Chennai, November 29 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has a $500K+ opening day as total collection crossed $1 million (including premieres) at the China box office. This is the first Indian movie in recent times to cross this particular milestone in China. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja minted approximately 5.40 crores gross ($635K or ¥4.6 million) in the premieres. It had a full-fledged release on November 29 and the film grossed $550K+ (4.65 crores gross) on its first day, according to the local box office website, ENT Group. ## The total collection of Maharaja is $1.18 million (10 crores gross). The advances for tomorrow (Saturday) are good which should lead to another good day. The movie also touched 100K admissions on the first day with total footfalls are around 220K so far. ## Including the China collection, Maharaja has crossed 116 crores gross worldwide and depending on how films perform in the coming day there, the movie has a chance to achieve new milestones. Mumbai, November 29 - The biggest Indian film of the year, Pushpa 2 - The Rule is all set for a massive release across the world. Starring superstar Allu Arjun along with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, the action drama is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 5. ## During the press meeting of the film in Mumbai, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers said that Pushpa 2 will be released on over 12,000 screens worldwide, making it the biggest release for an Indian title. The film will also be released in IMAX and the producers confirmed that it will be the biggest IMAX release for an Indian film. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 - The Rule is in the last leg of the promotion which began with the trailer launch event in Patna amid the presence of lakhs of people on November 17. Chennai, November 29 - After the blockbuster success with this penultimate movie, The Greatest of All Time, Thalapathy Vijay is busy with the final film of his career before his political entry, Thalapathy 69, directed by H Vinoth. ## The shoot of T69, which also stars Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol, is progressing as the film is scheduled for Diwali 2025 release. Chennai, November 29 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's much-awaited action thriller Vidaamuyarchi unveiled the teaser on November 28 at 11:08 PM without the prior announcement. The teaser, which has no dialogue, looks stylish with action-packed visuals. ## Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi surprisingly has been confirmed for Pongal 2025 release though the exact date is yet to be revealed. Hyderabad, November 28 - Superstar Allu Arjun-fronted action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has been censored with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a few minor edits in the dialogue and some replacements.## Directed by Sukumar, the film's official runtime is 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), making it one of the longest Indian films and easily the longest of the year. The theatrical runtime of the film is close to Ranbir Kapoor's Animal which was 3 hours and 21 minutes long and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters at the box office. ## As said, the CBFC has asked the makers to make some changes or replace certain words to comply with the U/A certificate. It is revealed in the certificate that the word "r**ndi" has been replaced with Lapaki while a couple of violent scenes have also been modified. ## The censor reports are said to be highly positive which has increased the excitement among the audience further. Chennai, November 28 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja could be up for rich rewards at the China box office after the film off to an impressive start in the premieres there. The movie is scheduled for a full-fledged release on November 29. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja grossed approximately $630K (5.40 crores) in the premieres and sold approximately 118K tickets. The advance booking for the opening day is 100K with 18K tickets sold over 26.8K showings. ## There has been a shortage of Indian titles at the Chinese box office in recent times and those which got released during this period failed to make a mark. Chennai, November 28 - Superstar Rajinikanth made a roaring comeback at the box office with director Nelson Dilipkumar's action drama Jailer which grossed over 600 crores worldwide. Shortly after the mega success, the sequel of the movie was confirmed and is now gearing up to roll out soon. ## According to the latest reports, the look test of Rajinikanth for Jailer 2 happened recently and a promo shoot for the same will be done on December 5. It is reported that the film will be officially announced on the superstar's birthday on December 12 with the first look promo. ## Director Nelson Dilipkumar has reportedly completed the script work of Jailer 2 and the rest of the cast for the same is being finalized. Sun Pictures will produce this mega project which is easily one of the most anticipated Tamil films in the making.## The original film follows "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth), a retired jailer who decides to protect his family from idol smuggler Varman. Chennai, November 28 - Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan's romantic drama 96 has been one of the most loved Tamil movies in recent times, not just in the original version but also the dubbed versions have been widely appreciated. ## Released in 2018, the film was a box-office blockbuster and received for its heartwarming writing and performances by the lead pair. 96 was also remade in Telugu and Kannada with different titles and now, the news is that the sequel of the film is in development with the original cast and crew.## According to Venkatramanan, C. Mumbai, November 27 - Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama Chhaava has been postponed to February 2025. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, was supposed to hit the big screen on December 6 and was to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule before Maddock Films decided to shift the release. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Chhaava will now be released on February 14. The release date holds special significance since it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February. The movie is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and is based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal.## Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb along with others in key roles.## Meanwhile, the postponement of Chhaava to February 14, 2025, means Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde's action thriller Deva has been moved up by a couple of weeks. As the shoot commences, the looks of Ranbir and Alia leaked online while filming in Mumbai. ## In the leaked pictures, Ranbir Kapoor can be seen wearing a white shirt and black tie, sporting a vintage-style moustache and gelled pulled-back hair.
