Mumbai, March 20 - Ranbir Kapoor-fronted period action drama film Shamshera was one of the most anticipated movies of 2022, however, it bombed at the box office and turned out to be the biggest disappointment for Bollywood. ## Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera met with poor reviews from critics which didn't help the movie to take a big opening and then, the poor reception from audiences as well made sure it go nowhere at the box office. The movie got criticism for poor writing and direction which led to its major disappointment. ## Now, the dialogue writer of the film, Piyush Mishra opened up about its failure at the box office. In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, the veteran actor and writer said that "I also didn't understand why it didn’t work. People said it didn’t work due to the script". ## "I think we have already seen fantastic stunts so many times. Now you will have to compete with them, the revolution in the South. Baahubali was not merely CGI, it also had a very solid script. To compete with a Baahubali, you will have to write an equally brilliant script. Pushpa also had a very good script, it wasn't made just like that. Adding CGI is only beneficial when you have a solid script, CGI without a script is of no use", he added.## Though there wasn't too much criticism for dialogues, Mishra said that it's the screenplay that decides the quality of dialogues in a film. "I derive my inspiration only from the screenplay. Dialogues depend on the screenplay. It's not possible to write dialogues for a bad screenplay, at least for me it's not possible", he concludes.## Produced by Yash Raj Films on a budget of around 150 crores, Shamshera did a worldwide business of approx. 60 crores, including approx. 48 crores domestically. Mumbai, February 9 - Blockbuster Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani is currently working on the comedy-drama "Dunki", starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The upcoming movie is the first time collaboration between two stalwarts of Indian cinema. ## More than half shoot of "Dunki" has already been completed and it will soon resume in Punjab. While "Dunki" is progressing well, the maverick filmmaker has reportedly started preparation for his next directorial venture which is said to be a biopic. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, the "PK" director will next make a film on the life of Independent India's first cricket captain, Lala Amarnath. Varanasi, Dec 29 (IANS) Noted filmmaker Kumar Mangat Pathak has announced that he will make a film, titled 'Raid-2' on the recent Income Tax (I-T) raids in Kanpur and Kannauj on perfumer Piyush Jain. ## Pathak made the announcement during a panel discussion at the three-day 'Kashi Film Festival' in Varanasi on Tuesday evening. ## Pathak, who had earlier produced the Ajay Devgn starrer 'Raid', said that this film only showed that money can come out of walls too, whereas in the recent I-T raids in Kanpur and Kannauj, the money actually started coming out of the walls. ## He said that the scene of money coming out of the walls will also be shown in his film 'Raid 2'. ## Meanwhile, during the panel discussion, actor Anupam Kher praised the Uttar Pradesh government for the development of the film city in the state. ## He said that with the initiative of the state government, artists living in different cities of the state would also get a platform to showcase their talent. ## He further added that artists across the world will also get a chance to showcase their acting skills along with mastery of music and dance. ## Thousands of people joining the film industry will get employment opportunities. ## For more and the latest news about Bollywood, stay tuned to us.

The actress will be playing the role of an assistant bank manager named Dakshayini.## Talking about the show, the actress said, "It always feels good to be in front of the camera and the icing on the cake is a good, impactful script and Suranga has been that project. We shot in the beautiful locations of Haryana and it has been a great experience shooting with such talented co-actors and an amazing team." ## "I play an Assistant Bank Manager named Dakshayini who is carefree, independent, and a focused woman but the truth can be different from what meets the eye," she added.## The storyline of the show depicts the journey of a heist from its plotting to execution.
