WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg appeared on tonight's AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash to promote TNT's, Go-Big Show, Snoop recorded a remix of Cody Rhodes theme song and in Cody's corner for Cody's match against Matt Sydal.## Cody hit two crosses Rhodes on Sydal to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match, Snoop Dogg got physical. The New Beginning in Nagoya is set to take place on January 30, in Nagoya, Aichi at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium (Dolphins Arena). This will be the thirtieth event promoted under the NJPW The New Beginning name and the first to be held in Nagoya.## Ninomaru, Naka-ku Nagoya-shi, Aichi will be the location for the event. Sales of event-day tickets to be announced at a later date, you can click at this link to know more about tickets.## As the name of the event suggests, it marks the beginning of a new year for the promotion. Since 2012, the event is mainly held at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium (also known as Bodymaker Colosseum and Edion Arena Osaka) in Osaka.## Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show will only feature five matches. The 26th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) that was supposed to be held from November 5 to 12 last year will be held from 8 to 15 January virtually. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the ceremony will be held on a smaller scale. ## Taking to Twitter, Mamata Banerjee also confirmed that superstar Shah Rukh Khan will virtually attend the inaugural ceremony on January 08. ## "Together we will overcome this pandemic. The Kerala film chamber has decided that it will not open theatres in the state even though the government has granted permission to open theatres from January 5 with 50 percent capacity by following the strict Covid-19 protocols and periodically sanitize the theatres.## The film chamber has said that it will not be in a position to open the theatres without any proper decision on entertainment tax by the government. The chamber and the theatre owners demand that entertainment tax must not be collected by the government to which there was no proper communication from the state government.## The office-bearers of the theatre owners' association said that opening theatres with 50% capacity and paying entertainment tax is not a feasible option. The government has also fixed the timing for screening movies from 9 am to 9 pm, which is not acceptable to the theatre owners as they feel that late-night shows draw maximum customers.## Siyad Kokkar, a senior producer and former President of the film chamber, told IANS (as quoted by India TV) over the phone, "I don't know how we can maintain the theatres without the government foregoing the entertainment tax and not allowing them to operate in full capacity. We are under tremendous tension as theatres have remained shut in the state since March 2020 while the overheads have almost remained the same".## Stay tuned...

Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman who was last seen in a cameo role in Ashutosh Gowariker's 2019 historical drama Panipat, will be back on screen in a new avatar in the upcoming film Margaon: The Closed File.## The film is a murder mystery that tributes Agatha Christie's genre of work, and casts the 69-year-old actress as head of an Anglo Indian family who is an independent woman, a mother as well as an entrepreneur.## Talking about the same, director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma shared, "Zeenatji will be seen in a strong role of a woman named Sylvia. It's a complex and unconventional character with various shades".## "It's too early to talk much about the project. I have grown up on Agatha Christie's stories. New favorites have been revealed for both Royal Rumble matches. The 2021 Royal Rumble is set to take place on January 31, 2021, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.## It will be the 34th event under the Royal Rumble chronology and feature WWE's virtual fan viewing experience called ThunderDome. In the updated card, four entrants including Daniel Bryan, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Randy Orton have been revealed for the Men's Royal Rumble match.## Plush, Charlotte Flair, and Nia Jax respectively revealed themselves to be in the Women's Royal Rumble match. According to the latest odds revealed by Bovada, Daniel Bryan and Bianca Belair are listed to win the match. Daniel Bryan, who was originally tied for eighth at +1400, is now listed at +300 and is the clear favorite to be the winner of the 34th edition of the event.## Keith Lee is second at +450, Third is Big E who was originally a co-favorite before the latest odds were updated. Actor Anil Kapoor, who has projects across genres lined up in 2021, hopes the year ahead is good for all, including the film fraternity. The actor recently appeared in the Netflix movie "AK Vs AK" and garnering good responses and reviews for his role in the movie which also stars Anurag Kashyap.## Talking about the response to the Vikramaditya Motwane directorial, Kapoor told IANS, "When people like your film and your performance, you feel good. So, I am glad that people liked the film".## AK Vs AK was one of the many films released directly on the OTT platform in 2020 as theaters were closed due to the covid-19 pandemic. And now, as the industry gradually opening up, Anil Kapoor is hopeful that people will throng to cinemas to watch movies. ## "There are few films that are made for the big screen only. There are a few films of mine that are going to be released this year, so I hope audiences watch those films in theatres. I am sure about that because people are eager to watch films in theatres. There are few films that give you the same joy on the big screen and on OTT platforms, and 'AK Vs AK' is one of those films", the Malang actor said. ## "Now that vaccine has also been approved by the government, so I pray that theatres will reopen with the same capacity as they used to. The Grammy Awards 2021 ceremony, originally scheduled for January 31, has been postponed due to Covid-19 concerns. When it comes to lighting up the big screen, Jacqueline Fernandez is surely one of the actors to watch out for in 2021.
