In a major relief for actress Kangana Ranaut, the Bombay high court on Friday set aside the demolition order passed on September 9 by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and held that the demolition action "was actuated by mala fides".## It held that the constructions done by her in her Bandra bungalow in Pali Hill, Bandra was "pre-existing" and not ongoing and also held that she is entitled to damages but appointed a valuer to help quantify it.## Soon after judgment came in favor of her, Kangana Ranaut shared a video on social media thanking the judicial system. She also thanked the people who supported her regarding this matter. "When individual stands against the government and wins, it's not the victory of the individual but it's the victory of the democracy. Thank you everyone who gave me courage and thanks to those who laughed at my broken dreams. She said she had completed renovations earlier and alleged "abuse of power" and "mala fide action" by the Shiv Sena ruled BMC.## The case was being heard by the division bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla, who said that the actress is allowed to make the bungalow habitable. However, it also said that the extent of the demolished position requires planning permission from the BMC.## The Court also asked to appoint a valuer to determine the compensation payable to the actress for the demolition of her property, which is to be submitted before the court in March 2021.## "We do not accept allegations made by the petitioner in view of the alleged atmosphere in the state of the film industry. The petitioner is suggested to maintain restrain on public platforms. Irresponsible statements made by the citizens are best ignored", the bench stated.## "Whatever be her statements, no action can lie except within four corners of the law. The manner in which action was carried out leaves hardly any doubt that it was against the law and sinister. BMC has done it with disregard to the rights of the citizen", the bench added.## Stay tuned...

Telugu film Chatrapathi starring Prabhas and directed by SS Rajamouli is all set to be remade in Hindi. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas who has acted in several Telugu films will mark his Hindi debut with the remake which will be bankrolled by Pen Studios' Dr. Jayantilal Gada. ## VV Vinayak who had launched Sreenivas in 2014 with a superhit action entertainer Alludu Seenu, will direct the actor's Hindi debut film also. The hard-working actor whose movies on Youtube are among the most-watched Telugu movies has now trained his eyes on Bollywood. ## Talking about the project, Jayantilal Gada, MD & Chairman of Pen Studios said, "Chatrapathi is a great script and we needed a southern star to carry it to Bollywood, and we saw Bellamkonda as a perfect fit. We are very excited about this project, and everything is falling in place at a great speed. Ahead of the first of the three-match ODI series which begins Friday at the SCG, Australia captain Aaron Finch has heaped rich praise on Virat Kohli, saying the Indian skipper doesn't have "many chinks in his armour" and is probably the best one-day player of all time. ## Finch played under Kohli for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recently concluded 13th edition of the Indian Premier League where the latter scored 466 runs in 15 matches. However, he looked far from his best in IPL 2020 where RCB reached the playoffs.## "If you look at his record it's second to none. It really is remarkable. Actress Bhumi Pednekar is excited about her upcoming horror-thriller movie, Durgamati: The Myth that is scheduled to release directly on Amazon Prime Video on December 11. The movie is co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar says she is glad to collaborate with him again after Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The trailer of the film was unveiled on Wednesday (November 25). ## "I'm super excited about my upcoming film 'Durgamati' and it is an honor to play the lead in this conspiracy thriller. In what comes as a massive loss for the world sports, Diego Maradona, the Argentina legend who regarded by many as the greatest footballer of all time has died at the age of 60 due to a heart attack. ## The Argentinian football legend died at home, his lawyer said, just three weeks after having surgery on a blood clot in his brain.
