The makers of the upcoming 1971 war drama movie, Pippa on Thursday have announced the much-awaited star cast which includes Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Soni Razdan in the prominant roles. ## The movie will be directed by Raja Krishna Menon who best known for directing Akshay Kumar starrer, Airlift while Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur will produce it under their respective production banners, RSVP Movies, and Roy Kapur Films. ## Pippa is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta's book "The Burning Chaffees". Ishaan Khatter will essay the role of Brigadier Mehta of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron in this movie. Moreover, Soni Razdan will play the role of their mother.## Pippa is written by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, and Raja Krishna Menon. The film gets its title from the war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as Pippa. It will show a heroic tank battle which took place in Garibpur in India, which eventually led to the liberation of Bangladesh.## Stay tuned...

Producer Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur have come together to produce a war action movie Pippa that will be directed by the Airlift director Raja Krishna Menon. ## Pippa will be starred by Dhadak actor Ishaan Khatter. The movie is based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971.
