Mumbai, December 9 - The fourth instalment of producer Sajid Nadiadwala's blockbuster action thriller franchise Baaghi has begun with Tiger Shroff returning to reprise his role as Ronnie. The movie is directed by Kannada director A Harsha who has helmed some noteworthy Kannada titles. ## On Monday (December 9), the makers announced actor Sanjay Dutt on board to play the antagonist role in Baaghi 4 with the first look poster. The poster shows Dutt sitting on a chair with seemingly his head girlfriend or wife on his lap as the tagline reads - "Every Aashiq is a villain". ## By the look of the posters so far, it can be assumed that Baaghi 4 will be a high-octane action thriller about revenge and drama. The film's shoot has already commenced and will be released on September 5, 2025, worldwide. Mumbai, December 8 - This might be the biggest moment for the Hindi box office as Pushpa 2 - The Rule is threatening to pull off an imaginable record which might be a reality by tomorrow morning when the actual collection arrives. ## After scoring 70+ crores net day twice in the first three days, Pushpa 2 goes a step ahead to touch 80 crores net mark which is the first time in the history of Hindi cinema. According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 is expected to score in the range of 83-85 crores net on its first Sunday/fourth day, pushing the total Hindi collection to 280+ crores net in 4 days. ## If estimates hold, which is the high end, it will be a history that Hindi box office touches 100 crores gross mark for the first time in a single day. However, as said, the estimates are on the high end and it needs to be seen how strong offline shows have performed on the day which will be known by tomorrow morning.## Pushpa 2 has also shown a good jump in Telugu states as estimates suggest 37-38 crores gross, followed by 13-14 crores gross in Karnataka, and around 15 crores gross in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Overall, the film is expected to gross in the range of 160-170 crores on Sunday in all versions which is exceptional.## The total collection of Pushpa 2 is 620+ crores gross at the domestic box office after its 4-day opening weekend and this is an all-time record in India. Mumbai, December 8 - Allu Arjun's mega-blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD to score the biggest opening weekend for an Indian title of 2024 at the overseas box office while also claiming the biggest weekend ever for an Indian film globally. ## Pushpa 2 is estimated to score $19+ million (161+ crores gross) in its 4-day weekend, beating Kalki's $17.75 million (150+ crores gross) and it will most likely finish the year as the number 1 weekend grosser of the year which will be the first time in Allu Arjun's career.## Directed by Sukumar, the blockbuster has stormed the North American box office and scored an estimated $9.50 million during its extended opening weekend, including Wednesday previews. It is the second-biggest first weekend of 2024 in NA after Kalki which minted over $11 million in its first 4-day weekend. ## The worldwide box office collection of Pushpa 2 is close to 800 crores gross in the historic first weekend which is by far the biggest ever for an India title. Mumbai, December 8 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor's A-rated action drama Animal with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been one of the biggest Indian blockbusters. While the film was critically lauded, it drew sharp criticism from some people in the industry for the way characters were presented in a story that proved not to be a cup of tea for them. ## Meanwhile, a sequel titled Animal Park was confirmed by the makers and director Sandeep Vanga promised it would be more darker and brutal than the first part. However, the wait for the second part is going to be longer than expected, going by Ranbir Kapoor's words. ## The actor is currently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to attend the Red Sea International Film Festival and during his conversation with Deadline, Ranbir confirmed that Animal Park should start filming in 2027, which is about more than 2 years from now on. ## Ranbir also hinted at the third part of Animal as he said that director Vanga wants to make the film in three parts and the duo have been sharing ideas on how to take the story forward which can turn it into a 3-part franchise. Mumbai, December 7 - There is no stopping Pushpa 2 as it once again goes on overdrive on its first Saturday at the Hindi box office and is potentially looking at the biggest day since its release with over 70 crores net collection. ## The film is looking to beat Jawan's biggest single-day collection of 71.63 crores net which came on the first Sunday as early estimates suggest Pushpa 2's third day/first Saturday collection can rise to 73-75 crores which will be known by tomorrow morning. The total Hindi collection of the film is around 200 crores net in 3 days, and the weekend is expected to be around 270+ crores net.## In Telugu states, the movie sees a decent jump and is looking to score in the range of 30-35 crores gross on Saturday. In Tamil Nadu, Pushpa 2 comes close to the opening day figures as estimates suggest 10.50+ crores gross day, while there is a slight drop in Kerala with around 2.15 crores gross and in Karnataka, the film scores a good jump and is expected to collect in the range of 11 crores gross. ## Overall, Pushpa 2 is expected to gross in the range of 135-140 crores on its first Saturday which is a jump of over 20% from Friday. Chennai, December 7 - Tamil star Suriya's fantasy action drama film Kanguva failed to live up to expectations and turned out to be a big disaster at the box office. Far from the humongous claims, this Siva's directorial ended up under 110 crores gross worldwide as a massive disappointment. ## With not getting much at the box office, the makers have now announced the streaming release date of the film in South Indian versions in the hope of a turnaround. The South Indian versions - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on December 8. ## The theatrical window of the film is just 21 days which is the lowest for a Pan India movie and an indication of how badly the film performed at the box office. However, as has been seen in past movies, the box office disasters have also failed to generate viewership on OTT as well. ## The movie is produced by Studio Green in association with UV Creations.
