Los Angeles, April 19 - Zack Snyder's epic space opera Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver is getting ripped apart by critics as far as the initial response is concerned, just like the first part. ## After the disastrous response to the first movie, Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire, critics are calling its sequel even worse in terms of story as early reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are the worst ever for Zack Snyder's directorial. ## Rebel Moon - Part 2 started streaming on Netflix on April 19 and the current critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes is just 18% of 61 reviews. If the initial response stays (which is very likely), it is another shocker for Snyder who is planning to make four more films in the same franchise. ## It is to be noted that Rebel Moon - A Child of Fire was also slammed by critics as its Rotten Tomatoes score is just 21% from 173 reviews. The audience score too was on the average side with 57% from over 5000 ratings. ## The film takes place on the moon of Veldt where Kora and the crew of warriors venture to help the farmers to defend and fight for their home against the Motherworld. Mumbai, April 19 - Yami Gautam-fronted political thriller Article 370 has completed its box office journey with a worldwide collection of over 100 crores gross, turning out to be a bonafide success. ## Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 was released on February 23 with favourable critics' reviews and audience word of mouth. It took a good opening of around 6 crores net, followed by the opening week of around 35.50 crores net. ## After the good first week, the movie showed a stronghold in the second week with a drop of just 37% for 22.30 crores net and it continued to show the same trend over the next few weeks despite the arrival of new films. The movie managed to go past 75 crores net which is a very good result. ## Overseas, Article 370 was decent with around 12.50 crores gross collection, for a worldwide total of around 105 crores. The movie is currently the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood title of the year at the worldwide box office. Mumbai, April 19 - It was a super low turnaround at the box office on Eid 2024 as both tentpole films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, bombed without making much noise. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan received a positive reception from critics as well as from audiences, however, it was all doom and gloom at the box office for the movie. In its extended 8-day first week, the movie scored low approximately 28.35 crores net. ## Overseas, Maidaan remained poor with an estimated 7 crores gross collection, for around 40.50 crores worldwide total. Just like BMCM, Maidaan also turned out to be one of the biggest Bollywood box office failures featuring top stars of the country with high costs involved in the films. ## With nothing much left in the tank, Maidaan is heading towards finishing below 60 crores gross at the worldwide box office which will make it Ajay Devgn's third lowest grosser after Thank God and Runway 34 since the covid-19 pandemic. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 19 - Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-fronted Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has had a disappointing first-week collection at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. Despite the Eid release and strong cast and crew, the movie failed to cash in on the opportunity. ## Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the action thriller scored a little under 50 crores net collection in all versions, including an estimated 49.25 crores in Hindi in the extended 8-day first week. Ideally, for a film like BMCM, this should have been a 2-day collection. ## At the overseas box office, BMCM was released through Yash Raj Films but the response was underwhelming as it scored an estimated 27 crores in the first week. Adding to the domestic gross collection of approximately 59.50 crores, the movie grossed 86.50 crores worldwide which is a very poor total. ## BMCM is heading for a finish under 125 crores worldwide against a budget of over 300 crores, turning into a big failure at the box office. Hyderabad, April 18 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has already turned into a massive profitable venture even before its release as the makers are fetching unheard theatrical and non-theatrical deals for this action drama. ## Recently, it was revealed that the Hindi theatrical rights of the film have been sold at a huge 200 crores in advance to AA Films. Earlier, Netflix had announced digital rights to the movie, now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the streamer has paid a bombastic amount for the same. ## It is said that Pushpa 2's digital rights sold to Netflix for an earth-shattering base price of Rs 250 crore, which can extend to Rs 300 crore for all languages. It is an all-time record streaming deal for all languages, surpassing the previous best, SS Rajamouli's RRR (170 crores) by a margin of approx. Rs 100 crore. ## The streaming deal of Pushpa 2 with Netflix is variable and is based on the box office performance. While the base price is 250 crores, it can be extended to 300 crores depending on how the film performs at the box office. ## Directed by Sukumar, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun in the title role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, among others in key roles. Besides tier-1 heroes' films, Christmas 2024 is setting up to see a three-way clash between two Tollywood films and a Hollywood blockbuster. ## Earlier in the day (April 17), it was officially announced that Nithiin's adventures entertainer Nithiin with director Venky Kudumula would be hitting worldwide theatres on December 20 this year.
