Mumbai, August 18 - Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is basking on the glorious success of horror-comedy Stree 2 which rewriting box office history with the phenomenal collection. While this Maddock Films' production venture is going bonkers, there is another potential blockbuster reportedly in the pipeline for the actress. ## According to the report by Times Now, Shraddha Kapoor is set to play the female lead role alongside Hrithik Roshan in the highly-anticipated superhero movie Krrish 4. It is reported that the actress has been in talks for a long time to come on board the film and things are finally falling into place.## Krrish 4 has been on hold for a long time but now it is expected to start rolling next year after Hrithik completes shooting for War 2. Reportedly, Agneepath director Karan Malhotra will direct the 4th instalment of the superhero film franchise while Rakesh Roshan is writing the script. ## Shraddha Kapoor, meanwhile, hasn't officially announced her next film yet. Mumbai, August 18 - Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe is set to have its first female-led movie, titled Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in the leading roles. The shoot of the movie has already commenced and it is being directed by The Railway Men fame Shiv Rawail. ## According to the report by Dainik Bhaskar, Hrithik Roshan's character of RAW agent Kabir will also be seen in Alpha and he will play the role of Alia Bhatt's mentor. Hrithik is also shooting for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukherji, with Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. ## While War 2, which is also a part of YRF's Spy Universe, is scheduled to be released on August 14, 2025, it is not yet clear when will Alpha hit the big screen. War 2, however, is expected to be the next film in the Spy Universe as indicated in the post-credit scene of Tiger 3, released last year.## Meanwhile, the shoot of War 2 is reportedly delayed due to the on-set injury of Jr. NTR who is making his Bollywood debut with this biggie. The filming is now expected to resume in September in Italy where the team will shoot some song sequences. ## Jr. NTR, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of long-awaited Devara: Part 1 which is slated to hit the big screens on September 27. Chennai, August 18 - Superstar Rajinikanth's highly-anticipated action drama Vettaiyan with director T. J. Gnanavel is getting ready to clash with another hugely-awaited film Kanguva, starring Tamil star Suriya, this October. ## It has been reported by Tamil media that Vettaiyan will be hitting theatres worldwide on October 10 and now, the makers have officially confirmed the same. This has confirmed the clash with Kanguva which is already slated for the same-day release in multiple languages.## Produced by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan was reportedly aiming Diwali 2024 release and the producer of Kanguva also said the same which made him slot his movie in the Dussehra weekend during a recent interview. Mumbai, August 17 - Amid the struggle of other films, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy Stree 2 is turning out to be an unstoppable force at the box office, already one of the biggest grossers for the talent involved. ## After the sensational first 2 days, the Amar Kaushik's directorial blockbuster scored a huge first Saturday, crossing the 40 crores net mark for the second time in its short run so far. According to the early estimates, Stree 2 scored in the range of 43-45 crores net collection on its third day. ## The film's total collection after three days (including previews) is around 135 crores net, which already makes it the 3rd biggest Bollywood grosser of the year. Stree 2 is expected to breach the 50 crores net mark on Sunday and then follow it with a rocking collection on Monday which is the national holiday due to Raksha Bandhan. ## Considering the trend, Stree 2 is expected to score 215+ crores net over the 5-day opening weekend. Chennai, August 17 - The wait is over as Thalapathy Vijay's much-anticipated trailer of the sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All-Time (The GOAT) trailer has been released ahead of the September 5 release of the movie.## Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the GOAT trailer takes Vijay into a new territory where is playing the role of an agent at the Special Anti Terrorism Squad (SATS). The trailer shows the actor fighting the baddies everywhere - inside a train, in the air, and on water, while at the same time, saving the nation.## Vijay is playing a dual role in the movie as a father and son. Kochi, August 17 - Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's long-awaited fantasy film Barroz has once again been postponed from September 12 and is now to be released on October 3rd during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. ## Directed and headlined by Mohanlal, the movie is based on the novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure by Jijo Punnoose. On Saturday (August 17), Mohanlal took to social media to announce the new release date. It will be the actor's next release since Malaikottai Vaaliban in January this year.## Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Barroz has been in the making since 2021. The movie was initially planned for a March 2023 release before it was postponed to Onam 2023. However, due to the delay in the post-production work, it was again postponed to March 2024, and then to September 2024 release, and will not hit theaters in October.## In the movie, Barroz, a treasure guardian (played by Mohanlal) has been protecting Vasco da Gama's hidden treasure for 400 years and has been entrusted to hand over the wealth only to a true descendant of da Gama. Mumbai, August 17 - Maddock Films and Jio Studios' horror-comedy Stree 2 has topped the 100 crores net collection and become the fastest Bollywood movie of 2024 to achieve the feat, reaching the milestone in less than 3 days.## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the blockbuster sequel scored approximately 91.70 crores net in the first 2 days, including previews. On its third day (first Saturday), it scored an estimated 43+ crores net and with that, the movie has crossed the 100 crore mark, becoming the 4th Bollywood movie and 10th Indian movie of the year to do so.## Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the 7th film of Shraddha Kapoor and the second for Rajkummar Rao (after Stree) to top 100 crores net collection. For director Amar Kaushik, it is his 3rd 100 crores net scorer after Stree and Bala. Bengaluru, August 17 - The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) announced the winners of the 70th National Film Awards at the National Media Center in New Delhi on Friday (August 16), to honour feature and non-feature films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. ## Among the big winners, Kannada production house Hombale Films scored 4 National Awards wins. Chennai, August 17 - Tamil star Dhanush's action thriller Raayan is all set to premiere digitally after the record-breaking box office performance. The movie is written, directed, and stars Dhanush in the leading role alongside Sundeep Kishan, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayaram, and Dushara Vijayan, among others.## Released on July 26, the A-rated blockbuster is the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024 so far with a worldwide box office collection of around 152 crores gross.
