One of the biggest stars of the Telugu film industry, Nagarjuna Akkineni's popularity sour again as the superstar has created a new record in television ratings with the premiere of Bigg Boss 4 Telugu.## According to a report of the previous week by BARC, the ratings of the premiere episode of the Telugu reality show's 4th season on 6 September 2020 was 18.5, which is the highest among all seasons.## The show hit 20.6 TRP in Hyderabad while the viewership of the premiere also increased by 20 percent as compared to the last year. Nagarjuna took to his Twitter handle and thanked viewers for the record-breaking TRP. The plot of this movie is set in a small town in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. This movie is jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Bhushan Kumar under the banners of Ajay Devgn FFilms, Luv Films, and T-Series Films. ## The theatrical release of the movie has been postponed on multiple occasions due to various reasons. Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer upcoming movie, Coolie No 1 is all set to clash with Akshay Kumar's Laxmmi Bomb. As per the latest update on this comedy film, the makers are planning to release the film during the Diwali weekend and most probably on the 13th of November on Amazon Prime Video. Laxmi Bomb, however, will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on the 9th of November. ## With the covid-19 pandemic is around, filmmakers have been forced to take an OTT route due to uncertainty over the reopening of cinemas. However, the ongoing tensions in the film industry are all playing a major role in forcing them to take different platforms other than the theaters to release their films. ## According to a source quoted in Republic Bharat's report, before the film was about to get finalized with the streaming platform, Vashu Bhagnani had a long discussion with the heads of some of the national multiplex chains.## In the conversation, he requested them to give him a sizeable amount of advance or MG royalty and even asked for the remuneration of the threshold period of eight weeks from the date of a theatrical premiere for his film Coolie No. 1. However, in return to his plea, the multiplex chains expressed their helplessness in advancing money to Bhagnani or 'acquiring' his film on an MG royalty basis.## Coolie No 1 is an upcoming comedy film that is a remake of a 1995 film with the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the prominent roles. The latest version of the film is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani who also teamed up for the original film. Actress turned politician, Jaya Prada has lent her support to her fellow party member, Ravi Kishan for his remark on Bollywood in drugs-related allegations that have emerged against the film industry in the Sushant Singh Rajput investigations. ## "Drug addiction is in the film industry too. Several people have been apprehended. The NCB has been doing very good work. I urge the central government to take strict action against the culprits soon. Give them a befitting punishment and bring an end to this conspiracy by neighboring countries", BJP MP Ravi Kishan had said in Lok Sabha on Day One of parliament's monsoon session. ## A day after Ravi Kishan's speech, Jaya Bachchan had slammed him and Kangana Ranaut and come out in support of the industry saying that such statements were meant to divert attention from the state of the economy and unemployment. ## However, Ravi Kushan has got support from the former MP and current BJP member, Jaya Prada who said that the youth needs to be protected from the "problem of drug trafficking/addiction" and lent her full support to the Bhojpuri actor for his speech. ## "I completely support Ravi Kishan Ji's remarks about saving youth from the problem of drug trafficking/addiction. We need to raise our voice against the use of drugs & we need to save our youth. I think Jaya Bachchan Ji is doing politics over the issue", said Jaya Prada to ANI. ## Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has provided the additional security outside Jalsa, the Bachchans' iconic bungalow in Juhu, after Jaya Bachchan's parliament speech against what she called attempts to vilify the film industry. Disney Plus Hotstar has announced the release date of the most-awaited Bollywood movie, Laxmmi Bomb, and put an end on all the speculation surrounded by this.
