Indian Marathi film 'The Disciple' directed by Chaitanya Tamhane has won the prestigious FIPRESCI Award at the 77th Venice International Film Festival. 'The Disciple' becomes the first Indian film after Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Mathilukal in 1990 to win this award. ## Tamhane told IANS, "I want to thank the FIPRESCI and its jury members from the bottom of my heart for their continued support for our work. This is a very special honor for us given that the jury for this award comprises film critics and journalists from around the world. We are all quite thrilled and excited with this fantastic start to the journey of The Disciple".## This movie was premiered at the festival in Venice last week and becomes the first Indian film to make the cut since Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding in 2001.## The Disciple is a drama film set in contemporary Mumbai and follows an Indian classical music vocalist who, after years of diligent training and tradition, begins to wonder whether it is really possible to achieve the excellence he strives for. ## Produced by Vivek Gomber under the banner of Zoo Entertainment, the movie stars Aditya Modak, Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit in the key roles. Plush, Ottman Azaitar vs Khama Worthy will be displayed for the Co-Main event.## MAIN CARD (ESPN+, 8 p.m. ET)## Michelle Waterson vs Angela Hill## 1st Round: The first round kicked off, as Michelle Waterson with a nice attempt for low kick, but blocked by Hill. Takedown attempt from Michelle Waterson. Hill with a big connection to the head. Michelle Waterson with a clinch near to the fence, Hill with the elbow separating herself. A couple of nice stricks from Michelle Waterson. Hill with a high kick, but Michelle Waterson caught it in mid-air taking her back to the fence. The second round ended here.## 3rd Round: The Round 3rd kicked off as Hill with a jab, really nice job was being done by both the fighters. Hill looked for a high kick, but this time Michelle Waterson grappled her with a clear takedown. Michelle Waterson left no way up for Hill to get away from the hold. However, Hill was not restricted from landing elbows.## Michelle Waterson took her near to the fence with a takedown. Khama Worthy totally shook up, Ottman Azaitar took him down and immediately went for shots to the head as the referee stopped the fight.## Khama Worthy was unhappy with the early split from the referee, he also argued with the referee about this.## Winner: Ottman Azaitar via Frist round TKO## Roxanne Modafferi vs Andrea Lee## 1st Round: The first round opened up with nice jabs from both, Roxanne Modafferi caught the left leg with a takedown as well as. Andrea Lee soon got back to her feet giving Roxanne Modafferi no chance to strick. Roxanne Modafferi with a nice body kick, Andrea Lee with a potential takedown, nice elbows from Andrea. Roxanne Modafferi was totally grabbed by her left hand.## Roxanne Modafferi got back to her feet and took back to the fence. Roxanne Modafferi got her own takedown now. The left leg of Andrea Lee was locked down, this left a hard way for Lee to get back to her feet. Roxanne Modafferi with nice elbows. Shah Rukh Khan is all set to thrill his fans with the upcoming exciting projects of him. The actor who was last seen in Anand L Rai's "Zero", has reportedly been working on the multiple films in which one of them is Tamil director Atlee's next.## According to Filmfare, the superstar has signed the dotted lines of Atlee's next movie which has reportedly been titled "Sanki". The report further stated that Shah Rukh Khan will be romancing with Deepika Padukone in this awaited film. ## It is reported that Deepika Padukone has loved the story and is on board to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Sanki. The outright commercial will be Deepika's fourth collaboration with the superstar after Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. All their films have been blockbusters. ## Coming to Shah Rukh Khan, Sanki is the second big news for his fans in back to back days after the confirmation of Pathan that will be produced by Yash Raj Films. The Sushant Singh Rajput death case has taken a dramatic turn with the new revelations of drug angle after Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp chat got revealed which led the Narcotics Control Bureau to begin the investigation.