Mumbai, September 17 - Superstar Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan and late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor are set to make their big screen debut with the untitled romantic comedy which is said to be the Hindi remake of Love Today, one of the biggest Tamil hits of 2022. ## The film, directed by Advait Chandan, has been confirmed to hit the big screens on February 7, 2025. It is produced by Phantom Studios in association with AGS Entertainment which also produced the original movie. ## While the official title is yet not announced, it is said that the movie has been titled Loveyapa, named after a term that can be used to describe the combination of love and siyappa. Mumbai, September 17 - The Sunny Deol-fronted epic war movie Border 2 recently confirmed actors Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh on board to play the pivotal roles. The hugely-anticipated sequel will be directed by Anurag Singh and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and JP Dutta joining hands to produce it. ## The pre-production work on Border 2 has been going on for the last year and now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, the movie is set to start rolling by November 25. It is said that director Anurag Singh and his team are all set to start the recce for the film within a week, and the first two locations they have zeroed down on are Jammu and Srinagar. ## The movie will be shot in real locations in and around the special armed forces areas near the borders of India to give a rustic feel to the film. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make a high-octane and at the same time, an authentic war movie that can make the audience proud and celebrate the legacy of the first movie. ## Border 2 will be shot over 6 months till May 2025 as the movie announced for January 23, 2026, release during the Republic Day weekend. Mumbai, September 17 - James Cameron has been busy with the epic sci-fi Avatar franchise since 1997 and is currently directing the third instalment of this blockbuster franchise which is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 20, 2025. ## While there are, at least, two more Avatar films after Avatar 3, Cameron has set his next directorial project other than Avatar. According to Variety, the maverick filmmaker has purchased the rights to Charles Pellegrino's book "Ghosts of Hiroshima", which will be published by Blackstone Publishing in August 2025.## Cameron will combine and adapt Ghosts and Pellegrino's 2015 book Last Train From Hiroshima into a single film, which he will shoot when Avatar production allows. ## The filmmaker's new film will be titled, Last Train from Hiroshima which will tell the true story of a Japanese man during World War II who survived two atomic bombings: after living through the explosion in Hiroshima, he took a train to Nagasaki, enduring another blast there. ## It will be Cameron's first non-Avatar movie in more than 2 and a half decades as a director since he directed Titanic in 1997. Before Titanic, which is the 4th highest-grossing film of all time, Cameron directed six movies after making his directorial debut in 1982 with Piranha II: The Spawning. ## Cameron has been a box office monster as his last three directed films went on to gross over $2 billion each globally and are currently among the 4 highest-grossing movies of all time with Avatar being the biggest grosser ($2.92 billion). Chennai, September 17 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller The Greatest of All Time has topped 400 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming the first Tamil movie of 2024 and the 6th overall to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The GOAT surpassed the box office milestone on its 12th day after scoring another approximately 10 crores gross on its 2nd Monday which took its total worldwide cume to around 407 crores. It is the second highest-grossing film of Vijay after Leo (606 crores gross).## The GOAT has grossed approximately 258 crores at the domestic box office, including approx. 185 crores gross collection in Tamil Nadu. In the next couple of days, the movie will enter the 200 crores club in the home state and will become only the third movie ever to breach the milestone after Ponniyin Selvan 1 and Leo. ## Overseas, the movie has scored approximately 150 crores in 12 days, becoming only the second movie Vijay to reach this figure after Leo which grossed 204 crores internationally which is also the highest ever for a Tamil title, ahead of superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer (196 crores). ## As said, The GOAT is the 6th Tamil movie ever after 2.0 (745 crores), Leo (606 crores), Jailer (604.50 crores), Ponniyin Selvan 1 (488 crores), and Vikram (414.50 crores) to cross the 400 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, September 17 - The folk horror thriller Tumbbad is heading towards emerging as a big success story in its re-release run at the domestic box office after not getting much return in its original run 6 years ago despite the critical acclaim.## Upon re-release on September 13, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film had a very good opening weekend with approximately 7.25 crores net which is almost 225% more than the film's original run first-weekend collection of 3.25 crores net.## The superb weekend almost ensured that the film would do well during the weekdays and come the first Monday, it performed better than expected to score higher collection than the first day (Friday). On its 4th day, Tumbbad scored approximately 1.75 crores net collection, around a 40% drop from Sunday and a 10% jump from Friday. ## The movie's total collection after 4 days is approximately 9 crores net and is now just 4.50 crores away from outgrossing its lifetime original run collection of 13.50 crores net. Looking at the trend, Tumbbad re-release is expected to do around its original lifetime business in the first week. ## Tumbbad was a box office flop when it was released in 2018 but after 6 years, it is having a verdict-changing re-release run. It will be interesting to see how far it can go, as a longer run will boost the box office prospects of its sequel which was announced on Saturday (September 14).## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, September 16 - Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to commence the shoot of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal-fronted Love and War this October while the movie is scheduled for March 20, 2026, release. ## Love & War is easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies and is attracting eyeballs with its phenomenal casting. Now, ahead of the shoot commencement, SLB has locked non-theatrical deals for this epic tale of romance set against the backdrop of war. