The COVID-19 pandemic has seen many Bollywood stars coming together and providing help to those in need in the best way they can. While stars like Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, and others are continuously helping the migrant labors, industry workers, there is another person who is working on the sideline is director, Rohit Shetty. ## The renowned director whose love for the cops is not hidden from anyone has again come into the rescue for the Mumbai cops fighting COVID-19 pandemic as a frontline warrior. The 47-year old star director has facilitated 11 hotels to the on-duty Mumbai Police Personnel taking on corona. ## On Saturday, the Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Param Bir Singh took to his official Twitter handle to thank director Shetty for his continuous support to the force.## The tweet read, "We thank Mr #RohitShetty, who has been a source of continued support for the men and women in Khaki ever since the onset of the #COVID19 pandemic. Actor Varun Dhawan who played the role of a dancer in movies like ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D has come into the rescue for the Bollywood background dancers who have been hit severely hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor has provided direct financial support to the dancers with whom he worked in his movies. ## Due to nationwide lockdown, just like the other sectors, Bollywood also went into a complete lockdown that forced the many artists to lose their jobs. With lacking financial support, dancers made a collective video, appealing to producers and stars for help. Varun Dhawan listened to their plight and transferred money into the accounts of as many as 200 background dancers. ## One of the former background dancers, Raj Surani who is now a coordinator for songs, said, "Varun Dhawan has helped the needy dancers. He has worked with a lot of them in three dance films. He was very concerned about how the dancers are managing their livelihood. He promised to help them and try and address their problems".## However, Varun Dhawan is not alone in this great initiative, in the past, Sidharth Malhotra and Shahid Kapoor had also extended financial support to the background dancers. ## "There are many dancers who continue to face issues with their landlords over rent. There are others who have ailing parents and there are seniors who need medicine from time to time. We are thankful to all those who are helping the dancers. Though shooting has begun dancers will have to wait for really long time before they can go back on sets", added Raj Surani.## Earlier, Salman Khan had supported as many as 25,000 industry workers who, due to lockdown, lost their jobs and were going without money. The highly acclaimed and one of the most popular Netflix series Sacred Games' third season seems out of the question. Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was hailed for his role in the series and acquired a new level of fame says that there is nothing left in Vikram Chandra's novel that can be put in Season 3.## Speaking to a leading portal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, "Sacred Games got the kind of worldwide acclaim that none of us associated with the series had seen before. I remember shooting in Rome for Tannishta Chatterjee’s film and over there too there were so many people talking to me about Sacred Games. So we all felt it was right to do it again, and we did a second season".## Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, Nawazuddin Siddiqui admits that the second season was a disappointment as the intentions behind it were not sincere. "Perhaps, somewhere the intention behind Season 2 was not as sincere as the first time. I admit Sacred Games 2 was a disappointment", he said. ## As for season 3, the actor said, "Whatever had to be said from the original novel has already been said. There is nothing left in Vikram Chandra’s novel to be put in Season 3".## When asked about his character in Sacred Games and the dialogues were very popular, the actor politely said the credit must go to writers who wrote the dialogues that became famous.## "I can't take credit for the popularity of the lines that I spoke. I didn't write them. In India, we often give credit to the actor for a popular line. In Yash Chopra Saab's Deewaar, Shashi Kapoor Saab spoke the line, 'Mere Paas Maa Hai'. But, it was Salim-Javed who wrote that line. So the credit must go to them", he added. ## Sacred Games is a crime mystery thriller series of which the second season was nominated for the International Emmy Award 2019 in the best drama category. Many 'A' lister actors have already made their digital, on the other hand, the uncertainty over re-opening of cinema halls due to COVID-19, the makers are approaching the OTT platform for releasing their movies.## However, one of the biggest stars of the Bollywood Salman Khan is one of those actors who is neither interested in the digital platform nor he is in a hurry to release his films until the situation gets normalize. ## A very close filmmaker friend of Salman explained why Salman is carefree about his films in between the OTT chaos. He said, "Bhai's (Salman) movie will not release on the digital platform. His fans love to watch his movies in theaters nor would any producer has thought of his movies to release on the OTT platform". ## He further said, "Salman Khan's two movies, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali are underproductions and Salman Khan is one of the producers in both the films. Not only this, the script of Salman's third film is also ready during the lockdown which will also be made under Salman Khan production. The Oscar-winning actor and COVID-19 survivor, Hollywood star Tom Hanks is not coming nice when it comes to Coronavirus. The actor has said that he has no respect for those people who neglect to wear a mask and wash hands during the pandemic.## Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for coronavirus while shooting in Australia in March for his next movie.## "I don't get it, I simply do not get it, it is literally the least you can do", The actor said while speaking to the Associated Press about face coverings while promoting his latest film. "If anybody wants to build up an argument about doing the least they can do, I wouldn't trust them with a driver's license," he added.## In the whack of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the countries' governments have recommended face coverings and practice social distancing, though it is not mandatory to follow. ## "I mean, when you drive a car, you've got to obey speed limits, you've got to use your turn signals [indicators], you've got to avoid hitting pedestrians. We all are well aware of how much Akshay Kumar love to do action films as he is known for his expertise in action. Now, there are some news circulating on social media that the Khiladi Kumar will now be seen in the fourth installment of Yash Raj Films' one of the most successful franchise Dhoom. ## The Dhoom series was started in 2004 and was massively successful at the box office. The movie was starred Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol, and Rimi Sen in prominent roles. The second movie, Dhoom 2 was released in 2006 and it starred Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, and Bipasha Basu with Abhishek Bachchan with Uday Chopra reprising their roles.## While in Dhoom 3, Amir Khan played a double role and was co-lead by Katrina Kaif while Abhishek and Uday remained constant. ## Dhoom 4 has been in talks for a long time. While the official confirmation yet to happen, there were some rumors of Salman Khan to feature in the film. BCCI president and former India captain Sourav Ganguly said that Asia Cup 2020 which was scheduled to take place in Septemeber has been cancelled in the wack of Coronavirus pandemic. ## "Asia Cup has been cancelled," Ganguly said, without elaborating if this was a decision taken by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), in an Instagram chat with Vikrant Gupta.## Pakistan had the hosting rights of this year's Asia Cup but India was not willing to go to Pakistan and hence, it was decided to hold in the United Arab Emirates in September. The BCCI had already stated earlier that they have no problem Pakistan hosting the tournament as long as it was held at a neutral venue. ## "It's difficult to say which will be India's first international series. We've done our preparations but we can't do much till we know the government rules. We are not in a hurry because the health of players is of the utmost importance. We are monitoring things monthly," added BCCI president.## When asked about the possibility of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Ganguly said, "(If the T20 World Cup gets cancelled) then we will try everything to stage the IPL.