## Soon after NCB started the investigation, it has arrested Rhea, along with her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Dipesh Sawant and a few drug peddlers in connection with the drug angle linked to Sushant's death. ## In the latest development in the drug-related angle, according to Zee News, the actress has reportedly confessed before the central probe agency that actress Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh along with designer Simone Khambatta, Sushant's friend and former manager Rohini Iyer, and filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra consumed narcotics substance. ## Rhea in her confession told NCB that Sara who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, had accompanied Sushant Singh Rajput and other friends to Thailand. It is to be noted that Rhea while speaking to a news channel, had stated that Sushant used to live his life like a king-size and had spent Rs 70 lakh on an all-boys' trip to Thailand. ## Earlier this month, Sushant's friend Samuel Haokip had claimed that Sushant and Sara were in love with each other during the 'Kedarnath' shoot.## Zee News also claimed that Rhea told the agency that 80 percent of Bollywood stars are on drugs. There are also reports that NCB is set to summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars in the drug investigations. Rhea, in her statement to NCB, had reportedly accepted her role in procuring drugs for Sushant and also handling the finances. ##

Jey Uso was brutally attacked by Baron Corbin and Sheamus before getting into the ring. The Yash Raj Films has wrapped up the production work of Bunty Aur Babli 2, a sequel of its 2005 film Bunty Aur Babli. The directorial debut of Varun V Sharma has completed the shooting schedule with the shooting of a song and dance routine on Saturday.## The shoot, at Mumbai's Yash Raj Films studios, adhered to the Indian government's recently announced safety protocols that allow movies to restart production in the COVID-19 era. Sharma who is making his directorial debut had previously served as chief assistant director on YRF's "Tiger Zinda Hai" starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The Yash Raj Films is all set to make its 50th anniversary a memorable one. After the multiple reports of big stars joining the upcoming YRF projects which will be announced on Yash Chopra's birth anniversary on 27 September, the production house has now reportedly signed a massive casting coup for "Pathan".## As per the latest reports regarding the YRF Project 50, the Aditya Chopra-led production company has now signed Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham for Siddharth Anand's big-budget actioner Pathan which may be announced on September 27. ## Shah Rukh Khan was earlier reportedly signed Pathan to play the titular character and now, as per reports, John Abraham has brought on boards to play the villain against SRK. The two-hero project is said to be a cat and mouse action-thriller and will be shot on a massive scale in India as well as several foreign locations.## Deepika Padukone To Star Opposite Shah Rukh Khan In Atlee's Next Titled Sanki!## The movie has reportedly been scheduled to go on floors around January and will be wrapped up by July, targeting the late 2021 release. Warner Bros. has again postponed the release date of "Wonder Woman 1984". The superhero sequel starring Gal Gadot, which was expected to hit the big screen on 2 October 2020, will now touch down in theaters on 25 December 2020, as reported by Variety.## "Patty (Jenkins) is an exceptional filmmaker and with Wonder Woman 1984 she has delivered an incredibly dynamic film that moviegoers of all ages around the world will absolutely love", said Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group chairman. "We're very proud of the film and look forward to bringing it to audiences for the holidays".## Warner Bros. had recently released "Tenet" on the big screen, marking the first major blockbuster to debut since movie theaters closed in March due to the pandemic. The $200 million-budgeted film, from director Christopher Nolan, launched over Labor Day weekend in the U.S. to a muted $20 million. Sources say the studio was waiting to assess ticket sales for "Tenet" before making a decision about moving "Wonder Woman", reported Variety. ## And now, with the delay of "Wonder Woman 1984", "Tenet" won't face much competition among ticket buyers and could see a boost in sales in the coming weeks. For now, Disney and Marvel's comic book adventure "Black Widow" on November 6 is the next major film on calendars.## "Wonder Women 1984" is directed by Patty Jenkins who also helmed the original Wonder Woman. It is produced by DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, The Stone Quarry, and Mad Ghost Productions while Warner Bros. Pictures will be distributed the film.
