Mumbai, July 20 - Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who was last seen in Dharma Productions' Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in July 2023, is teaming up with URI director Aditya Dhar for his next film, set against the backdrop of Indian Intelligence Agencies. It marks the duo's first collaboration.## Recently, it was revealed that Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna had joined Ranveer to play key roles. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, Aditya Dhar and his team are gearing up to kickstart the filming on July 25. ## The first schedule of the yet-untitled film will take place in Thailand, where most of the intel network interacts with each other. This will be followed by the next schedules in India and UAE. It will be shot over a 6-month-period and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025.## The film is set in the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies and is said to be based on some incredible true events from the history books of R&AW.## Ranveer Singh is excited to venture into the new world of agents in the film which is expected to be announced soon. Mumbai, July 20 - The third season of Amazon Prime Video's rural comedy-drama Panchayat emerged as the most-watched Hindi show in the first half of 2024, beating big-budgeted shows like Heeramandi, and Indian Police Force.## According to Ormax Media, Panchyat Season 3 has generated 28.20 million views, becoming the most-watched Hindi language web series across streaming platforms in the first six months of 2024. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix show, Heeramandi and Rohit Shetty's Prime Video series, Indian Police Force, were the next two most-watched titles with 20.30 million and 19.50 million views, respectively. ## Disney Plus Hotstar, however, ruled the list of the top 10 most-watched Hindi shows in the first half of the year with five titles, which include The Legend of Hanuman (14.8 million), Showtime (12.5 million), Karma Calling (9.1 million), Baahubali: Crown of Blood (8 million), and Lootere (8 million).## Ormax Media estimates viewership using primary research conducted among audiences across India on a weekly basis. Mumbai, July 20 - Actor Vicky Kaushal's comedy-drama Bad Newz, also starring Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk, has taken a good start at the domestic box office, scoring approximately 8.30 crores net, which is the fifth biggest opening for a Bollywood movie of 2024. ## Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz surpassed expectations and delivered the biggest opening day for Vicky Kaushal as well as for Tripti Dimri in the leading role. Mumbai, July 19 - It's good news for the industry as director Anand Tiwari's comedy-drama Bad Newz has taken a good start at the domestic box office, surpassing expectations to score one of the biggest openings for a Vicky Kaushal-starrer. ## Also starring Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk, Bad Newz has come as a breeze of the fresh air for Bollywood which has struggled to take a good start for most of the film. As per the early estimates, Bad Newz has scored in the range of 8.50-9 crores net collection which would be the 5th biggest opening of the year for a Bollywood title. ## Bad Newz scored good pre-sales which indicated the opening in the range of 9 crores net and the positive word of mouth ensured the walk-ups also remained strong to help the movie start on the projected lines. Mumbai, July 19 - Ahead of its global opening next weekend, Marvel Studios has unveiled the final trailer of the highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles. ## Directed by Shawn Levy, the third Deadpool instalment unveiled the full look at Lady Deadpool who is rumoured to be played by Taylor Swift or Blake Lively or someone else that only Marvel knows till the movie finally hits the big screens on July 26. ## The hype shooter trailer also confirmed the appearance of Dafne Keen, who memorably played the child mutant X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman in 2017's Logan, which was supposed to be Jackman's final outing as his iconic X-Men character, until he agreed to play Wolverine once again in the Deadpool 3 which is now Deadpool & Wolverine. ## Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Mumbai, July 19 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor's action thriller Deva has been postponed to Valentine's Day 2025. Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Roshhan Andrrews in his Hindi debut, the movie has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. ## Deva was supposed to be released on October 11 this year but due to the packed schedule, it has now been postponed to February 14, 2025. Mumbai, July 19 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has shared some exciting news about the future of its horror-comedy universe and also revealed the next movie after Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 which is scheduled to be released on August 15. ## During the trailer launch event of Stree 2 on July 18 in Mumbai, Dinesh Vijan shared fascinating information about what viewers can expect after Stree 2 which is the 5th movie in Maddock Supernatural Universe after Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya.## Speaking about the movie, the filmmaker said, "Stree 2 is like the mother ship. It answers a lot of questions that Stree's first part raised. It also tells you what the connections are". Mumbai, July 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has had another good outing at the Hindi box office in the third week, scoring over 30 crores net collection as one of the biggest third weeks for a South Indian movie in Hindi. ## The Nag Ashwin's directorial, in its third frame, scored an estimated 33 crores net collection. Among the biggest third weeks in Hindi for all movies, Kalki is in the 14th spot and when it comes to South Indian movies, it has the 4th biggest third week in the dubbed version.## SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion remains the biggest third-week grosser (for all movies) in Hindi with approximately 70 crores net. Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 is the second biggest in the list, followed by RRR at third among the South Indian films. ## Here are the top 5 biggest South Indian grosser in the third week in Hindi (net collection) - 1. Mumbai, July 18 - The Hindi box office may have another surprise winner this weekend in Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the leading roles. The movie is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Leo Media Collective. ## The film's advance booking opened a couple of days ago and unlike its title, the booking trend has been good news for the industry and the makers in particular. In comparison to previous movies, the pre-sales of Bad Newz are much better than most of them and it even topped Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon's Crew after the superb jump in the last hours. ## Crew although opened to 9.25 crores net is still one of the biggest openers of the year and Bad Newz will look to come close to these numbers. Depending on how the spot booking fares, Bad Newz, which is expected to be released on over 2000 screens, should open in the range of 9 crores (+/-) net collection while a double-digit start also can not be ruled out (optimistic). ## As can be guessed in the pre-sales, the buzz for Bad Newz has been good thanks to the trailer which was well received and the songs which have set the tone.
