Los Angeles, July 26 - The third Deadpool movie, Deadpool and Wolverine celebrated its Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut with the record-breaking opening for an R-rated movie ever after scoring a monstrous $38.5 million on Thursday previews at the domestic (North America) box office.## The high-profile Deadpool threequel, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, beats its predecessor, Deadpool 2's previews earning of $18.6 million to score the biggest start for an R-rated title by more than a double margin. ## Other than being a record start for an R-rated, Deadpool & Wolverine is at 8th on the list of top previews among all films, not adjusted for inflation. It is a little short of Avengers: Infinity War ($39 million) and ahead of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($36 million). ## Here are the top 10 biggest previews at the North American box office (via The Numbers) - ## 1. Bengaluru, July 26 - After scripting box office history with Prashanth Neel's directorial action drama KGF: Chapter 2, superstar Yash will be returning to the big screen with National Award-Winning director, Geetu Mohandas' gangster-based action film Toxic - A Fairy Tale of Grown-Ups. ## The film was announced last year with the official release date of April 10, 2025. The movie commenced its shoot recently, and according to the reports, the makers have locked a solid female cast in the form of Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Shruti Haasan, and Huma Qureshi. ## Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, Toxic will no longer be released on April 10, 2025, as announced. It is a huge-budgeted film and the makers are taking their time to mount it on the right scale. Due to the massive star cast, the scheduling of the dates of the actors is also a challenge for the makers and they are trying to align all the dates to shoot together.## The movie is produced by Yash under his banner Monster Mind Creations in association with KVN Productions. Mumbai, July 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's comedy-drama Jolly LLB 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian movies of 2025. The movie, directed by Subhash Kapoor, has wrapped up filming and is currently in the post-production stage. Meanwhile, the makers have locked a release date for the same. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the hugely-awaited film has been locked to be released on April 10, 2025, on account of Mahavir Jayanti and then reap the benefit of the Ambedkar Jayanti Holiday on Monday, April 14 as well. It's a 5-day extended holiday weekend for the blockbuster. ## The report also revealed that superstar Yash-fronted Toxic, which is scheduled to be released on April 10, 2025, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict and it will now be released on some other date, and without wasting any time, the Jolly LLB 3 makers occupied this slot for their movie.## Produced by Star Studios and Kangra Talkies, Jolly LLB 3 pits Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi against each other inside the court, marking the first time when the duo coming together in this 3-film franchise (including the third instalment). Mumbai, July 26 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD reached 280 crores net after a good fourth week at the Hindi box office. The film's collection was hit by Bad Newz which scored over 40 crores net in the first week but still, Kalki was the second choice of the moviegoers. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic scored approximately 14 crores net collection, making it the 5th biggest South Indian grosser in the 4th week in the dubbed Hindi version. Baahubali 2 remains the top South Indian grosser, followed by KGF: Chapter 2, Kantara, and RRR in the 4th week.## Rishab Shetty's Kantara is the new entry in the top 5 South Indian grossers in Hindi in the weekly chart. Mumbai, July 25 - It hasn't been a great year for Hollywood movies at the Indian box office with only Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire managing to hit 100 crores net collection in the first 6 months so far. However, things are expected to change in the second half of the year, starting with Marvel Studios' highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine. ## The third Deadpool movie, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is scheduled to hit the big screen on July 26. The anticipation for the movie among Indian audiences is as high as some of the biggest Marvel movies in the past and the pre-sales response indicates the same. ## The Shawn Levy's A-rated directorial, which is reportedly releasing on over 3000 screens across the country, has scored one of the biggest pre-sales of the year in India and one of the biggest for a Marvel title in recent times.## As of 9 PM on July 25, Deadpool 3 sold approximately 360K tickets worth 10+ crores gross collection (12.60+ crores gross with block seats) for the opening day in all versions. This sort of advance could have easily ensured a 30+ crores gross opening, but an 'A' rating of the movie may prove to be a hurdle. ## Marvel has an incredible fan following in India and the performances of its films in the past prove the same. Deadpool 3, despite age restrictions, is still expected to take 25+ crores gross (21+ crores net) opening in all versions. Last year, Ranbir Kapoor-fronted Animal took an earth-shattering start in India despite an A-rating with excellent advance and spot booking. ## If Deadpool 3 follows the same trend as Animal in the Spot booking (walk-ups), then the opening can be 30+ crores gross and beyond. Mumbai, July 25 - Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine final trailer has created a Guinness World Record by becoming the most viewed trailer of all time in the first 24 hours, beating Marvel/Sony's Spider-Man: No Way Home. ## Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool 3 final trailer which was released on July 19, scored a whopping 365 million views across social media platforms in the first 24 hours. Tom Holland's No Way Home had garnered 355 million views.## Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Scheduled to be released on July 26 in North America, the movie is tracking to earn $350+ million in its worldwide opening weekend. ## It stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen. Mumbai, July 25 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, who is gearing up for the release of director Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, will be reuniting with filmmaker Luv Ranjan for a high-concept action thriller, to be directed by Mission Mangal fame Jagan Shakti.## The film in question has been in development for the last few months. Luv Ranjan, who previously produced Ajay Devgn-fronted De De Pyaar De and its upcoming sequel, has come on board to produce Jagan Shakti's directorial, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## "It's a high-concept action film and will see Ajay Devgn in a completely new avatar. Luv, Jagan and Ajay are excited to explore this action space together in their next directorial. The film will go on floors by December 2024 and will hit the big screen in 2025", says the report.## The shoot of the film will commence in December this year, and before that, Ajay Devgn will wrap up Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. Mumbai, July 24 - Disney/Pixar has done it again as the studio's latest blockbuster Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated movie of all-time at the worldwide box office, beating Disney's Frozen 2. ## The sequel to Inside Out (2015), IO2 has grossed $1.46 billion (12245 crores), surpassing Frozen 2's $1.45 billion final gross on July 23. This is the 7th Disney movie and 5th for Pixar in the top 10 animated highest-grossing movies ever globally. ## In the process of outgrossing Frozen 2, the Inside Out sequel had surpassed Margot Robbie's Barbie ($1.44 billion) a day earlier to become the 13th highest-grossing movie ever, behind Tom Cruise's Top Gun Maverick ($1.49 billion). It can enter the top 10 movies in history by topping Top Gun 2, Furious 7 ($1.51 billion), and The Avengers ($1.51 billion). ## Directed by Kelsey Mann (in his feature directorial debut), Inside Out 2's domestic total stands at $601 million (5030 crores) while it has grossed $862 million (7215 crores) at the overseas box office. Mexico has been the biggest international market for the movie with $98.6 million. Kochi, July 24 - Thalapathy Vijay's mega-stardom has once again shaken Kerala's trade with the record-breaking theatrical deal for his upcoming movie The Greatest of All-Time. Gokulam Movies, the leading distribution studio in Kerala has grabbed theatrical rights of the movie. ## According to the Kerala film industry tracker AB George, GOAT Kerala theatrical rights have been sold for 17 crore which is a record deal for a non-Malayalam movie. The previous record also belonged to Vijay when his Leo was sold for 16 crores and it was also bought by Gokulam Movies. ## Thalapathy Vijay is arguably the biggest non-Malayalam superstar in Kerala with an incredible box office pull. Leo, which was released in October last year, did wonders at the Kerala box office by grossing approximately 60 crores which is a record for a Tamil title in the state. ## Talking about GOAT, it is a science fiction action film directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. Hyderabad, July 24 - After getting a major shock with Radhe Shyam and Adipurush, Pan India superstar Prabhas made a roaring comeback with back-to-back big successes in the form of Salaar: Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD which has crossed 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the second film of Prabhas to achieve the feat. ## The next release for Prabhas is director Maruthi's horror-comedy The Raja Saab which is produced by People Media Factory. The production house had also distributed Adipurush in Telugu states but suffered heavy losses due to the film's disastrous performance. ## Prabhas, who has a reputation for being a producer's delight, has once again shown a big heart for The Raja Saab. According to the latest Telugu media reports, the Baahubali star has reduced his remuneration significantly to compensate for the losses People Media Factory incurred for releasing Adipurush. ## The Raja Saab is currently in production and is expected to be released on Sankranthi 2025. Prabhas plays the titular role alongside Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Riddhi Kumar, and Yogi Babu among others in key roles. ## Meanwhile, Prabhas has a jam-packed schedule going forward. The actor will soon start filming for Salaar 2 with director Prashanth Neel. Hyderabad, July 24 - There is so much genuine curiosity about maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli's next film which is with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Touted to be a jungle-based adventure movie, SSMB 29 will be Rajamouli's first film since the monstrous blockbuster RRR in 2022. ## Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma seems to be one of the people who is excited about Rajamouli's next and he has some bold things to say about it. During a recent interview with a Telugu media platform, RGV claimed that SSMB29 will be the biggest film ever and he put reasons to say that.## "My guess is the film he (Rajamouli) is going to do now, I think that is going to go beyond imagination for the simple reason that post RRR release, I think he has spent a lot of time with the technician for the visual effects, so I have a feeling that this (SSMB29) is going to be really a "baap of all the films" made", RGV said.## As per reports, some of the award-winning international technicians will work on SSMB29 which is currently in the pre-production stage.
