out of the last 4 films in the leading roles, after Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Sam Bahadur. ## In between the aforementioned hits, Vicky Kaushal was also a part of Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Dunki which grossed over 400 crores worldwide. Mumbai, August 1 - Netflix finally set a premiere date for its highly-awaited Squid Game Season 2 and has also announced the third season which will be the end of the show. ## Written, created, and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, Squid Game Season 2 will premiere on December 26 globally this year while the third and final season will premiere in 2025. The release date of this sci-fi survival action thriller show was announced with a video. ## Season 1 of Squid Game, which is the most-watched Netflix title ever (in any category) with 265.2 million views (2.20 billion viewing hours), introduced fans to the K-drama's titular deadly game, which forces citizens to gamble with their lives. In return, they may win a world-changing cash prize — or suffer the dire consequences. ## The official synopsis of Season 2 reads, "Using this fortune to fund his search, Gi-hun starts with the most obvious of places: look for the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. Mumbai, July 31 - Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's Deadpool and Wolverine has stormed past $500 million at the worldwide box office in just 7 days since its international debut on July 24, making it the fastest movie of 2024 to reach the milestone.## The first R-rated MCU blockbuster has grossed $261+ million (2185 crores) at the domestic (North America) box office through Tuesday (5 days) while the overseas collection is $284.80 million (2380 crores), for $545.80+ million (4565+ crores) at the worldwide box office.## Deadpool & Wolverine is the 6th film of the year to top $500 million globally, and with its Tuesday collection, it has surpassed Kung Fu Panda 4's $545.80 million to become the 5th biggest grosser of the year. It has also beaten Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ($567.60 million) on Wednesday as the 4th biggest grosser of 2024.## China is the biggest international market for the movie with $30.5 million, followed by the UK with $27.70 million, and Mexico with $23.4 million through Tuesday. In India, the superhero comedy has grossed approximately 100 crores ($11.90 million) so far.## Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is projected to reach $900 million by the end of the second weekend and is expected to hit the $1 billion mark during the same week.
