Mumbai, November 14 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's next release is war action drama Sky Force. The film is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios. ## Sky Force was supposed to be released in October 2024 but was postponed to January 2025. Now, the film has been confirmed to hit the big screens during the Republic Day weekend next year and the trailer for the same will be out on Christmas this year. ## The film, also starring Sara Ali Khan, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur, is set against the backdrop of India's first-ever air strike on Pakistan. Mumbai, November 13 - Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy emerged as a big box office hit and became the 4th Bollywood film of 2024 to cross 200 crores net collection. The movie achieved this milestone on its second Monday (11th day). ## Directed by Anees Bazmee, BB3 scored 204 crores net until the second Monday which made it the 37th Bollywood movie and 41st film ever in Hindi to breach the 200 crores net mark. It was released in a clash with Ajay Devgn's Singham Again which topped double century in 10 days. ## BB3 is the maiden film of Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya, and Madhuri Dixit as well as for director Bazmee to enter the 200 crore net club. For Kartik and Bazmee, their previous biggest net grosser was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which minted approximately 184 crores net collection in 2022. ## Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, BB3 is the instalment in the blockbuster horror-comedy franchise and the second for Kartik after BB2. Mumbai, November 13 - Actor Vicky Kaushal has been in top form lately with back-to-back box-office successes. The biggest hit for the actor in recent times was the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke with producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. This film opened the door for more collaboration between the two. ## After ZHZB, Vicky reunited with Vijan for a historical film titled Chhaava. The movie is scheduled to be released early next year and it is said the producer is confident that it will deliver big at the box office. Meanwhile, Chhaava is not the only film between the two creative forces as the actor has signed his third film with the studio.## On Wednesday (November 13), Maddock announced that the Sam Bahadur star will headline an epic historical film, titled Mahavatar. The actor has already signed the dotted lines and will start preparation for the same after completing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic Love & War. ## Mahavatar is set against the backdrop of Ramayana and is about one of the most pivotal characters of the epic, Lord Parshuram. The film is undoubtedly the most ambitious one for both Maddock and Vicky Kaushal. The film requires 6 to 8 months plus of prep before going on floors, and that begins in 2025. ## Parashurama is the sixth avatar among the Dashavatara of the god Vishnu. He is one of the Chiranjivis (Immortals), who will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga to be the guru of Vishnu's tenth and last incarnation, Kalki. ## The movie will be directed by Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik and will hit the big screens on Christmas 2026. Meanwhile, Vicky is gearing up to commence the filming of Love and War which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It is easily one of the most anticipated films with an A-lister cast and crew. Mumbai, November 12 - Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone along with a cameo of Salman Khan, is one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema with over 1000 crores collection at the worldwide box office. ## Apart from the film's historic box office performance, the Sidharth Anand's directorial was the first movie since the iconic Karan Arjun (1995) when SRK and Salman Khan reunited on the big screen and that was one biggest highlights of the film, especially end-credit scene which went viral. ## In that scene, King Khan's character interacts with Salman's Tiger after the latter saves him, "Hume hi karna padega bhai, desh ka sawaal hai, baccho pe nahi chood sakte". Mumbai, November 12 - Ajay Devgn-fronted Singham Again became the third Bollywood movie of 2024 to surpass 200 crores net collection on its second Sunday (10th day) after Fighter and Stree 2, and third Hindi film after Kalki 2898 AD. ## The Rohit Shetty's directorial venture minted approximately 207 crores net until the second Sunday which made it the 36th Bollywood movie and 40th film ever in Hindi to breach the 200 crores net mark. The last movie to score this milestone was the mega-blockbuster Stree 2 in August this year. ## Singham 3 is the fourth film of Ajay Devgn after Tanhaji, Drishyam 2, and Golmaal Again, and 4th including RRR (extended role) to enter 200 crores net box office club. Chennai, November 12 - Tamil star Suriya's fantasy action drama film Kanguva is finally hitting the big screens this Thursday, November 14, as the anticipation soaring with release getting nearer. Directed by Siva, the movie has managed to generate good buzz with a superb promotional campaign. ## Recently, the makers announced that Kanguva would be released on over 10K screens worldwide, making it the widest release for a Tamil title. However, it may face a significant challenge, especially in the home state, Tamil Nadu due to fellow Tamil movie Amaran starring Sivakarthikeyan. ## Amaran was released during Diwali weekend and in just 12 days, it has surpassed 250 crores collection, at the worldwide box office, including 120+ crores gross in Tamil Nadu and emerged as a huge blockbuster. This dominance is causing trouble for Kanguva in securing enough screens in Tamil Nadu. ## It was assumed