Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be celebrating his 60th birthday on March 14 and on the evening of it, he addressed the media at his residence and shared updates regarding his future projects, including the next release Sitaare Zameen Par.## When asked about the film, Aamir confirmed that this R. S. Prasanna's directorial is the sequel to his 2007 drama, Taare Zameen Par and the official release date of it will be announced tomorrow, i.e. on his birthday. It is produced by produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions.## Meanwhile, according to the report by Pinkvilla, SZP's final edit is on the verge of being locked and it will hit the big screens in June 2025. Aamir Khan has been passionately working on this slice-of-life sports comedy-drama and is confident that it will win over audiences and work big at the box office.## The makers are also working on the teaser and trailer and they will start promotion during the IPL 2025 season. Kochi, March 13 - One of the biggest Malayalam films, superstar Mohanlal-fronted action drama Empuraan is announced for March 27 release in multiple languages but it might get postponed to the new date due to the internal tussle. ## The release of the film is in only 2 weeks but the makers are yet to drop the trailer or any other promotional content. Over the last few weeks, it has been reported that there has been a dispute between Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas for the distribution and business of the movie and the latest development indicates the same. ## According to Forum Keralam, Aashirvad Cinemas wants Lyca to exit the movie but the latter, despite showing a willingness to part ways, is not ready to do the same on the former's term. It is said that Lyca wants its partner studio to settle its investment of approximately 75 crores, plus an additional 10 crores. ## There have been multiple discussions regarding the matter but things are not moving toward an amicable solution. If the matter gets prolonged, Empuraan may be postponed to the new release which looks likely given the fact that there will be limited time left for the promotion of the movie across the country.## Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran who also plays a key role in the movie, is the second instalment in a planned trilogy and is a follow-up to the 2019 film Lucifer. Mumbai, March 13 - Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor has teased the announcement of Brahmastra Part Two — Dev soon. It is the sequel to Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva and is the second instalment of a planned trilogy, which is itself planned to be part of a cinematic universe titled Āstraverse. ## Director Ayan Mukerji confirmed the second part was supposed to start immediately after the first film which was released in 2022. However, the filmmaker decided to re-work the script which delayed its production and in-between, he took up Yash Raj Films' highly-awaited spy action thriller War 2 which is slated to release in August this year. ## Since there was no development taking place regarding Brahmastra 2, rumours about its cancellation started spreading until recently when Ranbir himself cleared the air on this mega project. The actor along with his wife Alia Bhatt conducted a meet-and-greet session with the media in Mumbai recently where they spoke about their future project .## When asked about this epic fantasy action-adventure film, Ranbir confirmed that Ayan Mukerji will start pre-production work on it after War 2. Hyderabad, March 13 — Tamil director Atlee is next teaming up with superstar Allu Arjun after his collaboration with superstar Salman Khan didn't materialize for various reasons. It is a mega-budgeted epic film which reportedly demands a budget of over 600 crores. ## Tamil production house Sun Pictures was on board to bankroll this hugely-anticipated collaboration but it seems things are not moving as per the wish of director Atlee. It is said that the filmmaker is demanding 100 crores in remuneration for the movie and this is reportedly not working in his favour.## According to the latest rumours in Tamil media, Sun Pictures is hesitating and is likely to back out from producing this project. If the studio doesn't bankroll it, then there are reports that producer Dil Raju might take this up which is not yet confirmed.## Additionally, there were reports that Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan would join this massive Pan India project, however, Allu Arjun is reportedly not ready to be a part of a multistarrer in any form, be it an extended cameo or in a full-length role.## The report about AA not willing to headline a 2-hero film might lead director Atlee to revisit the story and if this happens, then the project will be further delayed. Mumbai, March 12 - The anticipation for the third instalment of the iconic comedy franchise Here Pheri is at an all-time high. The movie was recently officially confirmed with the announcement that director Priyadarshan would return to helm it. ## Here, Pheri 3 will see the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal reuniting along with most of the original cast. Hyderabad, March 11 - Maverick director SS Rajamouli's hugely anticipated film with superstar Mahesh Babu has recently commenced filming in Hyderabad. The film has India's international star Priyanka Chopra as the female lead while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist. ## As reported earlier, SSMB29 is a jungle adventure epic which will reportedly be made in two parts on a budget of 1000 crores. Now, a key detail regarding the plot of the film has emerged which indicates the roots of it in Indian history. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, the core premise of SSMB29 is set against the backdrop of Kashi which leads to an unforgettable adventure in the present. Chennai, March 10 - Superstar Rajinikanth's action drama Coolie is one of the most anticipated Indian movies of the year. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, reportedly has the cameo role of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan so there is anticipation for it among the Hindi audiences as well. ## Meanwhile, according to the latest Tamil media reports, the teaser of Coolie is getting ready to be released this week. It is said that the makers will unveil an action-packed teaser of the film on director Lokesh's birthday on March 14, and the official announcement is expected in a day or two.## Coolie, produced by industry giant Sun Pictures, was initially scheduled to hit the screens in May or June this year but it has reportedly been postponed to August 14, 2025. Mumbai, March 10 - Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the re-release of Academy Award-winning film Dune: Part 2 in India. The Denis Villeneuve's directorial sci-fi epic won the Best Sound and the Best Visual Effects Oscars at the 97th Academy Awards held recently. ## On Monday (March 10), the studio took to social media to announce that Dune 2 will re-release in Indian cinemas on March 14, also in IMAX. It will be a limited release for only 7 days, just like the studio's recently re-release title, Interstellar.## Originally released in March 2024, Dune 2 did decently at the Indian box office with a gross collection of 36+ crores ($4.10+ million). It was still among the top Hollywood grossers of the year in the country. It needs to be seen if it can cross 50 crores mark after the re-release.## Meanwhile, there are reports that Warner Bros. will also bring Interstellar back to Indian cinemas on March 14. It was a success in its recent repeat run with over 20 crores gross collection but due to the limited run of 7 days, fans have been asking for another round. Chennai, March 10 - The hugely-anticipated action drama Jailer 2 starring superstar Rajinikanth has commenced filming today. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, the movie was recently announced with a promo teaser, generating huge hype. ## Sequel to the mega-blockbuster Jailer (2023) - the shoot of Jailer 2 is said to have begun in Chennai. The first schedule is reportedly around 15 days and superstar Rajinikanth will join it soon. As the stakes are high and the hype is on the next level, the movie will be mounted on a scale and budget bigger than the first film. ## The makers haven't confirmed the remaining cast yet but it is said that most of the original cast will return to reprise their roles in the sequel.
