Shah Rukh Khan Becomes The Second Indian Actor To Score 1000+ Crores India Net Collection In A Single Year

Mumbai, September 18 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has unlocked a new box office territory as he becomes the first Bollywood and the second Indian actor to score a 1000 crore net collection at the Indian box office in a single year. ## Shah Rukh Khan has two releases in 2023 so far in the form of "Pathaan" and "Jawan", and both movies are currently the top two highest-grossing Indian films of 2023, respectively. Apart from being the biggest grossers of the year, "Pathaan" and "Jawan" have put SRK in a league of his own.## Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films, "Pathaan" was released in January this year and went on to score 543 crores net collection, including 524+ crores in the Hindi language. It is currently the highest-grossing movie in Hindi as well as in a single language in terms of net collection.## "Jawan", which is currently playing in theatres, is directed by Tamil director Atlee Kumar and just like "Pathaan", the action thriller is running riot at the box office. It has scored approximately 478 crores net collection, including 430+ crores in the Hindi language in just 11 days so far. ## The combined net collection of "Pathaan" and "Jawan" is 1020+ crores and with the 12th-day collection of "Jawan", it is nearing 1035 crores which makes Shah Rukh Khan, the highest net collection scoring Indian actor in a single year. Superstar Prabhas was the first Indian actor to cross the milestone of 1000 crores net collection in a single year when his "Baahubali 2", directed by SS Rajamouli, scored 1030 crores net in all versions in 2017.## "Jawan", meanwhile, is on course to become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie at the domestic box office. Mumbai, September 17 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan continues to go great guns at the box office and scored an excellent second weekend globally. The action thriller movie remained the number 1 title at the domestic box office by a huge margin while the overseas collection is also fantastic.## The Atlee Kumar's directorial movie scored over 100 crores gross domestically in the second weekend, including an estimated 43 crores gross (36 crores net) on the second Sunday. Box Office: Jawan Second Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, September 14 - Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has a fantastic extended first week at the domestic box office. The movie has already beaten SRK's own blockbuster Pathaan to score the biggest first week ever for a Bollywood as well as a Hindi movie.## The action thriller, on its second Thursday, scored an estimated 18 crores net collection in Hindi which takes its total cume to around 345 crores in 8 days. Additionally, it minted an estimated 1.50 crores in Tamil and Telugu versions for all India 19.50 crores second Thursday.## Jawan witnessed a drop of around 15% today which is a good hold as overall collections are huge. Mumbai, September 13 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 emerged a slipper success at the box office and entered the 100 crores net club in Hindi. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film managed to withstand Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan" and holdover film "Gadar 2" to make a surprise entry to the coveted 100 crores club. It topped the century mark on its 18th day as its current net collection stands at over 100.50 crores.## "Dream Girl 2" has become the 113th movie ever to top 100 crores net in Hindi. The last movie to hit this mark was "Jawan". DG2 is overall the 10th movie of 2023, including Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush" to achieve this milestone.