that the Suriya-starrer would be released on over 800 screens in Tamil Nadu, however, the latest development indicates that the movie will get only 50% of available screens due to Amaran which is performing exceptionally well in the state and is set to retain a good number of screens after Kanguva release. ## It hasn't been smooth sailing for Kanguva so far. The movie was supposed to be released on October 10 but was forced to postpone due to superstar Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan which eventually turned into a flop venture. And a month later, things haven't improved much for this particular film though the reason this time is fortunately solid. ## Amaran being a dominant force at the box office deserves to retain a good number of screens, at least, for a month and so does Kanguva which has let go of a lucrative box office slot for another movie. Chennai, November 11 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan's biographical war action drama film Amaran is doing wonders at the box office and is marching towards 300 crores worldwide. The movie has exceeded expectations and is now the second-biggest Tamil grosser of 2024. ## Since the movie is performing exceptionally well, it is learned that its OTT release date is set to be extended by a week and it will now arrive digitally after 5 weeks (35 days). Netflix is reportedly the post-theatrical OTT partner in all languages. ## It is said that just like other Tamil films, Amaran was originally supposed to start streaming after 4 weeks (28 days) and this is probably the first instance of a Tamil title that the theatrical window being extended in recent times, but the question arises whether the extension is good enough. ## Post the Covid-19 pandemic, South Indian films, especially Tamil and Telugu, have been restricted to the 4-week theatrical window, a practice which has received criticism from theatre owners. However, Telugu films which turned box big box office successes got a 2-3 weeks extension in the theatrical window, something the Tamil industry failed to secure. ## Amaran, which has crossed 250 crores worldwide in just 12 days, getting one more week to extend its dominance at the box office is a welcome move and this needs to become a regular practice with further extension for all the films for the larger benefit of the industry. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, November 11 - Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has crossed 200 crores net collection after a decent hold on its second Monday. It has become the first movie of the actor to breach the milestone. ## According to the early estimates, the Anees Bazmee's directorial movie scored an estimated 5-5.50 crores net collection on its second Monday (11th day), dropping around 70% from the first Monday. This pushes the total cume to around 204 crores net which is fantastic. ## The second full week of BB3 is probably heading for around 55+ crores net which will take its total collection to around 213+ crores net before Suriya's Kanguva arrives on November 14 which is expected to get a good number of screens. It needs to be seen how much it will affect the holdover. ## Ajay Devgn's cop action drama Singham Again surpassed the 200 crores net mark on its second Sunday and held decently on Monday for an estimated 4-4.50+ crores net, dropping around 75% from the first Monday. This takes the total collection to around 211 crores net in 11 days. ## Singham 3 is expected to score 46-47 crores net second weekend, and it will be interesting to see how to perform there once the completion increases. It was a big box office success for Disney, grossing around $700 million globally, and now, the film is doing wonders on streaming also. ## Ahead of the release of Moana 2 on November 27, a recent report by Bloomberg revealed that Moana is the most streamed movie on Disney+ since the platform was first launched in November 2019. According to the report, Moana is not only the most streamed title from Disney, but it's also one of the most popular films on any platform. ## Since Disney+ debuted in 2019, Moana has been one of the four most-watched movies on the streamer, with over 80 billion minutes watched by the growing fanbase of the franchise. In other words, the 80 billion viewing minutes are equivalent to seeing the picture 748 million times, and that is staggering.## The massive viewership of Moana is attributed to the growing popularity of the film among kids who are the primary audience of the franchise. Mumbai, November 10 - Director Rohit Shetty's cop action drama Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn surpassed the 200 crores net mark after a decent second weekend domestically with around 34 crores net collection, dropping 70% from the first weekend. ## According to the early estimates, the movie scored 13-13.50 crores net collection on its second Sunday, dropping around 60% from the first Sunday and a jump of approximately 10% from the previous day. This pushes the total collection of the film to around 206.50 crores net in 10 days. ## Singham 3 needs to hold well in the coming day to go past 250 crores net mark which will be a good result for the movie that got mixed word of mouth and clashed with a biggie like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is performing superbly. ## The Kartik Aaryan-fronted horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has a good second weekend with around 41 crores net collection (-61% from the first weekend) after an estimated 16-17 crores net collection on the second Sunday. The second Sunday collection of the film is in the touching distance with 200 crores net (199.50 crores net) after the second weekend. ## This is the first movie of Kartik to enter the 200 crores net club (subject to official collection).
