Mumbai, June 14 - Director Rohit Shetty and Bollywood star Ajay Devgn have locked the Diwali 2024 release date for his highly-awaited action drama Singham Again after postponing it from Independence Day weekend. The makers announced the new date a day after Ajay Devgn confirmed the movie wouldn't make it to the August 15 deadline. ## Produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez with Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Devgn Films, Singham Again was supposed to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule on this Independence Day weekend but now both movies have been pushed back, however, new release date of Pushpa 2 is not yet locked. ## Singham 3 will now clash with Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which is already scheduled for Diwali release. It is the fifth instalment of Shetty's Cop Universe and a sequel to Singham Returns (2014). ## The movie stars Ajay Devgn in the title role alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff. Mumbai, June 13 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy Munjya ends the opening week with a fantastic collection of over 35 crores net after the miraculous trend during the weekdays with almost no drop from Monday - Thursday. ## The Aditya Sarpotdar's directorial movie cleared the 35 crores mark after scoring an estimated 3.75-4 crores net on its first Thursday. Interestingly, or rather incredibly, the collection of Munjya remained in the range of the 4 crores mark which indicates a long run for the movie at the domestic box office. ## The opening week collection of Munjya is the 7th biggest first week total for a Bollywood movie of 2024. It is expected to remain strong in the second week despite the arrival of Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion and will aim to reach 50 crores mark by the second weekend itself. ## Munjya is the 4th movie in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe after Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya and is currently the third highest-grosser in the series. Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Alia Bhatt's highly-anticipated action thriller Jigra has been postponed to avert a clash with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie will now be released on October 11 in theatres worldwide. ## Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Jigra was originally announced to release on September 27 but has now been postponed by two weeks after Devara confirmed to hit the screens during Gandhi Jayanti week. ## Vedang Raina, who made his acting debut with The Archies last year, will be making his big-screen debut with Jigra opposite Alia Bhatt who is also co-producing the movie under her banner Eternal Sunshine. Hyderabad, June 13 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1 has officially confirmed to hit screens on September 27 after getting preponed from October 10, 2024. Mumbai, June 13 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has confirmed the rumours about the postponement of the highly-anticipated action drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. The actor said that the shoot of the movie is still pending and the team is not eyeing the already announced date. ## Ajay Devgn was speaking at the trailer launch event of his upcoming romantic thriller, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which is scheduled to release on July 5. When asked about the status of Singham 3, the actor said that he doesn't think the movie will be ready by August 15. ## "I am not sure (about the release date). The work on the film, which kicked off earlier, has not been completed yet and a few portions of the shoot are pending as well. We do not want to release the film in a hurry because that often ruins it. So when it is read, we will release it then", the actor said. ## Even though the makers haven't made the official announcement of Singham 3 postponement, the news was almost confirmed with other movies occupying the Independence Day weekend date. Los Angeles, June 13 - The advance booking of superstar Prabhas-led Kalki 2898 AD is on fire in North America with two weeks for the release. Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki is aiming to score the biggest opening for an Indian movie there. ## The pre-sales of the sci-fi epic have crossed $1 million in North America for the premiere which is slated on June 26. Mumbai, June 13 - Filmmaker J. P. Dutta has joined hands with producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series to announce the sequel to War epic Border. The movie was announced on the 27th anniversary of the first movie which is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters ever. ## Sunny Deol, who scored a mega-blockbuster with Gadar 2 last year, will be returning to reprise his role as Maj. Kuldip Singh Chandpuri in Border 2 which will be directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series and JP Films. ## The blockbuster sequel has been in the news since last and the makers finally made it official. It was written, directed, and produced by JP Dutta and also starred Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar alongside a supporting cast including Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt, and Sharbani Mukherjee in key roles. Mumbai, June 12 - The Independence Day 2024 weekend is getting interesting after rumours hit social media that Allu Arjun's Pan India movie, Pushpa 2 - The Rule was postponed to a new date. Now, the date is being occupied by other movies. ## Recently, John Abraham's Vedaa announced the release on August 15, 2024, and now, according to the latest reports, Akshay Kumar's comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein is also coming on the same date. Earlier, the movie was supposed to be released on September 6 this year.## Khel Khel Mein is directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films, and KKM Film. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal and Fardeen Khan in pivotal roles. It is said to be a situational comedy revolving around the lives of 3 couples. ## On Independence Day 2024, we will again see Akshay Kumar and John Abraham against each other at the box office.