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, SLB will be funding the movie apart from directing it despite the lucrative offers from studios. It is said that the production cost is expected to be around 200 crores (excluding talent fees) which will be funded by Bhansali. ## The maverick filmmaker has signed a post-theatrical streaming deal with Netflix with some terms and conditions. The report states that the base price for the deal with Netflix is Rs 130 crore, with the scope to go bigger depending on the box-office performance. ## Apart from streaming, SLB has sold music rights to Saregama for 35 crores, whereas the talks are going on for a satellite deal with a leading network in the vicinity of Rs 50 crore. Chennai, September 16 - Tamil star Ajith Kumar has two films in the pipeline in the form of action thriller Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni and an action comedy Good Bad Ugly with director Adhik Ravichandran. ## As already announced, Good Bad Ugly is eyeing the Pongal 2025 release, however, there might be some changes regarding the same. During the SIIMA awards ceremony, actor Arjun Sarja shared that Vidaa Muyarchi will be released in December 2024.## Arjun, who is playing a prominent role in this Lyca Productions venture, said that he has completed the climax fight scene and the makers will be releasing the film in 2-3 months around December this year. Earlier, the movie was supposed to hit the big screen during Diwali weekend. ## With Vidaa Muyarchi now eyeing a December release, Good Bad Ugly will certainly be moved back from the Pongal release. There is already a buzz in the industry that Good Bad Ugly will arrive during the Summer of 2025. The official confirmation, however, is yet to be made. ## Vidaamurarchi is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. Mumbai, September 16 - It has been more than a decade since Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3 was released and despite the official announcement of the next instalment many moons back, there hasn't been any progress towards the same. ## Over the last few months, the chatter around Dhoom 4 has been making rounds on social media and there is a buzz that YRF has sped up things regarding the same. It is said that Aditya Chopra is actively working alongside Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Sridhar Raghavan to bring the film sooner than later.## Meanwhile, a new rumour has emerged regarding the casting of the film while we still await the official words from the studio. According to the Deccan Herald, YRF has approached Tamil star Suriya to play the baddie in the fourth instalment of the blockbuster action thriller franchise. ## "Makers did approach the star for a role and the negotiations are ongoing but remain in the early stages. It's too soon to confirm anything as Suriya sir is currently tied up with other commitments and fans will hear an official announcement when any progress happens", says the report.## The first three Dhoom films were headlined by a Bollywood cast where John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan played the anti-hero roles, respectively. Mumbai, September 16 - As the re-release trend is picking up in Bollywood, the nostalgia factor is bringing the audience to the theatres to revisit some of the evergreen hits. Amid the success of a few re-releases, Yash Raj Film's Veer-Zaara returned to the big screen and scored well in the opening weekend. ## The 20-year-old epic romantic drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji, was re-released on September 13 on over 300 shows, which jumped to over 400 shows on Sunday after the positive response at the box office. ## The Yash Chopra's superhit directorial scored approximately 25 lakh gross collection on its opening day upon re-release. The movie witnessed an upward trend on the second day to score approximately 40 lakh gross, followed by another 45+ lakh on Sunday, for approximately 1.10+ crore gross (95 lakh net) opening weekend. ## Earlier in the year, Veer-Zaara had occasional re-releases on limited shows where it grossed approximately 40 lakh collection, and including the latest re-release, the movie has grossed around 1.50 crores this year (1.30 crores net). ## Veer-Zaara was a super hit at the box office in its original run with approximately 97 crores worldwide gross collection. After the re-release this year, the total collection is now around 98.50 crores. Mumbai, September 16 - There is no stopping horror-comedy blockbuster Stree 2 which is racing towards the ultimate glory of becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office by crossing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. ## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao once again created history by scoring the biggest 5th weekend with approximately 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. Previously, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike had the biggest 5th weekend with 12.50 crores net. ## Interestingly, URI's 5th-weekend collection was higher than the full 5th-week collection of the rest of the movies, including Baahubali 2 (11.78 crores net), Tanhaji (10.41 crores), and KGF 2 (10.25 crores). Stree 2 has topped them all and will also become the highest fifth-week grosser of all time in Hindi by crossing URI (18.75 crores net).## Stree 2 has become only the second film ever to cross 550 crores net collection in Hindi. At the end of the 5th weekend, the mega-blockbuster sequel is standing at approximately 555 crores net and is now just 27 crores away from topping Jawan (582 crores net) to become the biggest Hindi grosser ever. ## Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is showing a phenomenal hold in collections all across the board and this should lead it to cross Jawan by the next week. Mumbai, September 15 - Director Rahi Anil Barve's folk horror thriller Tumbbad scored a fantastic first weekend at the domestic box office upon its re-release. The movie surpasses expectations to earn more than 2X of the original run opening weekend collection. ## Tumbbad scored approximately 1.60 crores net collection on its first day of re-release, followed by 2.60 crores net on the second day with a good jump of 62.50%. The movie breached the 3 crore mark on Sunday as it scored approximately 3 crore to conclude the opening weekend on a high note. ## The re-release opening weekend collection of the film is close to 7.25 crores net and is now just 6 crores away from outgrossing the lifetime collection of its original run. Tumbbad is expected to do well during the weekdays as word-of-mouth is growing. ## There haven't been many Bollywood films which performed well after getting re-released. This year, Rockstar and Laila Majnu did well and grossed over 10 crores each upon re-release. Mumbai, September 15 - Amid the superb response to the Tumbbad re-release, Tripti Dimri and Avinash Tiwary's romantic drama Laila Majnu, which was re-released more than a month ago, is still doing a decent business.## Directed by Sajid Ali, the heartbreaking romance drama makes a successful return to the big screen after 6 years. While it largely went unnoticed in its original run back in 2018, the re-release has already earned more than 3X of its original collection of 3.25 crores gross (2.70 crores net).## Laila Majnu is currently in the 6th week of its re-release run and in 38 days so far, it has grossed approximately 10.50 crores. It is the second Bollywood re-release to cross 10 crores gross collection domestically this year. ## The movie was re-released on September 9, ahead of the Independence Day biggies and scored approximately 4.75 crores gross collection (4.10 crores net) in the first week.
