Ahmedabad, January 27 - The British rock band, Coldplay has concluded its historic India tour at the Iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The band, led by pianist and singer Chris Martin, had a historic couple of nights in the most populous city of the state which saw a record turnaround. ## Home Minister of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghav announced on social media platform X that two concerts of Coldplay in the city on January 25 and 26 welcomed a record-breaking 2.5+ lakh visitors, including 1.70 lakh+ visitors from outside Gujarat state. ## On Republic Day, the Coldplay concert was attended by 134K+ people which is said to be the largest attended concert in Asia in the 21st century. It is also said to be the third-highest-grossing show in Asia and the biggest Coldplay concert ever. Further, it was bigger than any concert by pop icons - Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Madonna and Michael Jackson.## Coldplay performed five shows in India as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. Hyderabad, January 27 - Power star Pawan Kalyan will return to the big screen with the period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film stars Bobby Deol as the main antagonist. ## HHVM has been in production since 2020, but the movie kept getting delayed due to various reasons, including Pawan Kalyan's political commitments. Last year, the makers announced that the film would be released worldwide in multiple languages worldwide on March 28, 2025. ## The shoot of the film commenced in November 2024, but, the uncertainty remained over the release date to meet the deadline. Hyderabad, January 26 - Things are moving faster than expected for Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki - Part 2, which is the sequel to 1000+ crores grosser Kalki 2898 AD. Recently, producer Ashwini Dutt revealed the shooting plans of the movie, and now, director Nag Ashwin provides a crucial update on the same. ## In a recent interview, director Nag Ashwin revealed that the script work on Kalki 2 has been completed and the makers are waiting for the bulk dates of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan, who played the main roles in the film, to start shooting which is expected to commence in mid of this year. ## The blockbuster director also said that they are planning to release Kalki 2 towards the end of 2026 in cinemas worldwide, depending on the progress of the filming. It is to be noted that some parts of the film have already been shot with the first movie, as per the makers. ## Meanwhile, Prabhas already has a couple of movies in production in the form of The Raja Saab and Fauji. Mumbai, January 25 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's aerial action thriller Sky Force witnesses a huge jump of around 70% on its second day, after a decent first-day collection of over 12 crores net, thanks to the big discount on online ticket bookings. ## According to early estimates, Sky Force has minted 21-22 crores net collection on Saturday. This is a very good collection as it has been noticed that the discounted offer, which was available on the first day of the instant online bookings, was partially opened on the second day. ## The total collection of the film is around 33+ crores net after 2 days. The movie is expected to see a further jump on Sunday, which also happens to be Republic Day as opening weekend is looking to be around 60 crores net which is fantastic. ## It might not have been possible for Sky Force to score this much collection with regular ticket prices from the opening day. While the idea of having heavily discounted ticket prices is not a good long-term plan, it has worked in the favor of movies to bring the audience in large numbers and spread the word of mouth which is super positive. ## The second-day collection of the movie is an indication that it has managed to draw the attention of moviegoers but the real game begins on Monday. Mumbai, January 25 - Telugu veteran Venkatesh Daggubati's action comedy Sankranthiki Vasthunam has entered the 200 crores gross club at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film for the actor to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the Sankranthi blockbuster hit the double century on its 12th day which is one of the fastest non-Pan India Telugu titles to do so. The movie is having a super strong second weekend domestically and through Saturday, it has stormed past the box office milestone. ## In India, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has grossed approximately 172+ crores while overseas business is around 31 crores for the worldwide cume total of 203+ crores in 12 days. The blockbuster director shared a photo of a lion in jail and seizing the passport on social media. Mumbai, January 24 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's war action drama Sky Force has taken a good double-digit opening which is a rarity for the actor these days. The opening, however, is largely fueled by the highly discounted ticket prices, an uncommon strategy adopted to bring the audience to cinemas in large numbers. ## The strategy of giving massive discounts on tickets has expectedly worked in the favor of the movie as early estimates suggest opening in the range of 11-11.50 crores net collection. It might go higher which needs to be seen by tomorrow morning. The good thing is that the prices will continue to be low throughout the weekend, so a big jump is expected on Saturday followed by Sunday which is Republic Day. ## To have a practice of giving big discounts is not beneficial in the long run, but this move is working as of now, as word of mouth for the film is highly positive and due to higher audience turnaround, it is expected to spread faster and hopefully, will benefit the movie when normal rates come into effect.## Sky Force will certainly have a good weekend with these low ticket rates and will set the tone for possibly a good outing during weekdays. The Karan Arjun director doesn't want to compromise with the scale of the movie as he said that if he cut the budget, it would massively the storyline, something he doesn't want to do. He said that he would start Krrish 4 only after he gets the required budget and scale right. ## There have been rumours that Krrish 4 will bring back the character of Jaado and when asked about the same, Rakesh Roshan refused to reveal anything about the plot as of now. However, he is happy with the script and idea for the movie and promised to roll it out soon. ## Hrithik, meanwhile, has been shooting for the highly-awaited Pan India movie War 2, also starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Hyderabad, January 24 - Superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has had a dream run at the box office and has completed 50 days since its debut on December 5 last year. The Sukumar's directorial is closing in its box office journey but not before rewriting history. ## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the second part of the Pushpa series has grossed over 1736 crores worldwide, including over 1466 crores in India and over 270 crores at the overseas box office in 50 days so far and emerged as an all-time blockbuster. ## The film will finish as the third highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the worldwide box office, behind only Baahubali 2 (1790 crores approx.) and Dangal (2070 crores approx.). Pushpa 2 - The Rule headed to finish under 1750 crores worldwide with approximately 6.25 crores domestic footfalls.## In the dubbed Hindi version, however, from the record-breaking opening to breaching 100 crores gross single day mark to become the biggest Hindi grosser, the movie has shattered every record and set a new benchmark for the upcoming films.
