While the movie opened with a relatively modest start, the word-of-mouth seems to have kicked in quickly, resulting in a significant surge over the weekend. In major hubs like Chennai, the occupancy was as high as 76.5 percent, while Coimbatore saw a massive 87.3 percent overall occupancy. Regional distribution shows that the film is performing well across the board. On Saturday, Tamil Nadu led the gross collections with 2.37 crore, followed closely by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions, which contributed 2.25 crore. Kerala also showed strong numbers with a gross of 1.50 crore, while Karnataka added 1.25 crore to the tally. The rest of India contributed 0.70 crore, which is a respectable number for a regional language film in its early days. The movie managed an overall occupancy of 17 percent across 186 venues in these premium chains. The international market is also showing promising results. According to data shared by Venky Box Office, the North America gross for Friday stood at 121 thousand dollars, which includes 32 thousand dollars from premieres. On Saturday, the hourly box office report at 7 AM PST showed that the film had already collected 40 thousand dollars from 159 locations. The Saturday totals are currently trending toward 150 thousand dollars, which would be a solid outcome for the film in that territory. With a total overseas gross of 5.25 crore so far, the worldwide gross for DC now stands at 18.36 crore after its first two days. The overall trend for DC is quite positive.
