Mumbai, July 11 - Akshay Kumar's comedy thriller Housefull 5 has completed five weeks at the box office. Despite the mixed reception, the movie has managed to earn a decent success. It has emerged as the biggest grosser for Akshay Kumar since Sooryavanshi (2021) at the global box office. ## At one point, it looked like Housefull 5 would be able to outgross Sooryavanshi's final worldwide gross of 293 crores, but due to competition and mixed word of mouth, the pace got slow at the box office. It will finish as the second biggest grosser for the superstar in the post-pandemic world, just short of Sooryavanshi at around 290 crores. ## Nonetheless, Housefull 5 has an outside chance to beat Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra's Bajirao Mastani (184.30 crores net) and Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (184.32 crores net) at the domestic box office to enter the top 50 biggest Hindi net grosser list. The movie needs another 1 crore net to surpass these two films, which looks extremely difficult, but might get there if it manages to stay in theatres for a few more weeks on limited theatres. In terms of India gross collection, Bajirao Mastani will remain ahead as tax rates were much higher when it was released in 2015. ## How much did Housefull 5 earn at the Indian box office in 5 weeks (35 days)? ## Housefull 5 is nearing its box office journey as it earned around 35 lakh in its 5th week, a massive drop of around 85% from the last week. It has earned approximately 183.30 crores net collection (218.35 crores gross) at the domestic box office and around 289 crores worldwide after 5 weeks. ## As said, the movie will finish below the 290 crores gross mark globally, as the second biggest Bollywood grosser of the year behind Chhaava (808 crores worldwide). Mumbai, July 10 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana has taken social media by storm ever since the first look introduction teaser was released recently. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. ## Over the last few days, there have been rumours that Yash as Raavan will have an extended cameo appearance with only 15 minutes of screen time in the first part of Ramayana, which releases on Diwali 2026. The reports left fans disappointed and disheartened. ## According to the latest report by Himesh Mankad for Pinkvilla, there is no truth in rumours as Yash will have a full-length role with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in Ramayana: Part One. The actor has reportedly shot for over 50 days since he started shooting on April 30, for just the first part of the movie. ## Contrary to the rumours, Yash reportedly has a screen time in excess of one hour in Ramayana: Part One, which acts as a build-up for the battle royale for Ramayana: Part Two. Meanwhile, shooting for the first part is already completed, while the second part filming will commence in August this year. ## Nitesh Tiwari is said to be treating Ramayana: Part One in a very interesting manner, as he is giving a proper build-up with back stories to the characters of Ram and Raavan, as that would make the impact of Ramayana: Part Two even bigger. Hyderabad, July 10 - A decade ago in 2015, on this same day (July 10), director SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, was released in theatres worldwide, and changed the Indian cinema for its greater good. ## Baahubali grossed approximately 650 crores worldwide and was the second highest-grossing Indian movie at that time, behind Aamir Khan's "PK" (792 crores). 2 years later, the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion was released in April 2017, and became much bigger blockbuster than the first part. ## The second part grossed nearly 1800 crores worldwide, but it was again finished as the second biggest-grosser, behind Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (2070 crores), which released in 2016. Now, 10 years after the first film, both films are returning to the big screen in a single epic cut. ## Earlier this year, the makers announced the re-release of Baahubali, and now, sharing more details, it has been confirmed that both Baahubali - The Beginning and Baahubali - The Conclusion will be re-released as one film, titled Baahubali - The Epic, worldwide on October 31st this year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ## This is probably the first time that both parts of a movie are getting re-released as a single cut, and the fans are excited to see how it works out. Los Angeles, July 10 - Director Denis Villeneuve is once again set to take the audience to Arrakis as he begins production for his much-awaited Dune 3. The final chapter of this sci-fi epic series will adapt Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah, but it hasn't taken its name as a title. ## Director Villeneuve shared a picture on social media and confirmed that the third movie has been titled Dune: Part 3. There were rumours that the upcoming film would keep the book's title as it is, but it is not the case. Instead, it follows the titling of its predecessor. ## The sequel to "Dune" (2021) and "Dune: Part Two" (2024), the film will cover the events of the 1969 novel Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert, the second novel in the Dune series. Other than the title, there were also rumours that the film would be entirely shot in IMAX, but the latest development confirms that it will have sequences filmed in IMAX, though it will not be filmed fully in the format. ## Dune: Part Three will see Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya reprising their roles as Paul Muad'Dib Atredies and Chani, and joining them from the previous films will be Jason Momoa and Florence Pugh, with Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke featuring in the cast. ## The film will be released on December 18th, 2026. ## Stay tuned...

It is a one-of-a-kind cinematic epic, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring the best talent for the same. ## When it comes to the female casting for the movie, the makers have pulled off a casting coup by bringing Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur on board. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, director Atlee has roped in Rashmika Mandanna to play a key role in the film. ## The film will reunite Rashmika with Allu Arjun after their all-time blockbuster, the Pushpa franchise. Mumbai, July 9 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the final chapter of the crime suspense thriller franchise, Drishyam, which begins filming this October and releases in theatres worldwide on October 2, 2026, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. ## Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 3 will reunite the cast of Drishyam 2. According to the report by Pinkvilla, actress Tabu, who has been a big part of the movie and featured in the first two movies, will return alongside Akshaye Khan, who featured in the second movie, for the third film. ## It is said that director Pathak recently discussed the idea of Drishyam 3 with Tabu and Khanna, and the actors were bowled over by the unpredictability of the screenplay, and instantly agreed to come on board the upcoming film. ## The report further stated that Drishyam 3 will most likely be the final film of the franchise, centring on the three main characters portrayed by Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna. L2: Empuraan (Malayalam) - The Mohanlal-starrer political action thriller, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, was the most anticipated Malayalam movie of the year, and delivered box office performance accordingly by emerging as the biggest Malayalam grosser of all-time, with a worldwide collection of over 265 crores gross. The controversy helped the film perform in its home state, Kerala, where it grossed around 90 crores. ## 8. Sitaare Zameen Par (Hindi) - This comedy drama marked a comeback for superstar Aamir Khan by delivering at the box office. Los Angeles, July 9 - When the box office around the globe is slowly returning to normalcy, how can James Gunn's Superman not fly and join the party, having just hit the worldwide tracking ahead of its release this weekend, on July 11, and the early numbers are promising a solid start for DC Universe (DCU). ## Starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Superman has been projected to debut with at least, $200 million at the global box office at 60,000 global screens, split evenly between domestic and overseas, according to Deadline. ## While global tracking sets expectations high, there's a noticeable difference in projections between box office analysts and DC Studios. Tracking services predict a domestic opening in the range of $130 million, whereas the studio remains cautiously optimistic, projecting $100+ million opening weekend in North America. ## The higher-end forecast for the movie has a term & condition attached to it, which is critical reception. Fortunately, the initial critics' reviews for the movie are positive, currently sitting at 86% from 147 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, a significant improvement over previous Superman outings. Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" (2013) received a 57% score, while his "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) lagged far behind with just 28%. Even Bryan Singer's "Superman Returns" (2006), once considered a respectable entry, sits lower at 72%. ## On the international front, Superman is expected to bring in $100+ million from 78 overseas markets, rounding out an opening weekend total in the range of $200 million to $230 million.
