Mumbai, September 29 - Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is one of the most-anticipated movies of the year and the makers kicked off the promotion with the teaser which was launched recently. ## Despite the mixed reactions, the teaser received a bumper response online and scored 50+ million views in the first 24 hours across social media platforms, the makers officially announced. On YouTube, the teaser scored 26+ million views on the T-Series channel. ## It is one of the most-watched teasers in 2024 which speaks a lot about the excitement for the movie among the moviegoers. However, the reactions to the promo may have cautioned the makers. Hyderabad, September 28 - After the sensational opening day, Jr. NTR-fronted action drama Devara: Part 1 scored a good hold on its first Saturday with a drop of around 50% which is expected for a South Indian movie with massive opening. ## On its second day, Devara is estimated to gross 26-27+ crores in Telugu states while 6-7 crore gross is expected in Karnataka and 2.50-3 crores is from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Amid the expected drop in South Indian states, the North India belt witnessed a jump as Devara is estimated to gross in the range of 11-12 crores in this region. ## The Hindi version of the movie is turning out to be a surprise box office success. After the good opening day of 7.50 crores net, the dubbed version scored a jump of 15-20% on Saturday for an estimated 8.50-9 crores net collection.## Overall, Devara is estimated to gross in the range of 47-48 crores (40 crores net) on its second day at the domestic box office which is a fantastic collection. The total collection of the movie is around 122 crores net (144 crores gross) in 2 days, per estimates. ## There is a possibility of a higher collection on day 2 if mass centers are said strong as the opening day. Hyderabad, September 28 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara: Part 1 was released on September 27 and took an excellent opening of 145 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, including approximately 98 crore gross in India and 47 crore gross overseas. ## While the worldwide opening of Devara is the 6th biggest for an Indian movie, it performed exceptionally well in 2 Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) to score the second biggest start there, behind only RRR, which also starred Jr. NTR with Ram Charan. ## Devara grossed an estimated 74.30 crores in AP-TG on its first day, behind RRR which scored over 100 crores gross collection in Telugu states. The latest blockbuster has beaten Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire's 67 crores, and Kalki 2898 AD's 66 crore AP/TG opening day totals. ## Devara: Part 1 is the second biggest Indian opener of 2024, behind Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD which grossed approximately 178 crore gross. Los Angeles, September 28 - Tom Hardy-led superhero movie Venom: The Last Dance is gearing up for the release on October 25 as the last film of the Venom franchise. The movie is directed by Kelly Marcel and is a part of Sony's Spider-Man universe. ## With under a month to go before the release, Venom: The Last Dance is tracking to be the biggest opener in the franchise. According to the projection by Box Office Pro, Venom 3 is headed towards taking the opening of $80 million - $120 million at the domestic opening weekend. ## The first two films of this anti-hero franchise opened with approximately $10 million apart - $80.20 million for 2018's Venom and $90 million for 2021's Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Venom 3, as per the early projections, is in the position to take the biggest start of the franchise and it can do it with a fair margin. ## Both, Venom and Venom - Let There Be Carnage finished their domestic run with an almost identical total of $213.51 million and $213.55 million, respectively. Here, Box Office Pro has projected a $250 million - $300 million range lifetime domestic gross collection. ## It is worth noting that Venom 2 was released during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic so there was a possibility it could have done much better in a normal scenario. Venom 3 is expected to get the benefit of being the final film of the franchise which has been incredibly popular among the superhero movie fans. ## Venom 3 is the fifth film in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU). It stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and Venom alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham. Hyderabad, September 28 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR has displayed his sheer stardom with action drama Devara: Part 1 which shattered projections to score one of the biggest openings for an Indian movie of all-time and the second biggest of 2024 at the worldwide box office with close to 150 crores gross collection. ## Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara had a sensational opening day, grossing approximately 145 crores at the worldwide box office. In India, the movie grossed approximately 98 crores (82.50 crores net) collection while the overseas collection is an estimated 47 crores, including premieres. ## Devara has taken one of the biggest openings in Telugu states with approximately 74 crores gross. The movie surprised in the dubbed Hindi version to take a very good opening of 7.50 crores net (9 crores gross), and this is driven by the growing popularity of Jr. NTR in the Hindi belt. ## The worldwide opening of 145 crores is the second biggest of 2024 for the Indian movie, behind only Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD which minted approximately 178 crores gross. Mumbai, September 28 - Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly been locked to headline Yash Raj Films' hugely anticipated action thriller Dhoom 4. The movie was officially announced many moons back and it is finally moving ahead with the pre-production stage. ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, the 4th instalment of the blockbuster franchise has entered the pre-production stage now at YRF under the supervision of Aditya Chopra. Ranbir Kapoor, who is riding on the monstrous success of Animal, is the newest addition to headline the franchise. ## "The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy", says the report. ## Ranbir will play the anti-hero and it is said that none of the original cast will return as Dhoom 4 is a reboot in the literal sense. In the previous three films, John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan took on the negative roles, respectively, which has been a driving force of the Dhoom franchise. ## Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra have been a part of each Dhoom movie as cop buddies but Dhoom 4 will feature two big heroes from the younger generation to replace them. The core story has been locked and YRF will proceed to the casting stage. Hyderabad, September 27 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 has set the box office on fire to score one of the biggest openings for an Indian movie at the domestic box office, and by far the biggest solo start for the actor. ## The movie recorded sensational pre-sales which led to the foundation of a monstrous start and after the early morning and midnight shows, where it scored decent word of mouth, Devara was unstoppable throughout the day with excellent occupancies, especially in Telugu states. ## According to early estimates, Devara is looking to gross 70+ crore in two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) which is easily one of the biggest starts there. In Karnataka, the movie is expected to gross in the range of 10-11 crores and an estimated 2.50 crore gross is expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. ## Devara surprises in the Hindi belt with the better-than-expected opening. The movie scored decent pre-sales in Hindi which indicated in the mid-single digit score. However, due to decent word of mouth, the spot booking got a boost. Per estimates, the film scored 7+ crore net collection in Hindi (8.25+ crore gross) which is a good start. ## Overall, Devara is estimated to gross around 90 crores (77 crores net) collection on its opening day which is the second biggest of the year after Kalki 2898 AD. Mumbai, September 27 - One of the biggest Bollywood films of the year, director Rohit Shetty's Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn in the title role is set to get a wide release across international territories in November this year.## According to Variety, Phars Film (PHF) has acquired overseas rights for this cop action thriller which also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles. ## Phars Film has teamed with Moviegoers Entertainment to orchestrate the film's rollout across international territories, excluding the Middle East, which PHF will handle directly. Mumbai, September 27 - Director Rahi Anil Barve's folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release has had a fantastic second week at the domestic box office as the movie continued to perform above expectations and remained over or around 1 crore net mark throughout the week. ## The movie scored approximately 11.50 crores net collection in the second week, dropping just under 15% from the first week's total of 13.15 crores net. The total re-release collection of the film after two weeks (14 days) is around 24.50 crores net (29 crore gross). ## Tummbad re-release has earned around 2X of its original collection (13.50 crores net) which is indeed a big achievement for a 6-year-old critically acclaimed film. Including its original run, the movie has grossed approximately 45 crores worldwide and will be breaking into a 50-crore club in the next few days. ## As said, Tumbbad has proved to be a big success in its repeat run after finishing as a flop when it was first released in 2018.
